crazy how good it sounds stock and how much more amazing it sounds with a simple cheap x pipe upgrade. Just ordered mine cant wait
Awesome! Sounds good!
Amazing difference mate. Love your channel and the work you do.
Nice. Just installed a Roush axle back exhaust on my 2019 GT. What a difference from stock. Now I want to install an H-pipe from Roush. Upgrade bug has got a hold of me, and I Love it.
Very nice!
Did you get the H pipe ? Was is it??
I used the Roush H pipe instead, comboed with the Outlaw axle back. 10/10 loudness when i get on it, and tones down the sharp tone a bit.
Wow that sounds waaaaaaaaay better!
perfect setup to keep the price down and your neighbors happy
factory quad tip with valves, X pipe, and catless headers would probably be an amazing setup
i did that setup with high flow cats
I did this to my car, it sounds fucking insane. Videos do not do it justice, well worth the money!
woah woah woah..4k? Thank you! : D
Holy S...the factory exhaust sounds awesome. Wow!
stock sounds a lot better than the 15-17s they were sooo quiet
HotShotVQ35 oh my gosh yes!! I could hardly hear my car when first got it
@@MrDatboichamp same bro
Awesome Job & the background Music 🎶 is amazing too.!!
Sounds absolutely amazing!!! If there is a video on the new wheel choice/install, I can't find it.
Coming soon
Armen567 high level,
The back spacing and offsets are the same as the 15-17 mustang.
I wonder if this quad tip valance will work with a 15-17 premium bumper and Corsa Extreme catback.
Bill have you checked if any of the 15-17 cat backs fit the 2018?
Sounds real good
Bill do it drone since putting the x-pipe also when will the 18 hit all dealers?
Just put my Roush X pipe on my 2019 mustang gt with active exhaust....... Completely changed the sound of the car above 2.5K rpm and beyond.. Tested all exhaust modes on i-80 at 75mph and no drone at all. then I drop a gear wake the dead and pass someone if I need to :) very cheap and worth it when you hear in person how it changes your driving experience.
I have a '19 GT with active exhaust as well, but I went H pipe when I did resonator delete. It gives it a deeper muscle car tone. X pipe is too raspy for me.
I have a 19 gt with the active exhaust. I was wondering if it's still quiet enough on the quiet setting with the xpipe so it doesn't wake the neighbors at 4am.
KYDashcam it looks like no one has responded, but I did a resonator delete straight-pipe and honestly even on quiet mode, the cold start is ridiculous. But while driving, quiet mode sounds exactly the same as it did before the resonator delete.
@@minidandyjr Thanks for the response. I have an roush h-pipe arriving on friday. I like the deeper sound so im hoping the cold starts will be a deeper quieter sound on cold starts.
KYDashcam you made a good choice in my opinion. I would’ve went with the H-pipe, but the straight-pipe is a much more wild and untamed sound and being a young guy in Texas, I figured it would suit me well. The X-pipe was out of the question for me. Regardless, that resonator really cripples the sound of these cars so any of the pipe variants will wake the car up so much compared to stock. You won’t regret it
I just ordered the MRT H pipe for my 2018.
does it drone without the resonator? and I had a 16 with corsa sport but now have an 18, is it louder with this setup than the corsa sport on the 16 GT?
sounds great... and that music.. ROCK ON.. Who was playing??
Theres nothing like a good x-pipe top make a car sound like a car
What type of sawzall power rated are you using? Thank you, good video
Does it have that tin can sound in real life or is it just the how it is on video?
There is any difference between the SR Performance Cut and Clamp Resonator Delete X-Pipe and this one?
Can i put this on a 16 straight piped 5.0?
Any chance of a video with this resonator delete and the Roush mufflers like you did with the 2017 GT?
We plan on it when we have a little time.
Hey Bill, you didn't do your usual road test on this video so I'm just wondering if there is any drone with the x-pipe? I'm trying to decide between this or the MBRP muffler delete axle back with stock resonator. 🤔
I'd leave the stock mufflers and replace the big resonator.
I like the music
Do you gain any HP and torque?
Bill, does this sound louder when compared to a 2015-2017 GT with just a resonator delete? It sounds like it on the video. Also do you have the active exhaust option?
NO I did not go with active since I know I will change it. To be it sounds much better than the 15-17 did.
Bill Tumas Awesome, thanks for the quick reply Bill!
Hey Bill, is that an active or just the regular stock exhaust on your mustang?
It's non-active.
For the 2018, any HP gain from this or is it just about the noise (which is awesome btw)?
I will let you know tomorrow.
Picked up 2018 Mustang GT today. LMK on this pls. Thx!
i would like a resonator delete that no need cutting .
CJ CAN you do one with the H-pipe? I Prefer the H-pipe better.
williada williams h-pipes definitely sound better than x-pipes in my opinion. X-pipes, while louder, are more raspy, which isn’t the sound I personally like on muscle cars, but hey, to each his own.
In the process, did You also eliminate the catalytic converter?
Csirkefoga no, they did not
Appreciate this is an old vid - but do you now recommend a flash tune with this mod?
There is no need to retune the car for a resonator delete, it is mainly for sound and saves some weight.
@@cjponyparts awesome thanks - defo my first Mod to do
Hey Bill. I️ own a 2017 mustang GT with the Roush axle backs. Which X pipe will make my car louder, the Ford Racing X-Pipe or the Roush X pipe? I’m trying to go for the loudest option.
We did videos on the Roush with an X and an H pipe. They get LOUD with either one.
Roush. Trust me.
Nice!
