I love the irony in this episode. Meadow is tells Fin that "Vito Spatafore is a married man, I seriously doubt he wants to kill you". When it was Vito, who pulled the trigger on Jackie Jr
Damn, totally forgot about that but those ‘Black Drug Dealers’ 🤦🏽♂️
How’s that ironic. Specifically killing Jackie.
@@JayyJay92 Basically, Fin is scared that Vito will kill him. Med tries thinks thinks is a ridiculous notion...when, actually Vito already killed one of her past boyfriends. Only the viewers know this, though...ironic
@@MisterNoah Yeah,i'm curious if she would still think it's just a "certain mode of conflict resolution, from the poverty of mezzogiorno..."-when Jackie's life was cut short...Anyway with that brain of his,he would have drowned in some puddle or something!
I noticed that too. He is theone who pulled the trigger on her ex. And I am sure this wont turn out great for the new boyfriend either. This episode made me go WOAH!!
the lack of air conditioning in this episode was epic...
I heard somewhere that, at least the first scene with animal blundetto and tony, were filmed in like February and it was actually freezing cold that day. James ended up falling asleep in the escalade while trying to warm up lol.
“Let’s have Chili 🌶 for Dinner!”
🥵🥵
@Zach Bartlett I thought that was one of the parties they shot, hell it was probably the case with a lot of scenes
@@zachbartlett2829 I'm super late with this but there's a video of him sleeping in there and his foot was on the gas the whole time so the engine was just revving lol
Not really part of the plot so I know why you skipped over it but the scene where Tony scolds Sil for putting Peeps on the gravestone is one of their best scenes together. Fuckin hilarious writing
Fucking Jason, he's dislexic.
Family name is Peparelli!
@@miaouew I love how Tony had to check the paper to be sure of the name himself. He's only scared of the meeting with John he knows he's gonna have, so he doesn't want any other reasons for it to get worse.
I’ll call the marble guy
"Peeps?! It's a fuckin nickname! Family name is Peparelli!" Best part of episode hands down
something i love is how meadow “reveals her own ignorance” in the scene were she criticizes carmela for being dependent on Tony and uses herself and finn as an example when literally they are also dependent on tony as well.
Great point, Kanye West
It's a pleasure to meet you Mr West
Kanye says the same thing about Kim and her sisters on the song Eazy. They critize while eating off the table lol
Yeah, she boasts that Finn managed to get a job even though it was provided through Tony lol
true tony got finn a job , paid for her college in full and probably paying half the rent of that NY apartement
I would have commented sooner, but these "unidentified black males" jumped me on my way to the computer.
You gotta be careful out there 🤷🏽♂️
Carmella is like my mother, she is unhappy and afraid about many things, but none of that is nearly as strong, as the fear and laziness of having to really find a job and providing for herself like regular people. Anything but that.
Can relate with mine
@@josejpl1 The ironic thing is that, nowadays, such mentality in women is even more striking, since so many women have careers like Meadow, and since mens' sallaries are usually too low to support the entire family. Few men are as wealthy as Tony Soprano, yet so many women are still like Carmella. Both Carmella and my mother (maybe yours too), come from old-fashioned cultures, where being a wealthy housewife was the archetype of a successful woman, but those times are over. I remember even stories from my mother, about some Ucranian golddigger, who managed to manipulate a wealthy Italian man into marriage and sharing his money with her. She portrayed that golddigger literally as a heroine and she whined about why she was not as lucky too. Now I see how pathetic and sad in my opinion it all is.
carmella could have divorced tony and still live good that house was in her name it was worth at least 1.5 millions even if she gave tony half she would still get out with 750k and monthly support paid by tony
@@mohamedhichemmouzali6505did you miss the part where no lawyer will represent her? Major plot point in this episode.
The scene where Vito talks to Finn it looks like Vito is on Geonosis in Attack of the Clones lol.
"My arch nemesis"
When Vito said he was greasin' the Geonosians....
I have seen too many memes of that, I can't unsee it now either lol
Vito looking back at the clones while order 66 is executed. “Wahtttt? It’s just a joke!” As he is then lasered to death.

I saw someone comment on a “Wire” video that the 2 black guys are actually Omar and Brother Mouzone and all I can say is that thought will forever be canon in my HBOverse.

He was greasing some unidentified black males too.
'He's gettin' his weasel greased' . . . by Vito.
Never understood why the security guard didn't just tell Vito to just stay down for a second longer lmao
tbh same, it's not like he was seen already, so why would he pop up like Punxsutawney Phil? 🐿
@C. Hart Maybe you're a flambe
Exposition. Fin needed to get it in just that instant, not days or weeks later. 😅 it would sure speed things up a lot if we had exposition in real life.
