A very passionate sports legend, A very jovial person. India was praying for his victory against Andre Agassi in the 96 Olympics match. People who watched the match knew he had his chance in the first set. It was heart breaking. Also the Paes Bhupathi combo was too good till it lasted. Sad to see it end the way it did.I hope Aiyana is as crazy as him and will bring lndia it's Olympic gold in tennis.
Played golf with Leander at Mercedes finals at Pune last year. Excellent golfer as well. Gem of a person.
This has to be the best interview so far!! Super proud of you Nihal.
Truly a living Legend !! A true sportsman 100%, Age was just a number, his best was during the later part of his career. What a spectacle to watch.. One of the greatest Indian Sportsman. Watched him from his Junior Wimbledon days. What a Journey.
Grew up watching Vijay Amritraj, Ramesh Krishnan, Enrico Piperno and so many greats of Indian tennis. Then came Leander Paes who gave us immense joy. Along with the youngsters now, Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi, Thank you from the bottom of my heart and yes I do understand it is about Leander, but hey how's the cake without the ingredients. Ciao
Leander Paes is my favorite Indian sporting hero. His back story, battling through breathing problems as a child, and then playing for a sport which is not cricket in India, which is a solo sport, making a career as glorious as his.. Hats off! Thanks for this amazing interview!
One of the greatest sportspersons of India. Respect, Leander!
WOW!! THE LEGEND!! Seeing Paes brought back memories from the 90s! we used to say when he was playing for the country, he is surely gonna win.. somehow he was different when he played "representing" india than like a normal match!! Now I know why it felt like that! Also nice to hear him talk about perseverance and persistence!!
Along with Sunil Chetri, Leader paes are both the greatest inspirations. because no one gave them a chance to win. but they fought all odds to get where they are today. Jai Hind !!

It won't be an overstatement to say this gotta be the best interview, especially his story!! And he's a very articulate person!! :)

Ah my favourite!!! What a legend he is !!! 🙏🏽
when he picked the arjuna award goosebumps legend sir thanx for bring this interview
goosebumps all the way. Every word he speaks is like a motivational, as if its a documentary on greatness.
Such a humble human . He’s so adorable
My favorite player . We always counted on Leander to beat anyone , literally any top player in Davis cup. Match with Goran Ivanisevich was the most memorable one . Happy Retirement Leander. Hope you continue to guide the current generation of players .
For the first time in my thirty years of existence I learnt what the logo of Adidas really meant. Thank you Brut India:). Great interview as always.
It was just an ad campaign it's not what the name means. Company is named after its founder Adi Dassler.
Thank you for clarifying, appreciate your response.@@exec771
Truly a great ! His passion & endurance is legendary .
A great role model for generations to come
An iconic ambassador not just the game of tennis but for India .
Lovely interview .
Such a passionate person Paes is. I always supported him wholeheartedly whenever I watched him. He rubbed his shoulders with greats like Martina Navratilova etc. in a sport that’s uncommon in India.
Bravo ❤
Fab interview. The mind boggling hard work, the millions of repititions no one talks about. Wow❤❤

Leander well spoken and always smiling
Really love how the hardships of earning money in the sport is touched upon here, not many people are aware of this fact. Great interview❤
What a strong personality…. Respect to you sir ..
One of the best of the series so far
This is my most favourite out of all the brut sauce interviews ❤
You got a chance to interview a legend you could have asked questions on what it takes to become an ATP tennis player (journey, training, coaching, diet etc..) that would help a lot of young tennis players in India and around the world.
One of the top sportsman from India. Finding him and ramesh krishnan mentioned in Agassi's book Open, did it for me. I couldn't believe that out of all the great players that agassi has played against, andre named these 2 along with sampras, becker, steffi etc. great stuff really.
Great hosting nihal, very nice and clean style

Sneaky host won the racquet bounce cause we was catching the racquet in the middle while Leander was catching it in the usual grip.😅

The interviewer does a little "extra" but good interview.
Cute
is the cameraman drunk. please hold camera properly. 4:33
The greatest sportsperson India has produced imo. Maybe Neeraj Chopra is a close second. Also, the show host is painful. Plz train him better. He's loud, boisterous and doesn't seem to recognize the incredibility of the achievements he's seeing.
He looks like Leander’s son
Oh mahesh buphathi was year of tiger. weird
