    @BearMountainBuilds thanks for the 3 part lesson. I greatly appreciate you having a lady working side by side...Nice respect! Love your furry foreman! Mine is an orange tabby cat named Dusty Snugglebum! Appropriately named since he loves to roll in the dirt while he watches my building...lol.
    I have a suggestion for the loft. My husband has a set of stairs for the loft at work PLUS a gate in part of the railing. Carrying heavy items up/down stairs is not ideal. They have an hydraulic lift in front of the gate. Whoever uses the gate/lift is of course required to wear an anti fall harness.
    Since heat rises...you might want to keep that in mind when deciding on your office. For summer it might be best to install a skylight with a screen to allow heat to escape if you plan on putting your office up top.

    Looks awesome Zac, my only thing is that I would have had a removable section on the mezzanine for easy loading up there IMO. But again looks awesome 🇦🇺

    Really enjoying your build videos and especially this loft build. I am in the process of getting a shop built and wanting to add a loft as well. I have thought about something similar for railing either with rebar or cable railing. Love what you have done and now really considering this type railing as well. Great Job!

    As far as the space goes. It looks great.
    I don’t know that I would have the patience for the cable setup. I do need to redo the balustrade in our living room, but not sure what I want to go with.

    Another great video, nice seeing the “extra pair of hand” helping out! The “I’m not telling you” is BS. Absolutely can’t stand that crap.

    What did you do to smooth the 90° joint on the top railings? It didn't look too friendly when we last saw it

  • @NavyCopMA1
    @NavyCopMA1 Před 27 dny

    I did a cable railing system but on poured concrete. I like to think I am fairly diy handy but, man, kill me (glad I did it but won't be doing it on concrete again anytime soon!) Curious why you used cabinet grade for the flooring? Looks really nice and smooth, but I know price jumps with it as well. Just curious about the thought process for that.

      @BearMountainBuilds  Před 27 dny +1

      I wanted a more finished look on the flooring to go with the headers and posts so I was between Sande and cabinet grade plywood. The Cabinet grade was cheaper than the Sande at the time so that made the decision for me

      @@BearMountainBuilds Got it. Once you mentioned putting an office up there I saw the reasoning as well. I'd rather slide on a finished floor vs tripping on regular underlayment. For me, at the moment, I can feel my bank backhand me anytime I even walk down the cabinet grade aisle! Lol..

    I’m also curious why you used cabinet grade plywood for the flooring.

      It was probably paint grade. At least at my local lumber yard, a 3/4” sheet of paint grade birch veneered is just under $50 out the door.

    First, I don’t have any experience 3D printing yet. I just bought my first printer. Not sure how great it will be but we will see. I picked up an AnkerMake M5 for $400 from Best Buy on one of their drops. Have to go pick it up today actually.
    On that note. One video I recently watched was this one and he’s got Prusa and Bambu in the video.

      Travis from Shop nation does a really good job going through 3D printing and setting it up as business. Highly recommend watching his videos. Very informative. I myself have a Bambu X1C. I love it and have used it non stop. The P1S version is the better choice for getting started and is excellent as well.