Every time Meadow keeps saying “You packed a suitcase!” Was getting on my nerves
she knows that means 'he was a rat'
He did pack his suitcase tho
@@nickwood8762 could've been worst might packed hers lol
@@nickwood8762 or she might have been upset cause it was their only suitcase
The “two Black guys” is an interesting recurring theme throughout the series. In the first season the hit against Tony was carried out by “two black guys” also
Also the men chris pays to kill carmine then murders them when tony changes his mind
The two black guys also appear in last scene before Tony gets whacked
Because it is a MUCH USED reason given by most guilty liars when they are in a corner or are questioned and want to throw the police or inquisitor in a different direction. I like the bravery on this. Shame we all snowflakes nowadays.
The last episode, Made in America, Tony is killed by the guy in the members only jacket who is a hitman hired by Eugene's wife after they inherited millions from Eugene's aunt. Vito foreshadows the members only jacket in a previous episode.
@@worstxb1playertylerteehc635 I’m not a snowflake don’t speak for the ones who aren’t like this
The interesting thing about Carmella being "stuck" in a relationship with Tony is that she isn't willing to take any chances. As you said, she could very much make a go of it herself. Much like Angie Bonpensiero did - but that would require years of stress and hard work. Carmella is the kind of character who wants all the rewards but no risks.
Which is why her and furio wouldn’t work
It's true but also Tony and his jealousy, I mean he literally if she tells him she's got even a crush on somebody. Tony will kill him lol. I mean it's that ridiculous and of course carmela low key knows this. Deep down.
The therapist told her to leave him a long time ago. It's like Skylar in Breaking Bad when the lawyer told her to leave her drug dealing husband.
Carmela's a nuisance, her character is so irritating. Who's worse Carmela Soprano or Skyler White?
@@theALMIGHTY987 Skylar is worse. That woman is insufferable. The actress herself played the victim of sexism irl bc the fans couldn't stand her 😆
That scene in meadow and finns apartment is always hard to watch, just imagining it elevates my blood pressure. Meadow not believing finn that he fears for his life because of vito, her screaming "you packed a suitcase!", the two of them being covered in sweat, etc
It showed just how self centered and entitled that Meadow was. This was the episode that got me to hate her.
@@hullbreach33 It showed her how delusional she was about the Mafia, but that's quite common among Mafia families, and the wider world.
By the end of the show she accepts what her life was.
You fukin buzzard.
Yeah I was thinking that too. I was like Fuck you Meadow can you not understand the risk this guy is now in ?? Guessing he only proposed to her for protection with the name being the son in law of Tony.
Maybe you should take some blood pressure medication. Or maybe not.
The Melfi scene where he has a panic attack was one of the best of the series.
Tony's panic attack in melfies office was one of the few times I have watched an actor completely melt away and truly become the character cause it was so real and you can see the look and Tony's face that he genuinely feels guilty for lying about his panick attack Gandolfini was such an amazing actor there was a video I saw that broke down this whole scene line by line and every facial movement every inflection in every word had so much meaning behind all of it it is my favorite scene in all of the sopranos and man R.I.P to Gandolfini
I saw that video too, it was extremely well done.
Top top top class acting right there. He truly was one of the absolute greatest.
Video title ?
@@DirtySouthJR "How James Gandolfini Navigates Emotion"
czcams.com/video/rLSm2RSpVKI/video.html
That's def my favorite melfi scene, just ahead of the one where she floats the idea his mother has bpd and he flips the coffee table
I like the scene with Carmella and Meadow shopping because they both don’t realize how much they rely on Tony. Meadow calls Carm out, which is true. Carmella never made anything of herself, just rode along with Tony. However, same with Meadow to an extent. She brings up Finn as if he is independent cause of his job. But it was Tony who gave him the job lol
but carmella literally stated to tony that he was the one who didn't want her to even get that real estate license
It was funny that Vito said, "I knew that was going to happen," when Eugene beat down Little Paulie for implying he was gay.
It shocked me that they were only ‘breaking balls’ but Eugene ended up smashing a glass bottle in Little Paulies face over a joke?
I knew that was comin!
@@MSJChem because he was closeted-gay...
@@MSJChem Eugene was a made guy and Litlte Paulie wasn't. Little Paulie took the joke too far and there was nothing he could do about it...

PEEPS.... it's a nickname you idiot
Omar and Brother Muzzone were everywhere according to this episode.
Yep, two easy scapegoats are all over the place.
Lol
Sopranos triggers Pure Kinos bad memories, don’t worry we’re here for ya. Thanks for the episode.
