- War Thunder, its a great game that no one loves. Ask anyone that plays this game what they think of it and they'll tell you they fucking despise it but still play it everyday.
Anyway I am no authority on this game, played it on my ps4 a long time ago and recently got into it again and I am no heavily addicted and gaijin has my family please god send help this isn't a joke.

If anyone is interested in playing, don't ram into people as planes, do not shoot your allies down as planes when taking off (realism mode) we got enough trolls, also arcade is alright but expect the entire enemy team to know where you are and your weak spots before you even get over a hill for an ambush, realism is best in my own opinion

Arcade is best, in realistic you don't fight enemy ground forces, but you fight always the enemy CAS.
@@giulio7853 in arcade the enemy already knows where you are and where your weak points is, in realistic if you are good enough you can flank the enemy and destroy them with surprise
I highly suspect Gaijin intentionally tries to frustrate players with matchmaking, uptier games and map selection in order to sell premium accounts and premium vehicles. Is there a map you don't do well on, beyond the one you can ban? Expect to see it 3-4 times in a row. Bought yourself a shiny new premium vehicle? Expect to only be able to use it in uptier matches. Finally decided to pony up for a premium account so your silver lions don't go into the negative, because you are being constantly getting f@cked over? Expect your "team" to be comprised of A) The player who thinks it's fun to fire off their machine guns to the empty sky, giving away your position. B) The player who instantly pops smoke at first sight of the enemy, again giving away your approach... while also obscuring the enemy. C) The player who cuts you off at the start of a match, then takes it personally and decides to start a ramming war with you, slowing the whole teams initial progress D) Or all of the above. Meanwhile the enemy team will be comprised of combat veterans who know every nook and cranny on the map and can snipe you from anywhere...

The entire thing about the D point is that there used to be a D point on the carpathians map where you could resupply certain equipment (I dunno what equipment I wasn’t there).
Gaijin never removed the command and now it’s more used as a way to say good luck or have fun in a sense.

A stuka going mach 2 towards your house would be fucking terrifying, because at that point it would no longer be a stuka but very fast pieces of ripped apart metal with a bomb in there somewhere
Haven't played this game in years. kind of played it till I unlocked the American ww2 planes I wanted. Liked the planes, liked the tanks more. I do remember grinding for boats too, but not that much.

I unironically think that's the way it's supposed to be played.
Get the thing you want then stop frustrating yourself, play the game you want.
Then when you get bored of that redownload WT play a few matches then delete again for another few weeks, months, years even. (because it just takes up too much space and it's easier to ignore the stupid ass battle passes that way, takes too much time to download it with its size for something so spontaneous though)
The reason people keep coming back to this game is that there's really nothing in the genre that does this better or even on par and it's hard to imagine a world without WT having spent so much time on it. (without taking the nostalgia-factor into consideration)
Long story short: ground battles is the definition of Stockholm syndrome
Still the best plane/tank/naval combat game out there, nothing comes close.
Low tier is the most fun & you dont have to grind for that.
IL-2 and DCS are both unfathomably better, IL-2 for ww2 and DCS for modern jets and choppers 😂 wt doesn't even come close 😅
Squad44/Post Scriptum has better tank gameplay although it is multicrew and Il2 also has better tanks but it's hard to find a populated server for it^^
Wt simply is free to play and the fastest, that's all there is to it ;)

@@Schimml0rd War Thunder is the best because it has every branch except infantry (wich they have in Enlisted for WW2) in one client, not because its the most realistic. It is realistic enough especially in sim to distance from something like World of Tanks and add depth of gameplay trough it while also being much more accessible than specialized games like DCS that excell in realism in one segment like air combat, while also maintaining a constantly huge player base for every game mode.
the think about War Thunder is that the community openly hates the game, yet we still play it lol.
With somewhere around 5,000 hours...you didn't even get into the scandals and controversies, but everything else was fairly spot-on.

I played for the tank combat and got fucked by planes and helicopters, and around 8.0 repair costs become so high that if you get a kill for each death you often lose a few thousands or profit no more than 10k, not enough to keep up with new modifications, and nowhere near the 1.5 million needed for the next vehicle
So i have around 1400 hours in this cesspool of a sometimes fun game. I mainly play tanks so i don't have any big experience in planes (naval is full of USS moffet bots)
Tanks in top tier is a rofl stomp from your enemy team so don't touch that if you value sanity unlike me. Tanks in the WW2 era can be fun becourse you don't have any laser rangefinders or fucking arrow shots so you have to find the range yourself and angle (if you play germany tho)
Otherwise it can be a fun game but it's super grindy and almost not worth it if you wanna play as a none premium player and if you have friends that plays this cesspool of a game, that will ease the pain...
also get ready to be spawn camp literally 3 minuttes into the game
1 minute into the game, my Brother in Christ, ONE MINUTE. I have been spawn killed in the first minute by planes... then there is Berlin river side spawn trying to cross to a key location. Not even 30 seconds in...

