----------------------------------------------------------------------
This week we're finishing out all the insane metal work on the engine bay of the twin turbo LSX Chevelle! Last episode we laid the ground work to start adding all the little details to really make the Chevelle pop under the hood. We're making some cutouts in our closeout panels to add in some slick looking mesh, and then cleaning up all of the janky factory metal on the hood to give it a matching look. We're also switching the factory windshield wiper motors from an engine bay placement, to a hidden placement inside the cowling. It takes a bit of fabrication, but the new guy Dave knocks it out of the park. He started to make a closeout panel for the cowl as well, and uses a new Tim trick to make sure he gets the perfect guide to cut a solid shape from his sheet metal!

Glad you like it!
The untrained eye wouldn't notice all of the work to the hood. And that's the stuff I love. This build us amazing
Thanks so much!!
I think we all like the fact that you fast forward through parts that don’t matter too much. Your attention to detail is what sets your builds apart.I went to Amazon but could not find Avalon King, who is the manufacturer? Thanks S2S
Check out the link in our description! It's right at the top
Another home run hit! Your thought process of your design exceeds the Ring Brothers by leaps and bounds. 👍🏼
Thank you so much!!
The details!!!! The mesh under the hood! AWESOME!!
Hey, Dave, welcome to the build! Just fyi: Don't forget to look at the camera instead of your image on the screen! 😀
He did great for his first time vlogging! We were pretty impressed!
Best build channel on CZcams. Very, very cool.
Brada you do some incredible work wish I was younger and could do like I use to. Thank-you for the small KINE HAWAIIAN inspiration MAHALO da boys in Florida AWSOME CONTENT
You can still do it Albert! It's never to late to get back to fabbing!

Not sure what he pays you, but you need a raise!!! Looks amazing....
Timmy works for
Free, because he loves fabricating so much 💯🙏🏻
I put this system in my 66 impala to maintain my smooth firewall! Great video!
Thanks so much!!!
Really nice work tidying everything up. That hood was a mess but really tuned out nicely. Of course along with everything else going on!
Thank you!!
Really enjoying this build! The new guy did great on camera to. I always sucked on film lol.
It takes a lot of practice to get good. We were surprised at how well he was able to track his progress on camera!
This Chevelle is coming out great!
Glad you're enjoying it!
Was so excited to see what's happening next, not disappointed at all
Glad you like it!
Man, you do great work!
We really appreciate that!
Love this type of fabrication content!
Glads you like it!
Top notch fab on that close out panel. Great work guys.
Thank you!
Very cool build, Thanks Tim!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks fellas!
Our pleasure!
Brilliant job, always happy to see you 🤗👍👏
Thank you so much 😀
@@SalvagetoSavage always nice to see your professional fabrication ✨😌👌
True craftsmanship!
Thank you!!
I think it would be AMAZING if the work metal work you did on the underside of the hood and the plates and grates were all polished!
Just gorgeous work guys. This is going to be sweet.
We can't wait to get it fired up!
New guy is a natural!!! He will get used to not looking at himself and looking at the camera after just a few vids! U guys stay killing it! Tim doing his Magneto shit as always! Dude is a god with metal lol
Thanks for all the love Fish! Once he gets move down here permanently, he'll get some more practice in!
When that's all finished, the underside of the hood will look as good as under the hood (the motor & all of Tim's other handy work)!
We couldn't do all the work to the engine bay and leave the hood looking all janky!
That's some good shit, great work Tim!
Thank you!!
Good work Dave!
He killed it! We're stoked to have him move down here to South Florida!
I would think Tim is better with metal than a steel stamping press from 1960s.... looking good fellas.
Technically Tim is a steel stamping press from the 80s, as his birth certificate would tell us! lol
@@SalvagetoSavage hahahahahaha this is why i follow! love it!
An algorithm booster comment for your channel.
Appreciate the boost uriel!
Timmy you're just a master, I love seeing your ideas. The turbo, the mesh, THE COLOR!! Just wow!
Thanks a bunch!
The quality of work is appreciated! Man that’s a great build.
I appreciate that!
So clean and so nice. You are the best 🤓🇫🇷

Glad you enjoy it! Thank you for watching!
Badass fab. Work💕
Keep it up, another semakiller☺️
Thank you so much 😄
I’m glad y’all showed the wiper install to see how to hide the motor.
Hope it could be helpful!
Great work Tim! Nothing but the best work! It's motivation for me!👍
I appreciate that! So stoked it's getting you excited to work on your own builds!
This is just top work Classe A.
Thank you!
Such craftsmanship props I wanna learn
We're going to start dropping fabrication tutorial episodes soon hopefully!
Killing it with the builds as always!