No sopranos just make him emotional he has an empty stomach he should eat a breadstick
“Long John Silver maybe” is my all time favorite line from the series.
Blaming ones problems on the easiest scapegoats has become a running gag on the show.
Pure Kino relationship trauma dumping is what I came to this channel for.
those pleas to just "drop the subject "cuz you have to be up for work at 6 AM.....
I don't think Finn was able to buy a pack of gum with the money Paulie gave him, let alone take Meadow out.
I hear you, but this was before inflation.
“Peeps?! That’s a fucking nickname! His family name is Peparelli!”
Meadow cooking chili during a heat wave, whatever happened there.
"this is really good chili" *sweats profusely* 🌶
I like how the power struggle within the Lupertazi family is like one of the many civil wars in Rome when Julius Caesar died and Augustus and Marc Antony went to war. Blood of the Ancient Romans truly runs in their veins
You didn’t talk about the tombstone screw up. Silvio’s excuse is the funniest thing ever
Shoot, we’ve all been there before being stuck up all night, listing to a girl arguing about the same thing over and over.
Vito standing there after you piss and commenting on that very piss is stressful. I really don’t blame Finn at all. None of this shit was his fault
Fin DeTrollio, my arch nemesis.
One other instance of ‘unidentified black males’ is when Eugene smashes the bottle on little paulies head, and Vito tells eugene he should leave the site and someone should call an ambulance. When eugene asks what the cover story is going to be, Vito says “i think i saw a couple n****** running that way”. Its so typical for them to pull that as a cover story to the police and just exposes their instant racist undertones they hold while simultaneously acting oppressed because they’re italian
My favorite recurring Sopranos characters, two black guys running that way.
so this is how Carmela ended working as a corrections officer at the penitentiary
James Gandolfini's best performance imo
"You can see in his eyes that he knows this is a mistake"
THAT is some damn fine acting
Felicia was played by Paula Garces.
Everybody was interested in Felicia😎
I’m watching through the series for the 1st time myself, and I literally just watched this episode yesterday. Watched “Test Dream” today. Amazing timing that I found your channel when I did. Gonna listen to the back catalog and catch up! Keep up the great work
It’s worth pointing out that Eugene smashing Little Paulie’s face with that bottle was a homophobic reaction. Finn carries this trauma as a driving factor over the fear of knowing Vito’s secret.
You didn't understand the scene.
@@darthkek1953 how so?
@@saturdaymorningcereal8325 it wasn't a fear or hatred of homosexuals that motived the attack, it was a fear of losing pack status. Paulie Germani is by all accounts an associate, Eugene Pontecorvo is a Made Man. Associates do not insult Made Men. For that matter, Paulie Jr even defending himself against Eugene would be a death sentence.
@@darthkek1953 that’s moot. The insult taken was homophobic.
@@saturdaymorningcereal8325 you can make a homosexual insult to someone of your own rank, e.g. Paulie Sr and Silv, what you cannot do is make one up the ranks. It's a status thing.
Family name is Peparelli!
I hope the hijacking incident w/Tony B is in the movie. He was a raising star in the"life"w/o nepotism. I believe that's what Tony feels bad a/b!
poor little paulie he's always getting his ass kicked
I am rewatching the series in 2023. This is one of my favorite episodes I think.
Scenes that make you laugh out loud, other scenes with unbelievable tension. Just so good. Thanks again Kino!
“But you packed a bag!”
little paulie took the most ruthless hits out of anyone in that show! 😂
"You have a HBO subscription, I have Pure Kino".
At least Ralph had the decency to blame chickening out on the clap. 😂
This was very good and important in understanding the messed up life of the mob. Thank you once again for your work, it's outstanding
“turns out someone got a look at the guy who did Joey Peeps. They only got so far as to say he’s got a bad limp”
“hmm. Long John Silver maybe.”
Last episode about the old broad and her cringing performance was absolute perfection!!!
This was also a great episode as well. Keep up the good work mate. Thank you for your hard work, effort and energy you put into this project. Pure Kino is a brand now 👍
thank you so much for not having a loud music intro
You forgot the part when Vito was in the midst of Jedi engaged in battle
Little Paulie must have smiled when Gene noosed himself!
Man fuck lil paulie he's the softest out the crew
For me, it's one of the funniest episodes. I burst out laughing at so many points of so many characters' reactions. For example, when Paulie realized that Finn is dating Meadow, he goes over to him and stucks a couple of bills in his pocket like he is his son 😂 Carmela crying because of mixed emotions at the end and she looks at Tony who's just splashing water on his stomach 😂 Tony saying that it's like taking a shit at Melfi's office, and of course who can forget "Peeps" on the headstone 😂😂
Yes! Another one?! Your breakdowns are straight up, awesome. Thanks so much and cheers!
