  • Finally finished my homemade jointer!
    Took me more then a year. All in all a great success!
    450€ is not too bad. And it was a fun build. Seeing it work so well is really satisfying.
    Plans: woodgears.ca/jointer/homemade....

      Thanks John! CZcams didn't allow me to monetize the video i think because the car brand sign was showing too obviously in one scene. Really annoying when something random in the beckground ruins it :)

      +Cosmas B can you tell what is the motor pulley to cutterhead ratio and RPM of cutterhead? Is the motor 1phase or 3phase? I'm planning to build this maschine with Byrd shelix cutterhead and wondering abuot decent motor that would suit to my project. Thanks.

    • @CosmasBauer
      @CosmasBauer  Před 8 lety +1

      +Remis Koopa the motor is three phase and the cutter turns at about 8000rpm

    I love building machines too, but I only build machines that are going to save me money or don't yet exist. As far a s Mathais Wandel goes, I think he should give the plans away for free. He makes so much money on his CZcams channel from adsense that it seems greedy to sell the plans. I give my plans away for free, why be so greedy? My plans would draw a lot of money, but I am not a shyster.

    • @CosmasBauer
      @CosmasBauer  Před 9 lety +5

      He makes quality stuff and sells it for a reasonable price. Don't see what is greedy about that. Only because you claim to give stuff away for free doesn't mean other folks have to as well.

    • @BlueMacGyver
      @BlueMacGyver Před 9 lety