Can this be done with the active exhaust
Yes
Bill,
This is with the active valve exhaust correct?
Silver Stang nope. It begs the question. Why get though, why get that exhaust when you can just get the active setup and have the option of switching the sound different levels when you want. It has 4 or 5 settings, with one being a custom setting. By doing this, it will always sound the same at that one level. It doesn't sound bad though
Deandre Cary I’m not getting the active exhaust because I want to do a full Corsa setup
New 2018 owners Do not be afraid of getting an exhaust! NO IT WILL NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY!
Can you still do this Mod if the car has the Active Exhaust???
Les Morrow yes you can but honestly bro fuck the exhaust valves people are going to end up swapping the exhaust so what’s the point. and it’s always better to be heard all the time not just when you flick the switch lol
billy heaton that’s why I put that in the comments because I know of a lot of people who are too scared to put an exhaust cuz they think it’ll void their warranty! And what can go wrong with an exhaust? A leak? Lol you could always get that fixed at your local muffler shop
Yes, i have the active exhaust but opted for the H pipe instead of the X pipe. I love it and would do it again.
I buy my new mustang gt 2018 on Friday and I asked the seller first if I change the muffler I would lose the warranty and I tell myself that it does not lose the warranty only if I already modify parts of the engine inside.
So first thing we did was take it to a shop and have this xpipe done on my 19GT but now I'm running into the exhaust issues. Since it's an active exhaust I keep getting messages that "exhaust mode is not available" and switches from track sound to normal sound and won't move back and keeps popping up the message.we check the #36 fuse that's good. Anything else we need to look at ? I'm lost and it's driving me insane with those poo up messages every 5min
its the wiring (more than likely on the passenger side) once the heat expands the x pipe it pushed the exhaust back a little bit and can end up burning the wires
maybe, let me know if you have resolved this issue?
The resonator has nothing to do with that. I have seen it before with the active, it is usually the motor hanging up for whatever reason. I would start there, unbolt it and see if there are any issues.
Hey Bill did it drone in the car at all??
No not at all.
Do you have to use a xpipe or h pipe. I recently went to muffler shop and he recommended just putting 2 straight pipes
I know this is a year later, but you can do whatever you want, they are all good safe alternatives to the stock exhaust.
*resonator
Are the cats still on the heads?
james yes!
Mine rattles like hell and nobody can figure out why? And advice. It was fine for 3k miles. Now it rattles like hell.
With this setup what would you compare it to as far as stock 2018 with stock resonator and axle back exhaust system.
I have x pipe roush on my gt 2017 yes it’s loud but forget going on long trips you will end up taking bottle of Tylenol for headache
Richard Gukasyan is it that bad? I just ordered a Roush Phase 2 supercharger kit and a Roush X pipe
woodyfive0 ya bro it’s loud to much drone in cabin but give a try
I got the kooks headers. Kept resonator and stock mufflers. Has that perfect sound. No drone. !!!
Everything else is stock?
Does this void the warranty?
Call your local dealership to find out.
Why cant i find a video of someone doing a TRUE dual exhaust for these cars?!
These are still considered a true dual exhaust, the crossover design of the X or H pipe helps sound and performance.
@@cjponyparts what if we wanted to know what these cars sound like without the crossover?
You would most likely have to have something custom made.
Wow...for just adding and x pipe with an already great sounding factory mufflers. Please don't do an axle back. Your car sounds perfect. But if you do is like to buy just the factory mufflers. Great channel.
Sounds like you've straight piped it
0:39 4:26
No H pipe bruh?
I always preferred the X pipe sound.
An h-pipe will not effect hp. Just the sound.
Way too raspy for me. You should change to after market mufflers too
Is the resonator really that restrictive? Come on man. Honestly I think stock sounded better. My favorite sounding catback from 15-17 models is the magnaflow street. Hopefully they fit the new cars. I have a 2018 GTPP2 on order. Its gonna be a long wait.
I am sure all the major companies will have similar offerings for the 2018. In my opinion it sounds much better with the delete, especially in person.
Bill Tumas do you still have your roush supercharged 2015? My friend who also has a 2018 on order but he got automatic wants to roush supercharge his. Do you miss the extra power?
I sold that to pay for this one. I miss the power but have plans to correct that.
Bill Tumas yea hopefully this time cutting into the block isn't required from roush lol. I actually checked out my first '18 yesterday in person. It was a black GTPP 6 speed. Loved it but your red looks better.
I am pretty sure you will have to grind off the one stand off again but we will see.
I bet H pipe would sound better
leonel cardenas to me it doesn’t have that loud exotic sound, h pipe is for the older v8 sound
I have H pipe on mine. Love the sound. I prefer the deeper muscle car rumble
Why do all you guys put crappy, raspy, weak sounding, Euro-style x-pipes on these cars? Why. It makes them sound neutered, weak, small. H-pipes add BEEF, muscle.
bro you must delete that stupid spoiler
I ordered it spoiler delete and it got missed, fix coming soon . I wouldn't hate it if it didn't have that middle support.
Bill Tumas I think looks out of place the car looks way cleaner with out IMO... are you gonna take the car on the track Bill?
I think it looks amazing with it..
These x pipe res deletes are so tinny 🤢
All of these exhaust set ups are trying to sound like my GT 350 R Lol
Why would you change the Stock exhaust? Like seriously guys... It sounds marvellous straight from the factory and you just make it Louder. Absolutely pointless and dumb... I understand changing it for the 2017' but not the 2018' ...
I did it. I wanted mine just a bit louder. I love it.
