its a pretty cringeful episode. CC does not understand the motives of terrorists at all and takes a really gack handed swipe at writing about it. but this scene at the end is lovely. I like when M holds his hand out for her. It's impossibly chaste and sweet.
Extremely well written perspective.. theres so much truth to a lot of the concepts reflexes upon throughout the history of this show.. I've always appreciated that and really still do. Always felt like more than just late night viewing... thank you guys.
I know alot of people disliked this episode but it's one of my favorites of the whole series. I know it goes all over the place but thats what i love about X-files, the show can be whatever it wants to be. This episode was very deep, funny and sweet.

Even if the new episodes (Seasons 10, 11) did not stand of the level we used to have in the X Files , it did had some great, enjoyable moments, like this one.
Their relationship was always the heart of the X-Files. What they investigated served as a vehicle to put them in motion, so we could see that relationship grow--and so we could see their characters evolve. Love, under the craziest and most impossible circumstances, has forever been a window into humanity: We see who we are, only when everything is at its worst, yet when we have someone/something to connect with--as we undergo and recover from the ordeal. I think Chris Carter knew that, and wanted to do it again. And, at the very least, in this scene he and everyone involved succeeded.
She is aging very well. David actually looks very well too. The long hair though doesn't suit him anymore though. He looks 5 years younger if he gets a tight haircut. Gillian is the kind of woman that so beautiful she just looks more mature and sophisticated as she gets older. Though her hairstyle in Sex Education isn't suiting her as well as long hair. Seems when you hit 50s hairstyles are important lol
I have high hopes for the future of the x-files. I think with season 10 Chris was able to see what fans want and don't want very badly, witch is good. He can't change the mythology the way hes trying to. If he changes it back to "aliens are coming too take over the world" like we know it will be feel. Plus now we get to see Mulder and Scully kinda fall back in love with each other witch is going to be amazing. And Chris did say season 11 will go back to the dark "x-files" feel that we know and love about the show.
sadly we don't even know if Scully will be in S11 because Gillian may qut. Plus Fox is taking too long to greenlight I think they won't. But this made my Sculder heart pound and that's enough

Chris and the show want to go back to the old dark ton x-files like in the 90's. Season 10 was kinda just something to wet our tastes buds and show that the x-files is not over. I think it did more good the harm. Now people who never saw the x-files are buying the whole show on netflex and and stuff. But what about Gillian??

This was one of my all time favorite series. Its was literally 10 seasons of the greatest literature and artistry that has ever been produced on a TV or cinema screen. This horrible last season is so far removed from the original series, where the actual interconnected plots, the fantastic cast of characters and the overall conspiracy storyline were what mattered, that its almost a completely different show. They literally broke this show into so much garbage that has nothing to do with the original intent and purpose it had. Its now been reduced to one long, screeching, boring virtue signal about the idiot producers woke politics. They should have just left it alone as it was. Politics run amok has ruined everything today.
The aerial shot of the house is of the filming location at Bileberger Farm, BC. However that aerial shot seems to be superimposed upon a satellite shot of some unknown location. If you look at where Mulder's house should be relative to locations you can see on the final satellite shot (e.g. Baltimore downtown, bearing left etc.) it should be somewhere near Calverton VA. It is not. I suspect that the cloud layer hides some satellite shenanigans.

Unless I'm truly ignorant, which I won't deny, CC nailed the terrorist mindset. But this scene, while related to the episode, stands by itself.
And when Mulder holds his hand out for Scully, and she grabs it with both hands, the look on her face shows how much she adores/needs Mulder.
