I saw your video of where you will have the house, and the area where people were tubing, I am so happy that you will end up in your favorite house with your TV and in a new area. I know the packing and getting everything ready to move will be a pain (as I have moved so many times in my life), but once you get all settled in and in an area that you like (away from ITH is also a plus), will be really nice. After you get settled in, you can go down to that point and go tubing, especially when it is hot. I am glad that you will have Walmart and close to town. The view from there will be nice and being up in your loft looking out the window will also be nice. I hope you get a job soon after, along with your Walmart delivery job, and get enough to save up for a fridge like your mom's, her Magic Chef fridge is really nice, I got one too that I had over a year ago, the week following Christmas (my Christmas present to myself). It has a roomy freezer. Comes in White, Black and Stainless Steel which is stainless steel on the doors with the rest of it being black. You can get a Black one and put stainless steel contact paper on it. It comes with a piece of hardware to allow you to put the hinge on the left side if you need to do that. I got mine on The Home Depot website and there is a video on how to change the hinge to the left side. I also hope you get a combo washer/dryer that can fit under the stairs, that if you want to get one. It would be nice to be able to do laundry in your own place. Glad that is a go, for North Carolina, and a fresh new place would be really nice, with a new venture checking out the town. I can imagine following the house and it would be nerve racking. Your mom sounded like she would love to live in that area too. Maybe when her lease is up, she will come find a place near you and your sister, at least you all will have each other there. Your mom seems really nice, and I hope she gets a place in that area too when her lease is up. Say Hi to your mom and sisters and of course, Cody. I bet he will enjoy the new surroundings too. That area looks beautiful and nice. I am happy and excited for you and your sister, and your mom. I understand the stress of moving and getting resettled, but it will be nice once you get all settled in, especially in your blue roof house. Your mom has more cabinets in the house you current are in than what Randy puts in his newer houses. I have more kitchen than what he gives these days. He puts a sink base and a set of 3 drawers and calls it a full kitchen. He used to be a decent more modest guy, but he has gotten too cocky lately, especially since he stopped building customized homes. I like some parts of the 10 by 20, but I would make it longer and put the bathroom in the rear instead of on the side, I would make that the closet. I did like the ones with the 10 by 10-foot front porch built on the longer trailer. I would have a trailer longer than the house and put a 10 by 10-foot porch and put a sliding door with built-in blinds and a screen door, I also would add a foot to the living room and kitchen so it would be 26 foot inside the house and add the covered deck. I also would not put the electrical panel in the living room close to the ground, I would put it in a closet at eye-level. I also would make room for a 27" full size washer/dryer combo or stacked (like the LG Wash Tower). He got too big for his britches if you know what I mean.
That’s great news! So excited for you & sweet Kody! I totally get living far from town. I grew up on a small town where everything was 30 minutes away. Live in a bigger town now and everything is minutes away. Good luck packing!
I think everybody on your channel is also looking forward to moving with you (in spirit) and see a whole new area in all your advemtures. I hope your new landlord has worked out a mutually good contract with you so you will feel secure there. Your mover sounds experienced so I'm sure he has insurance for any mishaps. So exciting
Love where you are moving. And, yes, moving is always stressful. Lots of changes all at once. Take care of yourself and rest as much as you can. Very happy your are getting your dear, blue roofed home back. Thank you for sharing. And good luck with that tooth issues. Hate tooth issues!
I live in the Eastern part of NC but have visited Bryson City. We loved it! In fact, my oldest son and his family lived there for several months before moving East.
Get on the internet and apply now, and explain your dates availability. You’ll be fine, and stress is annoying. Believe me I know it well. You got your Mom and sister, and your Utube gang are behind you…..bring home the boxes😄😉
Also check online how long you have to get your driver's license and registration changed and the costs. Every state has different dog immunization requirements as well. as dog tag for rabies.
The bug bombing the blue roof house may be a good idea but I'd double check for mold since it was sitting unheated over the winter. (You would want that resolved before moving back into it.) Glad it sounds like you will have your house back and at that beautiful site in NC. I'm getting excited for you and hope everything works out as planned.
I see Lowes has a kit for $9.99 to check for mold. "Mold Armor Indoor Mold Test Kit - Detects Mold Presence, Quick Results in 48 Hours, Easy and Safe to Use"
Your Mom is so gracious and kind to give you and your sister a fresh start by giving you all her two tiny homes. I hope you will make this move with optimism and hope. What is your plan to return your Mom’s kindness? She will be living alone now away from her daughters.
Actually my mom is the one that pushed the move so lol. I was content at Lola's. She really wants me to go be by my sister so.... yeah. I don't think she's as sad as you might think.?
