    H pipe sounds way better on v8s compared to a x pipe

  • @MustangGuru
    @MustangGuru Před 2 lety +4

    In the old days we didn’t use H or X pipe. Just individual separate from each side. Dual exhaust.

      My 390 FE motor had basically two single exhausts and sounded amazing

  • @MustangGuru
    @MustangGuru Před 2 lety +1

    @8power. True duels sound the deepest and works real well. Your stock or aftermarket headers already have scavaging effect on the exhaust. So really no need for X or H pipes.

  • @axelamps1279

    What if both pipes run straight to the back and don't have a join in the middle?

  • @troyvan6952

    I'm under the impression that you use an H pipe for small blocks an X pipes for big blocks.... I've got an H on my S550 and am happy with it.

    • @8power857
      @8power857 Před 2 lety +1

      No , you use and size either X, H or single or seperate dual to target where you want peak TQ or HP and to get the sound you like best.

  • @DerekCecchi
    @DerekCecchi Před 3 lety +12

    You should let people know that these are mustangs without active exhaust. These resonator deletes on active exhaust mustangs sound way better than non-active exhaust equivalent.

    • @DerekCecchi
      @DerekCecchi Před 2 lety +4

      @@zed8083 resonator deletes sound great on the active exhaust mustangs. Theyre not all spitty and overly raspy like they have cheap mufflers. Non active exhaust mustangs sound terrible with a resonator delete. They NEED their muffler upgraded to sound good.
      It's important to know the difference when watching these videos otherwise people get the wrong idea on what it'll sound like. Mine has active exhaust and a steeda x pipe and it sounds excellent.

    • @AStanton1966
      @AStanton1966 Před 2 lety +1

      I hope so. I've got a 2020 Mustang GT with active exhaust. Every time I start, the default goes back to normal exhaust. I'm hoping that the Steeda Xpipe I'm about to have installed, will give me better sound in the normal mode. This way, I can keep the digital speedometer up on the dash without always switching to the exhaust modes.

    • @DerekCecchi
      @DerekCecchi Před 2 lety +2

      @@AStanton1966 I still switch to track mode every time. I use quiet start in the morning on cold start otherwise I'm always in track exhaust mode. I doubt normal is ever gonna sound as good as track no matter what you do.

    What would go best on the Mach 1 behind you? As I’ve got one coming to Australia and want it to stand out in the crowd. So, what header, pipe setup would best complement it?👍

      Seperate dual for the more muscle car tone and deep note.

      Nothing really. Price. And gauge of the pipe.

    H pipe is more muscular sounding and the x pipe gives that higher pitch. Which one better gives better flow? HP or torque ?

    Would it be more ideal for me to use an H pipe if my car is already super raspy with my longtube headers and x pipe? I want less rasp and I wonder if going with H pipe my exhaust will sound deeper and better
