I know it was hard to leave your friends at ITH, but it must feel like a relief considering the "Cliques" at ITH, they'll regret forming one day. Cause the majority of people are good, those other cliquey folks will end up one day finding themselves alone, and that's super sad. That's not what Tiny Home Community living is. Everyone should come together on the same level and accept people for who they are. I hope you guys find the place of your dreams! Wishing you and Kody all the best!
There are always pros and cons to any changes. It sounds nice that you will be close to your sister since it appears you two get along great. You will meet new people and friends, especially if you find another retail job nearby your new location.
If you move, you will need to get a different PO Box for folks to send "Happy Mail" to, or maybe it will motivate you to visit your Mom atleast once a week to pick up your mail and see her too. 🙂
Yes, i will definitely change my mail when i move. It's not for a while though. A month or so maybe. It's an hour and a half from Newport... but i think we'll have mail where we live or get a po Box there. But for now, i still have the po Box with mom.
Even though you have friends where you are right now, if you stay, there is always a chance that your friends circumstances could change, and they have to move on. Friends are important, but your number one concern is you and your future. That is the good thing about modern times and the internet, cell phones, etc. It is easy to keep in touch, and maybe on your days off you could meet 1/2 way for an occasional fun day. I sure hope your sister can find a good carpenter to fix the stairs in the house she will be staying in!! That would be so great! I can’t wait to see the video tomorrow or the next day!! Don’t forget to get the Salene Nasal spray at walmart or wherever. My doctor gave me a demonstration o how to use it. You spray it in one side of your nose, hold the other nostril closed and suck up the medicine in each nostril this way!! He said it will wash out all of the pollen out of your nose!! It does work and it’s amazing how you can death again!!! I’m done with the “tip of the day.” Lol I am so excited to see the next video of NC!! Be careful and have fun on your trip!
My husband likes the nasal rinses (neti pot or squeeze bottle) better than the sprays. It does a good job of rinsing out the sinus cavities so he can breathe.

Melissa, I know you have gut problems. As I do. I found out, that using anti-histamines, continually, will hurt your gut, badly. I quit taking my Claritin D. I use nasal sprays, instead. My doctor told me I was allergic to my town. That is how bad it is. I 🙏 to God, for your blessings.

I totally get the apprehension and just wanting to be settled. I lost my home in Superstorm Sandy, lived with my Mom for 6 months and eventually did get a home close to hers and then had to sell my destroyed home/property because I could not afford to fix it. I felt so unsettled during that time and unsure of what was going to happen. Continued prayers that you will be able to have your home again and feel settled again. I don't like change either but I have a feeling this might be a really good thing!

This journey of life is not easy. I went through a divorce many years ago and I know how difficult that is as well, that's why I get what you've been going through. Hi Melissa and friends.....just found your channel not too long ago and know you posted that there was a problem between you and Randy and your Mom. Could anybody who knows about problems at ITH please comment on what is happening there? I am supposed to have my tiny built by them and get a mountain lot with it but now I am so worried.. I 'm retired and if I give them the money I have put aside and they don't come through with what they are supposed to do I don't know what I'll do. Don't have extra money to afford to make a big mistake and I really can't afford to stay where I am....it's in NJ and very expensive here, close to NYC. Had to stop working after a bad car accident and have followed ITH for 5 or 6 yrs. I saw a couple of videos you did a day or 2 ago and I remember Will and Becky worked for them and saw the video of their really nice bome at ith 2 or 3 yrs ago. I believe they were also very friendly? I already have money that I gave them but now am afraid to give them more. You seem like a very nice person and very believable. I don't have family in Tn. but after reading some comments I am pretty scared. Don't have family here anymore either but some good friends going back from when I was still working as a nurse. I just have my 2 small dogs that are my family and this is a huge move for me to make with them. They each have chronic health problems as I do. Someone just commented that God will come through with information and help when we need it. I am thinking maybe that's why I found your 2 recent videos about ith ....naybe God is trying to help me? I know they laid people off and that there was an article in the newspaper in Newport. I am just scared and not sure what to do anymore. I 'm under the gun timewise because my apartment lease is up in September. 😢 So if you or any of your followers know more information about that situation I would be very grateful 🙏 if anyone could post a comment to me. Can you afford to stay where you are? I'm not sure what all is going on with ITH, but Newport Plain Talk has a couple of articles on them that are concerning.
@susan - Melissa's mom had 2 tiny houses built by ITH. They took possession of it (and lived in Tiny Town) sometime in 2020. Both houses had mistakes in the build but a major issue was the stairs in the mom's house. ITH didn't want to repair the issues and Melissa's mom sued ITH. The case was dismissed without prejudice and the judge said that she could file again. (we don't know the details of the case.) The mom moved her house out of TT and set it in Lola's place (I think while the case was being heard). Melissa stayed on at ITH. Late last year, Melissa's lease at ITH was not renewed and she was given 1 month notice to take her house & vacate the premises. They (Melissa & mom) have placed the house in storage, Melissa moved into Mom's house at Lola's. Mom was able to get an apartment at a 55-plus community. Re: ITH, if you read reviews from Google, BBB, Yelp etc, you'll find many negative feedback re: the quality of their builds and poor customer service. The channel of "Tiny Dreamer" has a vid on what to look for before getting a builder for a TH. She also had her house built by ITH and it came with many issues. Some were fixed, some she compromised on. Re: ITH, there's a recent article in Newport Plain Talk website. The channel "50 plus life 360" also discussed the article. I suggest to read the comments in their vid. I also suggest to think very hard before giving ITH more of your money. Good luck!