I think their Mom is so sweet and generous as well. And no doubt just the fact she can rest easy, knowing her daughter's will be happy, safe and comfortable at their new location must bring the mom soo much peace of mind and joy. :) And I'm sure they will all be visiting eachother as often as possible 😊. ❤
So wonderful, you get to move and be settled. As much as moving is stressful you get to do this, this is exciting, I will be praying for safe travels for you.
Awesome Melissa!! So happy for you!!! Take care of yourself first, get your tooth fixed, things will come together. I know this is another stressful time for you having to move, finding a new job but things will work out for you bc you have positive vibes & look forward to the many wonderful things that await you. You'll get to be next to your sis soon.🙏🙏👍👍🥰🥰👏👏💖💖
So happy for you. Everything you wanted is happening. Can’t wait to see you back in your house with your decorated steps❤️. Always thought that was so cute. Things are coming together. The stress will be worth it in the end.
Good luck with the move, its always fun to have a new area to learn and explore. I hope you can manage your finances to be able to buy some land and then become set up for long term stability - even if it takes you several years. I took a different path when rebuilding my life nine years ago. I bought an unloved prairie ranch house for $11,000 which was all I had. It was not in livable condition, but I moved in anyways after about two months of work. Its 864 sq. ft. plus an attached 624 sq. ft. garage/shop all on 1/3 acre. I'm currently all in just over $58k, and I expect another $30k +/- before I would consider it mostly finished. My plan is to have the house finished by the time I'm 70 in several years and then I'll retire.
Kudos to you for being able to achieve such a feat. I would think something so cheap would have been in a remote area without jobs around, so it would be difficult to get the funds to complete the work (even if you did the work yourself since supplies are expensive.) Sounds like you are handier with a hammer and saw than your average guy (or gal). Happy to hear you overcame your difficulties and rebuilt your life and have quite a trophy (house) to show for those efforts.
@@pcthayer Thanks, it is in a rural location, a city of 5,800. Rural living isn't for everyone, you are correct about jobs. In the years I've been living here my jobs have ranged from 75 miles away to local, next year I'll be working about 20 miles away. There is no real traffic, so its no big deal. I am happy with the way things have worked out, but for most people living in a construction project zone of a house would be too much. Various parts of my house have remained torn up for an extended time, sometimes for several years, while I save up money for materials and hiring helpers. What I am really thankful for is that I own it free and clear, and even when my money has run thin I still have this place to call home, no eviction worries.
@@Thomas63r2 A paid off house is the only way to enter retirement. This is why tiny houses have become popular. Seniors are selling their homes and buying tinies with their equity trying to get their monthly expenses down. (I must admit most of the jobs I've had, I had an hour to hour 1/2 commute each way too, even though I wasn't in a rural setting, but a congested area with traffic jams or long commutes on the train so it sounds like your scenario was better than mine.)
Melissa is the only way for you to get your other house back include a move? Let me rephrase.. do you have to move in order together your other house back?
@@pcthayer I hadn't thought about tiny houses as a retirement strategy. I think Randy at ITH has said that single ladies, either divorced widowed or retired are ITH's biggest demographic. My current house was bought with retirement in mind. Its the perfect size for me as a single senior who still likes to work on cars and projects (my garage/shop is almost as big as my house), although its about half the size of the house I lived in during most of my adult life. I enjoy the tiny home videos for their creativity and cleverness, but I don't think I could ever really go tiny. God blesses everyone, we just have to learn how to be thankful for the good things in our lives.
Congratulations on your next move! How awesome is that? Kody will love seeing your sister .... and hopefully once you three ( sister ) get settled maybe your mother can move down? It's great to see your smile again. You look and sound happy. Hugs my friend.
I'm so excited for you to be getting your house back and for you and Cody to be moving to a place that you're happy with that has grass and a place for Cody to play in the water. Best of luck with packing and the move! ❤❤

Obviously it must work out okay for some people and that's great, but for me I'd really hate being that close. Anyway, the lot where you're going looks great and the nice creek nearby for Kody. Sounds good all the way around. Hang in there, girl, you'll get through this! 😊🐶💖
Life is always full of challenges but you are strong and young so I think you're making the right move. you will be closer to everything too. I loved that river by your new lot, bet you and Kody will love that. Excited for you❤

I'm so happy to hear you are moving back into your home and N. Carolina I have been a subscriber for a little while now . Best of luck moving looking forward to hearing from you again soon
Hi Melissa, I totally understand all the emotions regarding moving and yes I'm sure there will be some hairy moments but I feel that it will be a really good move for you. Just having your sister next to you will be comforting and with other opportunities for employment and most of all getting your house back will be great. I would try to pin point the owner down as to when facilities will be ready, maybe if it can be put in writing just to ensure the house isn't sitting there and you're paying lot rent and can't use it. Just a thought as my husband used to always tell me, get it in writing or you have no recourse. Anyway, happy for you, sending prayers that all goes smoothly for all of you and you can finally feel settled. When I lost my home in Superstorm Sandy it was nerve racking not knowing what the future held but in the end everything worked out as it was supposed to. Hang in there girl, you've got this!! We are all pulling for you!
