billy was the best rock and roller we had but for his bad health he wound of been a mega star loved by everybody we call him the gentle king i miss him everyday but his music will live forever his mother and brother are wonderful people lets never forget the late great billy fury. what a talent x
What an absolutely wonderful clip back from the days when life was FUN! I'm surprised it passed the censors too. Of course nothing by today's standards, but pretty risque for those days. Amazing how Shane Fenton here looks 10 years older than he looked 10 years later in the early 70s.
@john111257 I agree 100%. It's too bad not a lot of my fellow Americans aren't as familiar with Mr. Wyncherly's (Billy Fury's) music. He was a real class act and you can really tell he had a true love of the music.

Massively underrated RIP Shane / Alvin
I'm American...and I LOVE this movie! Not all of us are closed minded.
Great stuff and fun flick ("PLay It Cool!", 1962.)
A proper old school rocker and a gent. Not many of them left. Rest in Peace.

I'm so pleased about this video. It appears to be the only one of Shane and the Fentones, and its great quality as well.

The days when people danced at clubs for the love of it. Not coz they are drunk and need to hold a bottle of beer for comfort as the kids do now
+GORDON BENNETT Ohh yess!
absolutely right mate
All thumbs up...!!!
Great stuff..
It's gonna take magic was the flip of "Cindy's birthday" which reached #19 in the UK in 1962
This has more fun factor than anything coming out of America at the time, and that was before the beat boom, both cheesy and superb
A very young Alvin Stardust :)
im here again..
Good!
RIP Shane Fenton aka Bernard Jewry
Shane Fenton aka Alvin Stardust, this must be the only film of him with the Fentones

The King Of Mansfield !!
shane fenton! re invented as alvin stardust in the 70s!
Is there any chance you might upload the whole movie in the near future?
you know im not sure but I think the upper class twit is Jeremy Lloyd. Later co writer of Are You Being Served and Allo Allo.
Shane Fenton changed his name to Alvin Stardust in the 70's
I thought I saw Alvin Stardust there, maybe not. Wasn't Alma Cogan in there as well?
Is that Ringo on drums? I know he played with Shane Fenton before the Beatles.
Don't sound like Ringo on the drums, sounds too lively , more like Tony meehan after he left the shadows in 1961 🤔😊
Boy- I'm surprised that the boob "patdown" got past the English censors back then. This is fun stuff.
music not drink
lol know where that one comes from!!!!!

Alvin wasn't the original Shane Fenton.
