Two inexplicable murders lead to a pair of identical girls separated by thousands of miles. Mulder and Scully find the girls are connected to a secret eugenic program producing intelligent homicidal clones.
I always wanted a sequel for this episode.
It absolutely should have gotten one, if not stand alone then a clever connection with the myth-arc clones.
I'm sure that it would been as intriguing as the sequel for Pusher was.
Personally, I like that the story takes several turns and surprisingly gets better and better until the end. The fairly open ending is perfect for this type of “Monter Of The Week” episode. This episode may not make it into my personal top 10, but it will definitely make it into my top 20 when it comes to the best X-Files episodes of all time. Thank you for creating this video! :)
I think you make a good encapsulation of the episode. The misdirection works well here all the way to the end.
This episode always gave me The Children of the Corn vibe. And that's a good thing 😀.
The creepy child is a very effective horror trope and works well here. Reminds me of the Boys From Brazil too.
A monster of the weak episode. I thought it was part of the mythos. I guess it has been a while since I have seen it