You’ll be in my prayers! I know … moving is stressful and tiring! Not to mention having to work until you move! Just try to take it one day at a time … I know it’s easier said than done! Keep us posted … love you and Kody! 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸
Essential oil diffusing for fireworks and easy listening music. Doterra oils....Balance, Serenity and Frankincense......have been diffusing for years for dogs for storms and fireworks!
@eleanormassaro5195 YES, you are correct, some oils are not good for dogs....BUT the specific ones I mentioned are therapeutic. As I said, I've used them for years.....as prescribed by a holistic vet....I've been doing rescue for 30 years.....I certainly wouldn't suggest a protocol unless it was tried and true!
So FUN Melissa! Not the moving part, but I think you will be so much happier by Molly. Tooth pain is the worst! Take care of it sooner than later if you can. I would rather give birth than go to the dentist. Seriously hate it and I’ve had so much done. Unfortunately I waited too long on a couple and had to have root canals. As for fireworks it’s been the 4th of July since 7/1 and will likely continue until the end of July. I have one dog that is incredibly anxious. I got him a thunder jacket yesterday and it stopped his shaking and panting, but he was still a nervous wreck. And they are having a fireworks show in our neighborhood tonight. Boo!! I will be inside comforting him. My other dog could care less:) Have a great weekend!

BRYSON CITY is a nice little town, I used to go there when I visited my parents when they lived in nearby Sylva. I think the downtown has more to offer than Newport.
@@italian_grlI lived in Sylva for 11 months after my dad passed away in 2005. I got to know that area well. Waynesville offered great shopping, antiques, a fantastic apple orchard, several good restaurants and out of town was a shop (Steeplchase) that made thee best toffee!!! We were between Dillsboro and Franklin, we loved going to antique stores in Franklin and Dilliard. Maggie Valley is pretty...it all connects. Cherokee was always a favorite place to stop, too. They have the casino - I am not a gambler, but saw Gallagher (RIP) perform there. They employed a lot of folks. I know Cody is going to miss my brother being next door, but he will have new friends when you move. After this, hopefully no more moves.
Now that you will probably move to Bryson City, you might want to read books written by my FB friend and former family doctor, Walt Larimore. Charming tales! Good luck to you and your sister!
Well, if you like spiders. 🕷🕸 You're gonna have thousands of them in your home. Whenever you do , don't bring anything in that house until you bum the place. Take towels, your bed sheets your curtains. Please wash them don't leave them in there when you bomb. Take Wash after it's all bomb. Cause you're gonna. Find lots of spiders and some bugs even after you still gonna see spiders. You gotta kill the eggs. And don't get some generic bomb.Get a good quality one and read if they're really good.
Hey everyone, Does anyone know how much it will cost Melissa to have that house moved, (extra permit needed too)??? Does she have Cash app or is there a way we can support her $$ with this move? I know it will be a stress on her physically and financially. It's great to see some of you encouraging her to take care of herself.
There are 3 dots in the description section. Click on them and a menu will pop up. Then click on $Thanks. I have never done it, so I don't know what comes next. But I think it is a way to send her a cash donation. I am on my laptop, it may be different on a phone.

Life is always full of challenges but you are strong and young so I think you're making the right move. you will be closer to everything too. I loved that river by your new lot, bet you and Kody will love that. Excited for you❤
Thanks! And yes, i love that the water is really close by!!
That's wonderful news! I'm hoping everything works out.😊 Once everything is set up and you and Kody are back in your tiny house you can relax and enjoy the area. 🤗 🥰
@@deebee153 Being close to family will be less lonely, and a bigger home she loves…..a win, win!😊
Yes,i can't wait to be all done with the move and just be settled!!!
Congratulations on the move 🎉 I watched your last video and it's absolutely beautiful! Sending you lots of positive energy ✨️ as you begin this next chapter.
Thank you so much!!🥰🤗
I am so happy for you.
I'm so happy to hear you are moving back into your home and N. Carolina
I have been a subscriber for a little while now .
Best of luck moving looking forward to hearing from you again soon
Thank you so much!!
Yes! Thank you!🥰🤗
So happy for you😮❣️🌻🌼🇺🇸
Thank you🥰💕
Essential oil diffusing for fireworks and easy listening music. Doterra oils....Balance, Serenity and Frankincense......have been diffusing for years for dogs for storms and fireworks!
