Like 587. Great musician who died too young at 42 of a heart attack. He does look like Elvis in this video, but he sings in his own style, which is quite different than Elvis's. Both legends! Subbed!
There's always a chance there is footage out there, deep in the depths of some TV station vault. What were those broadcasters thinking when they decided to erase all the tapes of these performances? But we've got all today's trash time-capsuled for the next generation.
You're hep, you're fine I want you to be mine Oh woah, I think you're swell You're cold, as ice But oh, you're very nice Oh woah, I think you're swell Come close, hold tight Send me, tonight and every night You're slick, you're smart But somehow, you won my heart Oh woah, I think you're swell Come close, hold tight Send me, tonight and every night You're slick, you're smart But somehow, you won my heart Oh woah, I think you're swell I think you're swell I think you're swell
E' straordinario !!! la sua voce e il suo aspetto ricordano moltissimo il Grande Elvis, è un vero peccato averli perduti, riposino in pace, le loro performances rimarranno per sempre tra noi.
great clip and to point out many acts had come before Elvis who was just as good. I am sure that not everyone would copy Elvis. the real rock 'n' roll stars to me were Ritchie Valens and The Everly Brothers
No, Elvis didn't suffer and no, it doesn't matter. I'm just pointing out the fact that when you see all these early rock stars in these videos, what you see is what Elvis "told" them to do. "He was "THE" unique artist... an original in an area of imitators. -Mick Jagger
Wish I could go back to the past and be right there in his time...He is so talented and very handsome. Most of all a very genuine person that deserved so much more...His appeal was international, he was loved by both male and female...Wonderful Billy!!!
Wow, I guess back in those days, the airlines offered the right plug outlets for all the band to plug their instruments in. Damn this new "Airline Arrogance."
@chanelxela He was influenced by Elvis but I think Billy was a better singer and his big hits were better than stuff like hound dog and Teddy bear. One of the best Elvis songs is Kentucky Rain.
No dispute whatsoever. A mate of mine saw Billy on stage loads of times in the sixties..."Fantastic" performer. Many of Billy`s records/songs were great, like Elvis he had a diverse range of vocal skills. As I said, The Best of British by far...by a mile. But,when it comes to international fame, success, influence and power of personality he does not [in my opinion] compare to Elvis.
It's so obvious in this clip that Fury as well as every other singer from that era copied off Elvis. "A lot of people have accused Elvis of stealing the black man's music, when in fact almost every black solo entertainer copied his stage mannerisms from Elvis" -Jackie Wilson "If it weren't for Elvis none of us would have made it"- Buddy Holly "Before Elvis, there was nothing"-John Lennon.
great stuff. i should have bought the world of billy fury when the imports came into Canada in 1975. hes about the only guy i missed possibly a better singer thn eddie c but i think eddie had better arrangements.
like the song its a pity there is such a heavy elvis influence because there need not have been.just goes to show how popular elvis`s movies were reguardless of how bad many would say they were at the time.
Crap song, great singing, love the 'echo', Billy just oozes teenage sneer. I copied him as a lad and I'm still trying to perfect it! In his day he could have given the 'Fonz', Fonz lessons.

Can't get enough of Billy Fury fantastic never will be forgotten xxx
it is sad to think that Billy and his co star shown here, Anna Palk, never made it to the age of fifty.

Subbed!

Fantástico!!! Esqueceu de retirar o cabide...como ele diz e eu digo da música é porreira.
Wish I could go back to the past and be right there in his time...He is so talented and very handsome. Most of all a very genuine person that deserved so much more...His appeal was international, he was loved by both male and female...Wonderful Billy!!!
@chanelxela he was our best rocker..and he wrote his own rockabilly songs..elvis 4 eva too
Super! Billy Fury is a King!
Wow, I guess back in those days, the airlines offered the right plug outlets for all the band to plug their instruments in. Damn this new "Airline Arrogance."
Billy was the Best of British, by far. But,he was not The King.
lol very funny song :)
@aphagstrom no way...he was a scouser being himself..a writer ..too..no doubt elvis was IN THERE..but this guy was a true brit rocker..
This is the Rock N Roll film ''PLAY IT COOL!'' (1962 dir Michael Winner)??
What a wonderful video. Can you get this movie or video? Billy was awesome.
Hello 👋 , How are you doing?
Great song sung by a great singer.....very much like "Cryin' Waitin' Hopin'" by Buddy Holly!
Holy shit yeah!
Yes, he sounds much like Buddy to me
no comment, really no comment.....I thought he was swell, ooops.
he looks like elvis from the hair
@chanelxela He was influenced by Elvis but I think Billy was a better singer and his big hits were better than stuff like hound dog and Teddy bear. One of the best Elvis songs is Kentucky Rain.
He kinda looks like elvis and even kinda sounds like younger elvis

Never mind, I know what you meant now. But this is still the saddest thing I've ever seen!

Ha!
@TheWhitehall I THINK HE WAS ...HE WAS SUPERB LIVE...NOT LIKE HIS RECORDS...

great stuff. i should have bought the world of billy fury when the imports came into Canada in 1975. hes about the only guy i missed possibly a better singer thn eddie c but i think eddie had better arrangements.
Thats not true. This did not come out before elvis. This was many years later. This is the saddest thing I've ever seen!
like the song its a pity there is such a heavy elvis influence because there need not have been.just goes to show how popular elvis`s movies were reguardless of how bad many would say they were at the time.
They dont make them any better
Here's a nice colorized version in HD: czcams.com/video/C06klIDjSx4/video.html
It's always so awkward how the women react so passively.
@rickrude23 Vocally-speaking, better than Elvis, I think- (and for the record, that's coming from a huge Elvis fan!)
Crap song, great singing, love the 'echo', Billy just oozes teenage sneer. I copied him as a lad and I'm still trying to perfect it! In his day he could have given the 'Fonz', Fonz lessons.
