The last time you saw this Chevelle we fabricated the entire hot and cold side of this turbo system! Now it's time to make it look like a show car with some sleek sheet metal for the engine bay! Before we even begin the metal fab process, we get our hood in place with some shiny new billet hinges. Then we're taking you through the process of designing these custom closeout panels with a little help from some old school CAD (cardboard aided design). From there we go ahead and transfer all of our stencils to sheet metal, cut them out, and show you how to weld them all together without ending up with a funky shape! Then we tie it all together with a set of BMW hood latches

We need a Tim fab channel! I can watch this guy work all day!
We're hoping to start a mini metal fabrication workshop series soon!
Best fabricator on CZcams
Thank you!
Cried when he started grinding
Absolutely love these videos full of fabrication work! One suggestion: Let us know how many days it's been in between steps or how long a step has taken. Obviously we see that your outfit has changed so we know at least some time has passed, but it's cool to know the steps took X number of days or hours to complete. Helps to drive home just how much time and energy you're putting in to this build.
That's a bit harder to do because there will be times where we're jumping around from multiple projects like the EV truck and our other builds. But we'll try to give it a shot in the future! Thanks for the support & feedback!
@@SalvagetoSavage its definitely harder to do when jumping around, but buying like a cheap digital clock and just hitting the timer function and letting it run in the shot somewhere gives a pretty good idea of how long some of these processes take
Wow, this car is going to be a beautiful creation.
It's really coming together nice!
This man is next level ... i would have never imagined
Thank you so much!
Tim's metal fab skills are truly unparalleled. I enjoyed watching this update on the build. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product. It seems like patience is key here.
Definitely! We really appreciate the compliment and all the support!
Amazing. This car is going to look sick when done. Like I’ve said before. Not sure why there isn’t more subscribers on this channel. Spread the word people. 💥
We really appreciate all the support! We're still relatively new. We relaunched our content just over a year ago and it's guys like you that keep us pushing to make new content everyday. We can't thank you enough for watching!

With the way you don't stop until your happy with it means alot it's not a slap this on here and cover up mistakes item. It's purpose built with pride and some serious skill man keep it up
Thank you so much! We're not in the business of half-asking things. Especially when they leave here with our name on it. We really appreciate you taking notice of it!
Amazed, thoroughly impressed, and entertained!
Glad you like it!
You make it look easy but it is not. You have a ton of metal fab skills. Awesome work.

You guys should do a set of door handles from the C7 Corvette next 😏
ooo we'll definitely take a look at em!
One step closer to hearing it roar to life ! Also that blue Mustang looks really sexy ! Thanks for sharing !
Thanks for watching!
There is no wrong way to learn something new. Some people will say “you’re doing it wrong” but if you’re happy with the end results, then you did it right.
That's the cool thing about this type of sheet metal work too. It's more art than anything else. None of it's really structural, so if it looks cool and it holds together, then you did it the right way!
I have always gone by the theory of Jesse James, he once said, metal will do whatever you want it to, if you mess up just beat into submission.
Such an amazing fabricator
We really appreciate that!
That's some ninja-master level fab skills.
You got that right when you say you don’t like the easy way. Amazing job!
Thank you!!
Oh man. I had a 70 Chevelle and I miss it terribly. I loved that car. It's nice to see this one and imagine where i could have taken mine. Just got done with my truck project. i would love to get my a old car and hot rod it.

Wow, thanks!
Lookin good!
Thank you!
amazing fab work guys love it!!!
Thanks so much!!
Still doing awesome work using awesome techniques and some awesome tools. Love the videos and the content
Thanks so much for the support Frank!
Nice work! Quesion though. Why are you cutting squares on the plasma and then manually bandsawing the rest, as opposed to putting the full pattern in the plasma and letting it do the work?
It's faster for us to cut them manually when we only have one or two of the same shaped piece to cut. We cut them from hand from our template instead of having to take that template, calculate all the lengths, figure out all the angles of the compound curves it has, transfer that onto the CAD program and cut it.
All that fab work, what a dream. Excellent work as always you guys!
Thank you so much!!
Omg that looks so good. Thanks for giving me some ideas oh and this is still the most beautiful twin turbo setup out there. Great job guys
Glad you like it!
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 awesome fab work, the car has changed so much- it’s looking great!
Yes it does!
Have to say your work is so detailed and looks amazing, Keep up the great work/videos, my fav channel by far
Thank you so much 😀
Loving the videos, I'm soon getting into metal fabrication on my 2002 jeep build and its good yo get these helpful tips and tricks.
That's what we love to hear!! We're thinking about throwing out some tutorial videos in the near future. Is there anything you're struggling with that you'd like some tips on. Or anything you're nervous about tackling that you'd like to see covered?
Amazing....... 💪💪💪💪💪
Thanks!
Nice work you do. :)
Thank you!
Твоё мастерство впечатляет👍🔥
Good video with lots of quality fabrication. How long did that panel take? I hope you didn't give the guy a flat fee LOL.
I'd message Tim on IG to get a timeline for it. It definitely took some patience to make!
DOPE
Thank you!
The works top notch & all, but I'm just not too sure about the yellow hood hinges, they should be brushed aluminum, I'll know if they're changed in the future it's because I mentioned it. HaHaHa
The yellow is what makes the POP! lol
New subscriber bro 🔥🔥🔥🔥

You can get good templating paper from Costco for free, just ask an associate if you can't find it, there used for packaging the toilet paper and napkins on the pallets, the usually 3x2 feet, there a little thicker than poster board, some are white, some are brown.
Thanks for the heads up! We might have to try and go snag some!
did you say costco and free?? 🙀 my 2 favorite words! i will be checking this out!
What’s the thickness of the sheet metal you using?
Car is looking beautiful fellas, nice work!
Much appreciated!!
What type of 16 gauge sheet metal are you using?
Looks Great! But I kept thinking what no Tool tray and beverage holder?
It's on must-have list for our next engine bay buildout! lol
@@SalvagetoSavage Nice!
Will there be enough give in the exhaust and intake systems for when the engine torques on the mounts? Knowing that it's going to put out some pretty high horsepower and torque, the car is going to flex. I didn't think of this while watching those videos, but did while you were making the template around the intercoolers.
It's a very similar set up that we have in ChaChing, and we've had no problems so far with that build!
That close out panel looks great. Can't wait to see the rest of it.
It's gonna look even spicier once we add the final details in!
@@SalvagetoSavage I bet so can't wait to see it
Very nice work!👍
Thank you very much!
👍🤘
My wife bans me from the kitchen hours at a time. I wish this was that long, so I can annoy the living shit out of her to watch my favourite U Tube build...Just kidding. I`ll get my son to do the annoying bit....😎
of only I had the money
Is there anything functional about all that metal? Or is it all just decorative?
These closeouts are mainly just decorative
💪👊👋
Show 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
🤗👍👏👏👏
Are you gonna sell these panels?
They are purely a one-off fitment. You'd have to have the same custom turbo and cooling set up that we have for it to fit. And that work is 100% custom as well, if you check out some of our other videos on this build
What I'd give to job shadow these gents
We really appreciate the love and support! Are there any types of fabrication tutorials you'd like to see us put out?
What is a "Ntch Bjuild"?
The word he used there was "Niche". It's something that very specific and not very common.
@@SalvagetoSavage He sais Nitch not Niche