Is that safe for dogs? Because I know there are some essential oils that are not safe for doggies.
So Excited for you ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you🥰
So FUN Melissa!
Glad things are working out for you :-)
Thank you!
You will be happy in NC.
It's a beautiful area!
@@italian_grl my mom lives near Nantahala. I want to move there soon myself. Miss my mom.
As a new subscriber to your CZcams channel, I pray that everything works out for you fairly quickly so that you can be in your beautiful home 🏡, I heard you in another video how much you want to be home🙏❤️ 😊
Thank you so much!🥰
I wish you well my prayers are with you moving is stressful been there ,I checked out Bryson City so I am about 680 miles from Fl to Bryson City should I decide to check it out will wait and see how you do and things settle down ,Alice in Fl
I am so glad this is going to work out for you!! How exciting!! I am sure you won’t have any problem getting a job. 😊
I hope not, I've been looking up some jobs online...i do have my Walmart job until i find something else to do with it.
@@italian_grl are there any legit online jobs you can do? I know you have to consider Cody (not sure if you spell it with a K?). Wonder if there are any jobs regarding pets. Pet care, working at a groomer or doggie day care where he could go too. I had a home day care for 15 years after going thru a divorce (32 years married) because I had to provide an income first me and my youngest. My 2 oldest were already out of the home. Just offering suggestions. I will add your job searching and your move to my prayers.
Be careful out there. Watch JLR investigates. There is an escaped convict in your area.
Oh Melissa, I am so happy for you and your sister!! I have been praying and praying it will all work out for you getting your blue roof home back. Just breathe and trust GOD will get you through it. Try not to stress yourself out. Easier said than done, I know! Take care!!!! 😊❤️🙏❤️
Thank you so much!🥰
Do you have a choice of your lot? Great news!!!
Good morning why is your video on speed, can't understand a thing lol
I hear it just fine

Sounds and looks good to me.
@countrygal3688 don't know what happend when I started it the first time it was on speed,so closed it and started again,it was normal then,no clue what happend there
It would be great if your mom or sister could get the construction done on the inside of your moms house getting the damn stairs fixed the proper way!!
I dont understand what happened on your moms stairs, getting messed up.
@@pbayer773 ITH was suppose to build her moms house exactly like Melissa. But on moms house they forgot to put in stairs to loft! Randy refused to fix his error.
Great luck!!! Hopefully they will work fast to get utilities in. Did they give u a time frame? Can always work at Walmart so close.
I believe the end of the month is when I'm thinking it'll be all ready to go!
Is your sister close to where you are going? If so see if she is see if she can record the move for you. Just a thought. Good luck it will be great once you get settled in. So happy for you! 😊❤️
I would sure like to hear details about what happened to you and your mom at ITH. I have difficulty believing them.and worry for the innocent that do
Really??!
@@eleanormassaro5195 yes
yes.
BRYSON CITY is a nice little town, I used to go there when I visited my parents when they lived in nearby Sylva. I think the downtown has more to offer than Newport.
Oh yeah, it's much better than Newport!! There's nice bigger towns not too far either, like Waynesville..
I’m so happy for you!🎉
Exciting about the move and sorry about the tooth
Where is this NC place. I also have to find a lot in NC. Cost?
The location was mentioned in the prior video, but the cost she kept private.
@diligent - there's a new TH community in NC coming up. The owner was interviewed recently by the channel Mic Thinks Tiny.
@@kitty_s23456 can I find out more please?
Seriously , I wouldn't move until he has utilities.. What if he decides not to put in utilities? I mean your house btw because of the expense.
These are all things i have wondered as well but my mom and sister said they have it under control,i sure hope so.
Plus, Melissa can stay in her mom‘s house at Lola’s until they get the right utilities and stuff in at the other home
Who is paying to have it moved?
People were complaining at ITH sounded like a war zone with fireworks going off at ITH!!!
Our neighbors all shot off fireworks till 11 pm at night. My dogs sure didnt like it.
Hey everyone,
Does anyone know how much it will cost Melissa to have that house moved, (extra permit needed too)??? Does she have Cash app or is there a way we can support her $$ with this move? I know it will be a stress on her physically and financially. It's great to see some of you encouraging her to take care of herself.
This would be a great idea for those of us who have followed and supported Melissa on her Tiny Home Journey!😊 PayPal and or cashapp.
@@khristinacurnutte3851 Ok, I checked and found it.
@@khristinacurnutte3851 Does she have PayPal?
There are 3 dots in the description section. Click on them and a menu will pop up. Then click on $Thanks. I have never done it, so I don't know what comes next. But I think it is a way to send her a cash donation. I am on my laptop, it may be different on a phone.