Very precision work, designed on the spot, looks perfect.
Thank you very much!
Killing it again, Tim does beautiful work

it's a BEAUTY!

@@SalvagetoSavage you’re welcome!
Nice job on the Chevelle🤙🤙
Thanks 👍
Epic as always. The mesh ties in nice on the hood. The details that are going into this thing is beyond crazy. Keep it up.
Thanks a ton!
I love the beauty of your metalwork that comes out of your mind.❤️🇨🇦👍
Thank you!
Genius. Mad skills!
Thank you!
You all are awesome fabricator’s, love the content 👍 keep up the awesome work
Thanks! Will do!
That so badass American Muscle🔥😈🇺🇸 old school 😤🫶🏽💪🏾

Looking really good. Like how the mesh inserts turned out
Definitely makes it look spicier!
@@SalvagetoSavage agreed. Got me some upgraded looks for my expedition I'll be installing soon
Dave seems useful. Work him hard!
Dave's awesome! We don't have to work him hard because he does that on his own!
Another awesome video. New guy is cool. Love the Tupac bandana on the bird. Gangster bird or BirdPac lol ….
Thanks for the support!
Another awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing job!
Thank you!
That was a good one.
Glad you like it!
Engine bay is coming along nice!!👍
Thank you!
This custom 1-of build is definitely ranking up there with the likes of Trepanier, Foose, Kindig, Martin, The Ring Brothers just to name a few.... The older 60's / 70's muscle cars, Chevelle's, Camaro's, Mustangs etc are all no doubt iconic, but to me, they're all cookie cutters. Don't get me wrong, I love them all, would never turn one down, I owned a 68 Malibu, but they're pretty much all cut from the same cloth. Some would use the old cliché, "You seen one..., you seen'm all"
From all appearances, it may look the same but the looks are only skin deep..
I can't say enough about the subtle nuances and the attention paid to underside detail that makes this sleeping beauty stand out among the rest. In comparison to a beautiful woman, this has to be a perfect example of what a car looks like when its wearing sexy underwear and see-thru lingerie, either of the two will get a man excited and his heart racing.
Awesome build you guys, love the direction you are going, every custom part and panel looks like it was meant to be installed from factory but GM forgot to put it on. Keep up the great work and videos.
That means so much to us! Thanks for watching and thanks for all the support As long as you keep watching, we'll keep posting them!
@@SalvagetoSavage that's a deal.
Looks awesome.
Thanks!

