@@josejpl1 The ironic thing is that, nowadays, such mentality in women is even more striking, since so many women have careers like Meadow, and since mens' sallaries are usually too low to support the entire family. Few men are as wealthy as Tony Soprano, yet so many women are still like Carmella. Both Carmella and my mother (maybe yours too), come from old-fashioned cultures, where being a wealthy housewife was the archetype of a successful woman, but those times are over. I remember even stories from my mother, about some Ucranian golddigger, who managed to manipulate a wealthy Italian man into marriage and sharing his money with her. She portrayed that golddigger literally as a heroine and she whined about why she was not as lucky too. Now I see how pathetic and sad in my opinion it all is.

For example, when Paulie realized that Finn is dating Meadow, he goes over to him and stucks a couple of bills in his pocket like he is his son 😂 Carmela crying because of mixed emotions at the end and she looks at Tony who's just splashing water on his stomach 😂 Tony saying that it's like taking a shit at Melfi's office, and of course who can forget "Peeps" on the headstone 😂😂