yah iv got about coming up on 10k hours over the past 7 years of play time each mode gets to the point that you just try each out and from my hours i have a few key notes
Arcade: once you pass about rank 3 in a nation you just kinda notice that arcade is useless and makes no money or RP it ither A needs a buff to stuff to be worth playing or B reworked to have more people
Realistic: by far the best mode to play for air and ground if you only have about an hour to play or are chilling with friends
Sim: ground is meh but AIr is a lot of fun if you have a stick and hours to play
never play boats EVER sorry naval players its just not fun

Hilarious and truthful take. The grind is brutal, but it plays well with my OCD.
imma say this as i mostly play tanks is. use the minimap its a great tool and keep an eye on your team mates cause far to many i have had my team mates drive right past me while a tank is running my fade and this happens more often then not of the blind teammate. Like me personally if im by a teammate on the minimap ill generally try to drive someone in their direction jsut incase or keep an eye on them on the minimap.
also learn your tank that your driving dont just leroy jenkins into the enemy team very few tanks can do that and even fewer can do it well.

I'm not too worried about putting a little money in this game. I only do the .99 cents at a time which is rarely. That gives you enough points to do a few things. You can upgrade the planes and crews you have and make them better. You can get a lot of points if you get a few kills. You do that every game and they add up pretty quickly. Also, use planes with low costs to fix will save points. I mostly just do the planes. Never really tried tanks or ships.
Dude you should have way more views and subscribers. Quality of vidoes is really good and you're pretty funny so i was suprised when i saw that you don't have much views and subs. I wish you best dude good luck

I stopped playing WT years ago when it became pay to win. I started playing in Beta and played rather religiously until they pulled that bullshit. When you have years invested into a game and people with less than a week of playtime have better planes than you do, something isn't right...

I got around 5000 hours in warthunder and i love it only thing i hate about it is the russian tanks they are very hard to kill but IRL its so so easy m1a2 in warthunder gets smoked by a t-72 the armor model and model of the tanks are wrong between Russia and USA abrams series tanks are easy to kill while the T-80BVM is legit immortal if you dont get that lucky driver port or the tiny lower plate shot while you have to be accurate with killing the t series tank such as the T80BVM while they can shoot the m1a2 just about anywhere and they will kill it easily while the russian tanks for some reason the russian tanks in this game the driver eats APFSDS shells like candy you hit him you will kill him but then there is no shrapnel that goes for the other tank members while in any other nations tank you got shrapnel even if the driver is hit which this has been noticed by many people which is why almost everyone in warthunder play's russian tanks also to mention gaijin has added the t-80BVM which is almost the latest russian tank which is like gen 3 or 4 while USA is stuck at the M1A2 which we should be getting added DU armor research package but we arent that lucky everything said we should have the m1a2 sep 2 or 3 in this game to fight the BVM in terms of shells and armor because the m1a2 sep 2 IRL has better armor like gen 2 or gen 3 DU armor which will stop killer of saint colt walker rounds the US tech tree is far behind while British tanks in-game they have the black knight challenger and the challenger 2 tes while USA still at that m1a2 and not the sep version while the m1a2 model is the m1a2 sep model by visual while it is the m1a2 version is the real model even tho the m1a2 in the game looks like the m1a2 sep version while its really only the m1a2 default armor version with gen 1 thermals while the t80bvm pretty much has gen 2 or gen 3 thermals which makes it a really good killing machine . this is all i got to say about the big fat snail loaded with that green shit,....
well most the amour is classifed for the m1a2 and it would be no fun if it was super one sided each contry has there power creep its just a time of when will it be the USAs turn again

Gotta say, I played War Thunder for a while and I would say avoid this game.
After many hours of shooting enemy tanks 5-6 times for them to simply turn around and 1 shot you. Its infuriating, I've never played a game that can make me angry until I played War Thunder.

In my personal opinion, no game that sells a single (relatively minor) item for the price of an entire AAA game is worth anyone's time...
Heres a funny fact, If you want to play boats, play World of Warships. Its much more fun than the ship mode in WT.
Its not just RP it's also SL I think SL costs for Vehicles and more annoyingly the worst thing about this game Repair costs aswell as the bad reward system getting enough SL to actually purchase the vehicle you want is just torcher I remember I quit WT twice because I just can't make any money due to high Repair costs with high tier planes and the amount of SL you get in a match win or lose its just nothing unless you have premium or purchase SL trying to get SL in matches is just torcher Like gaijin is just money hungry that's why they made the grind so unbearable

War Thunder is not a Tank game. It's an extended air campaign with the constant Airstrikes and airplane bombing and rockets. I get destroyed 90% of time by airstrikes. I am ready to quit thiis stupid game because you don't have much of a chance to have tank battles because someone will call in an airstrike asap. I hate this game. Even thoug I have 36 Million silver lions the game is total bullshit.