We're itching to get it running!
Wow. That is beautiful work. When it`s done....Can I have it. Please with sugar on top....😎
You gotta ask the owner!
Man that's pretty.
Thank you!
So sorry guys forgot to tell you im from New Zealand and will need it in a right hand drive thanks..
We'll just get a pulley system going to swap the steering wheel over! lol
Still goin HARD on the fab work boizzzz! \m/
Thanks for the support Gene!
From a guy that does aircraft structure repairs that was all sexy.
We appreciate the compliment!
OMG all that mesh looks 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
I wonder if that wiper setup would work on my 78 Camaro 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Not without some modification. But you should be able to find a similar kit!
@@SalvagetoSavage you have a name of a vendor?
Shoot us a message on IG and we'll see if we can dig up the invoices!
The only thing that throws it off is the throttle body 😆 one is inside and one is outside, to bad they can't match, only in a perfect world huh they would...but other than that its so beautiful
We're still brainstorming on a way to change those motors up!
TIM Dude, dope work! 👌🏻
Thanks ✌🏻for sharing. ☕ 🕐oh, sht 🔥 that is effin hot man! 🤬, the work on the Chevelle dudes! Looking killa!
👍👌✌🏻🍕🕐🙋♂️🌤🇨🇦👨🦽😎.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the support!!
Looks good, but you need to rotate the drivers side mesh 90 degrees!
I’ll check it to that. Thx
Good eye
1st.... noice. Great video, loving this build!
Noice! Thanks for all the support Iain!
All that precision work by Tim, then Dave notches out the bracket and grinds down the wiper arm ? Make a new bracket or at least pull it and make a proper cut on it to allow the arm to clear.
Why would we have him waste time making a new bracket for something that we would never see? The wiper system is made to be functional. Not for show
Как обычно, всё супер, машина преображается)))смотрю с большим интересом!!!
Just wondering if you could step die those grills so they pop up kind of flush up thru the cutouts.. Might look pretty slick...
love all this fabrication...great job on metal work for the radiators & intercooler..amazing build...,as a 'fan' freak (heat extraction ,surge fans & cooling) ,when I rebuild my 5 cyl turbo Volvo and doing a new dash set-up with new gauges ,I found out it could get really hot underneath with all the wiring ,gauges ,electronics ,so I installed 4 12v small laptop fans under small grills to ventilate under the dash (especially in summer) works great and keep all your electronics cool & dry..I was wondering if you guys did anything special for the fire-wall to keep that 'turbo' heat away from the inside..that car came N/A stock right..??
Yup! Stock N/A. We really like the laptop fan idea! That's really cool. We'll have to keep that in mind when we start wiring up our ECU!
Where did you purchase that wiper kit again? I have a 71 skylark I'm looking to do a wiper system kinda like that
What material do you use for the fabricating is it just normal sheet metal?? And you get down with all those designs and fabricating like you come up with stuff on the spot and quick it's crazy how fast you can make and come up with designs and custom parts!👌✌💯🔥🔥
For the most part just normal sheet metal. The thickness varies depending on what we have to make. But it's more of a process of building and layering. You create a general shape that looks like it would flow with the engine bay, then you just start adding all the little details!
A Closeout Panel is meant to direct airflow through the radiator instead of allowing it to go around adding the mesh made it pointless. The hood looks 🔥🔥 though.
It’s still a close out panel to some degree if one never existed in the first place ….right?? But I’m sure they appreciate being schooled…they still look like they have a lot to learn!
We have a lot to learn? Lol well I think we’re doing a pretty good job getting our builds done, on the road. But sure we learn and sharpen our skills daily
Yah the air will go through the grill, and through the cooler, and then through the radiator. I hardly doubt it’s going to run up through those 1/4 holes in the close out panels and cause the motor to overheat.
need some led lighting behind the mesh
Oh for sure, that comes down the road
dont forget the logo
You know we can't forget that!
trabalho top demais👍👍Brasil
Thank you!
Why would you add vents in the close-out panel behind the grille??? Isn't the point to direct airflow through the radiator?
Are u putting rollcage in gto ur build
Probably not. We don't think it's what the customer is looking for. But we'll see once we start on the interior
Andarilho
💪👊👋
Is that Tesla drive unit in a c123 Dave?!
Yah man, sure is. David is relocating and will be our newest teammate
Is this a customer build or is it being built to be sold at like an auction or something?
This one belongs to a customer
.
I don't know the background of your shop, do you own this or work for someone else? The only reason I ask is because I'm curious on what you drive.
This one's a customer car
Nice work. That’s called perforated sheet not mesh. Mesh sheet looks completely different
And also that’s called round rod not pencil metal.
We know I what it’s called, but we obviously make up our own names for things. I mean it’s much easier to say mesh isn’t it?
Where's the cowl tag? Another one of "those cars". I am curious if all the VIN and hidden VIN stampings match. Edit: there is no VIN tag either "nothing to see here people, move along"
no offense but this makes the C10 look super boring
When it's finished we'll put them head to head!
13:40 👎🤢, please Tim remake it ✌
Remake what? The functional part that you're never going to see? Our address is on the website. Send us over a check and we'll get right on it!
@@SalvagetoSavage ...only because you do everything precisely. You're great, hat down