Long John Silver maybe?
Carm only had sex with Tony as a reminder he missed two installments of expensive gifts, and how great it could be if he never let that happen again.
1:30 Tony trying to calm Jonny down at the funeral reminded me of when he tried to calm Carmella in whitecaps, I almost expected him to tel Jonny “my cousin wasn’t there , now let’s lie down and calm down “ lmao
Waiting for your Paetreon narration has become like going through the Marvel movie end credits for that last extra bit of goodness.
Imagine how much of a plot twist it would be if it was revealed the real power behind the five families is two black guys
Man I love your videos. I just noticed something: 1/ the hit takes place, then 2/ the two Tonys are hanging out in Tony Bs backyard, then 3/ Tony goes *golfing* (wtf?) with Johnny, then 4/ Tony confronts that animal, Blundetto, at the Bing. … Then after all that, 5/ there’s the funeral. That’s a *lot* to take place between a murder and a funeral. 🤔
Wait, Vito was blowing the security guard? Catchin' not pitchin'? *throws cards down*
Wow way to upload Kino! ❤️🖤❤️
I think they prefer to be called "charcoal briquette- Americans"
Eggplant Americans

Another great upload my bro
I think Finn instantly knew that Jackie Jr was killed by her family when she says he was killed by 2 black guys so why in the world would he want to marry into that family?
i honestly think finn proposed to her out of sheer stress, tiredness and downright wanting to end the argument, like kino said, they were up ALL night arguing imagine having a long conversation not only at night but an argument that is pretty much probably just going in circles bickering and arguing over the same menial points. you are tired hungry sleepy annoyed anxious and stressed, i feel he was just like fuck she isnt gonna stop im not gonna stop let me just end any and all possible arguments about this and get married it shuts us both up and we get some semblance of happiness
What the fuck? Peeps it's a fucking nickname. Family name's Pepparelli...
I think I saw a couple Breaking Bad fans running that way!
Ho! Those guys!
Some black guy liked this video
Great stuff! Keep it up!
“Peeps!? That’s a fucking nickname!”
Your videos need to be longer cuz theyre awesome
Kino knows you always got to leave em wanting more
Finn actually shows up to work at a no show job what a honest guy
Pure Kino: "during the suitcase scene I had to pause to look at Fielder's tummy"
pure kino on a friday? fuck yeah just the best to get outta school too
My reaction to Vito popping up in that truck was priceless when I first saw this episode haha
It was hilarious Vito said when the ambulance came to get little Pauline to blame Black people too that’s another one
4th time in the episode is when meadow tells the story of Jackie jr being murdered by black guys. The third was when she saw her bf see the mobsters fight at the construction sight and Vito says they blame it on black guys.
The only reason I know this is because I’ve watching practically the whole show through CZcams clips. And yes I will watch the series when I can just moneys tight and can’t afford hbo max
She truly has selective outrage. When Tony smirked at a black guy stealing her bike, she got all in a huff 🚲
Kino!!?? It’s a fuckin nickname! Family name is Kinorelli.
Goodness gracious! Where do you get it? I thought that I had seen this episode years ago.
KINO! -10 points for not showing Joey Peeps' epic gravestone!!!!
This episode reminds me of that one South Park episode where butters parents and all those people say their loved ones were killed by “some Puerto Rican guy”
Carmela: I want what I am entitled to.
Tony: You're entitled to shit!
Damn good scene.
Superb commentary -- this episode has a "Goodfellas" connection. Early in Henry and Tommy's hijacking career, a truck driver whose truck was stolen, comes racing into the diner exclaiming that 2 "Black guys" stole his truck -- thus giving the mob a pass.
"black guys" lmao
Vito and Finn,whatever happened there...
Kino? Its a nickname, The family name is kinorelli
Not gonna lie, Paparelli sounds like some sort of Pasta.
Kino? It's a fucking nickname. His full name was Kinorelli.
3:25 After Eugene beats up Little Paulie, the following words are exchanged:
“Why don’t you go home you’ve been sick all day?”
“What? And one of these civilians calls the cops?”
“What? I think I seen a couple uh niggas runnin that way”
“Oh yeah, those two guys”
Not the most family friendly verbiage, but YET ANOTHER MENTION OF BLACK GUYS.
The argument between Meadow and Finn is perfect. Reminds me of arguing with Ex-girlfriends that just wont let things go and obsess about keeping the argument going until I would fall asleep haha. It is a perfect scene.
Always an instant like for kino