The reason I stopped playing and tell other people not to play is the insane sweats this game is notorious for. Before you can learn your vehivle you need to learn ALLLLLLLL the angles and spots on the map where you can be cross map one shotted from. Broke? Don't even touch the game. You'll spend months grinding to a somewhat useable tank and that's if you play EVERY DAY. Buy a premium tank? Sorry, you'll still get one shotted by a tank from the early 50's even though you have modern armor and armor protection. The game is ruled by sweaty acne rampaged depressed 29 year old anime fans.

Gets claped in the game from all sides and favorite tank is Tiger.... damm, i love stereotypes. I am a "german main" myself but more of a Bundeswehraboo than a wheraboo. And you make more RP than 1000/per match when you climb ranks. Another thing is "the grind". People should try to make a good lineup on every BR instead of try hard to unlock and play just one tank ( especialy not the damn Tiger as "main goal"). The goal should be lineups, not single tanks. If you have lineups you will have more fun and "the grind" will be something thats happends in the background. Example: Germany 6.7. Check what BR the match is. If downtier bring the big cats and crush Shermans and T34s. If uptier bring the fast HEAT-dispencers and stealthtanks and give those stupid slow enemy heavys like IS3s and T95 a hard time to catch you while totaly ignoring their armour. Lineup is everything, single fav tank is nothing.
I wouldn't call War Thunder a SIM....but if I'm comparing it to the game I left for it (WoT) it is!

if you play without to buy things that is fine.Its fun its amazing game and really doesnt matter at all.
but if you have pay lots of money for your fun and you realize that there is a random routine who decides if you make the kill or not , and then you realize that when you get a bomber most of the times a bot comes in 8.000 km altitude and shoots you then is a problem. is a big problem and the fun goes away.
so conclusion is a great game, great fun , great graphics , great payability BUT NEVER SPEND A SINGLE DOLLAR because is a scam game.

Actually there is no fun games with tanks etc. The most fun game right now in my opinion is Armored Warfare but i got to the point where i'm doing my best and hitting enemy for 1/6 of his health and he spots me and than kills me in two shots before i even reload so this game is no fun either. Basicly in AW you are more accurate than in WoT and you penetrate when you should (not like in WoT where its RNG) but sometimes you need to hit tank 10 times to destroy it but if you get spotted you will instantly get 5 shots in the face and blow up. In WT you can shoot at the enemy and penetrate him or not but it doesn't matter cause you won't destroy him anyway, he'll survive this one shot and will one hit you anyway no matter what tank you have, but if your tank is destroyed you can use other tanks in the same batlle so have fun with being one hit killed. In WoT you are inacurrate cause rng and even if you won't miss you probably won't penetrate either cause rng, sometimes even 100% chance to penetrate isn't enough, but sometimes you will hit from 400m away in one pixel of a tank and you have 0% chance to pen it but you do anyway so this rng is basicly a trash but they have many tanks and want you ti give them all your money...
So right now there is no fun games with tanks. Every game is in some way fucked 😒
In WOT is that fictional tanks that survive multiple hits and giving to pro league and professional clans that a lot of players start dropping off. WOT don't reward players but chasing them away and in WT you get reward but grinding and forcing you buy tanks you don't want.
So I'm downloading this game now watching videos to understand it a bit and I've since gathered everyone who plays this games hates each other and the game they play

ALRIGHT ALRIGHT, you can diss WOT all you want, but as someone who played WOT before warthunder existed, for over 8000 hours WOT is the OG, like the father of Warthunder and in warthunders first like 4 years WOT still reigned supreme, nowadays yeah warthunder is better but it was built on an already strong empire. it took an already good genre and built upon it, but WOT made itself from scratch.

7000 hours here. Game is just a mess no matter how good you are. New players have no idea how to play, and buy their way to play against people like me who just end up dropping nukes on them. Maps are terrible and cater to 1 kill and die playstyles.
same I would say we need a match making system based off of level but its kinda easy to get to lvl 100 and i think setting it up that way would make finding a match hell
I left this game after 2 years of playing. Its P2W, but not obviously visible. I played 1,5 year without premium, and 6 months with premium, and its a day and night in terms of economy in game. But you have boosters you may say.... Yes, you can activate them ONLY BEFORE MATCHMAKING, so things like booster curse are not myth like lot of people says, but pure luck where game drops you, and in most of time after booster, it drops you to full uptier, with premium players at 100+ level, and on some potato server, where your "supa gun" (lets say 122mm soviet on IS-2) cant penetrate side armor of Panzer IV ausf G, then in next round as you play Panzer IV ausf G .50 cal kills you from the front. Not to mention BS AA guns, which kill whole crew of any MBT with one HE round from most absurd places. This game could be good, but its economy, servers are potato. Playing with randoms, without proper communication, marking some usefull information as spam on chat - that not qualify to be multiplayer at all.
There are more tank games out there which are worth every penny and you know what your paying for.

I see battles were op team destroy my entire team in few seconds because they spotted them in map like maginot line and shoot at them from 100m from spawn. WT offer you 17500 xp in exchange for 1000 golden eagles enough to upgrade you crew.
