    Yum this looks really comforting. I love using sesame oil, such a great touch and this chicken looks so juicy and loaded with goodness. Great with the rice for sure.

      @JacklynsKitchen  Před 10 měsĂci

      Yes, not needed at all. Just ginger and sesame oil and thats the original fragrance for this dish. 😊
      You can always add garlic or onion as you like, bit it will taste slightlyvdifferent, but sure its delicious too.

    If no glutinous rice wine. Can i use shioxing wine

    • @JacklynsKitchen
      @JacklynsKitchen  Před rokem

      Yes you could use Shao Xing wine. And would advise to additionally add 1 tsp of sugar since no glutinous rice wine.

    When you mention dark soy sauce, I wonder if you mean sweet soy sauce which at home we call dark soy sauce but to some other people dark soy sauce is almost same as light soy sauce only darker.

      Hello, thank you for your feedback!
      Indonesian and Malays have their different kind of sweet soy sauce as well. So, I don't mention sweet sauce. For my dark soy sauce, it's always referring to Chinese dark soy sauce ya (the thicker and sweeter version than light soy sauce).
      Hope this clarifies. 😀

    No salt?

    • @JacklynsKitchen
      @JacklynsKitchen  Před rokem +1

      Yes, salt is not required as there is soy sauce. If you like it to be more salty, you may put a pinch of salt.
