- Many of you have asked for more steamed recipes so here it is. Another super easy recipe for you to consider. We love Sesame Oil Chicken. Usually Roland will stir fry the chicken and then semi-braise it to make the dish more flavourful If you still find that troublesome , we’ve made it simpler for you all you need to do to make Steamed Sesame Oil Chicken is to marinate the chicken and then steam it. Super easy and yummy! This dish is good with steamed rice or plain rice porridge. Happy cooking!

Steamed Sesame Oil Chicken 香蒸麻油鸡
Ingredients:
Serves 3 - 4 pax

Marinated chicken

520g fresh chicken wings (cut into halves)
1 stalk of spring onion (use the stem part first)
1 thumb-sized young ginger (julienned)
2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
2 tablespoons of light soy sauce
1 tablespoon of premium dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon of Chinese cooking wine (Shaoxing Huatiao wine)
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
2 tablespoons of cornflour
2 tablespoons of sesame oil
Other ingredients
Some goji berries (aka wolfberries)

Made this for family dinner and it was a winner..I used 2 kg of drumlets and mid wings but only double the sauce. Steamed the chicken but cooked it further in pot with more water so that the chicken is very soft. This is a keeper! Thanks for being my Bible for big family dinners 😊