Ummm I'm not really sure, but... there's bean station, lakeland ridge tiny home community. I did 3 videos of that place a while ago. They build homes there too. Good luck!!!

Melissa, I know you have gut problems. As I do. I found out, that using anti-histamines, continually, will hurt your gut, badly.
I quit taking my Claritin D. I use nasal sprays, instead. My doctor told me I was allergic to my town. That is how bad it is. I 🙏 to God, for your blessings.

I totally get the apprehension and just wanting to be settled. I lost my home in Superstorm Sandy, lived with my Mom for 6 months and eventually did get a home close to hers and then had to sell my destroyed home/property because I could not afford to fix it. I felt so unsettled during that time and unsure of what was going to happen. Continued prayers that you will be able to have your home again and feel settled again. I don't like change either but I have a feeling this might be a really good thing!

@@italian_grl Thank you! Things got better as far as getting a home, however I lost my husband in December 2019 and then my Mom followed 4 months later. Just taking things a day at a time. This journey of life is not easy. I went through a divorce many years ago and I know how difficult that is as well, that's why I get what you've been going through. I truly hope things improve for you and this new possibility works out!!

Could anybody who knows about problems at ITH please comment on what is happening there? I am supposed to have my tiny built by them and get a mountain lot with it but now I am so worried.. I saw a couple of videos you did a day or 2 ago and I remember Will and Becky worked for them and saw the video of their really nice bome at ith 2 or 3 yrs ago. I believe they were also very friendly? I already have money that I gave them but now am afraid to give them more. You seem like a very nice person and very believable. I don't have family in Tn. but after reading some comments I am pretty scared. Don't have family here anymore either but some good friends

Can you afford to stay where you are? I'm not sure what all is going on with ITH, but Newport Plain Talk has a couple of articles on them that are concerning.
@susan - Melissa's mom had 2 tiny houses built by ITH. They took possession of it (and lived in Tiny Town) sometime in 2020. Both houses had mistakes in the build but a major issue was the stairs in the mom's house. ITH didn't want to repair the issues and Melissa's mom sued ITH.
The case was dismissed without prejudice and the judge said that she could file again. (we don't know the details of the case.) The mom moved her house out of TT and set it in Lola's place (I think while the case was being heard). Melissa stayed on at ITH.
Late last year, Melissa's lease at ITH was not renewed and she was given 1 month notice to take her house & vacate the premises. They (Melissa & mom) have placed the house in storage, Melissa moved into Mom's house at Lola's. Mom was able to get an apartment at a 55-plus community.
Re: ITH, if you read reviews from Google, BBB, Yelp etc, you'll find many negative feedback re: the quality of their builds and poor customer service.
The channel of "Tiny Dreamer" has a vid on what to look for before getting a builder for a TH. She also had her house built by ITH and it came with many issues. Some were fixed, some she compromised on.
Re: ITH, there's a recent article in Newport Plain Talk website. The channel "50 plus life 360" also discussed the article. I suggest to read the comments in their vid. I also suggest to think very hard before giving ITH more of your money. Good luck!
