- I'm sure many of you have seen Leroy Keens beautiful cabover Marmon Motorhome and have wanted to know the story behind it. Well here is your chance to see and hear the story behind it plus get a tour and all the details. Thank you Leroy for taking the time to do this!!
Beautiful and the slickest conversion I’ve seen! This guy is extremely skilled and talented!
I’m from Garland, Texas and remember the Marmon Truck factory and seeing those beautiful trucks. The old factory buildings are still here and are now occupied by several different businesses. Thanks for sharing this video.
Makes me wish Marmons were still rolling out the doors.
This is legitimately the cooolest, best engineered custom rv I've ever seen. I absolutely love it. I've been a fan of cabover tractors since I was a little kid, watching the old peterbuilts go by/ What a fantastic build.
That is an absolutely beautiful rv❤❤
When he said he saved a lot of parts Johnny cash came to mind “one piece at a time”
This is a beauty for sure
Looks amazing. The freedom that comes with one of these is brilliant. I would love one.👍
Looks better than a lot of rigs on the road today. 😎
Wow, that rig is Beautiful. Nice job. That rig had to cost a fortune to build, but follow your dream. Love it.
thats just downright badass. every now and then you see a marmom out there .
True work of Art ! Very versatile 🖒 🇺🇸American Ingenuity!! 🇺🇸
Absolutely the best I have seen. Very impressive
Looks like the suspension could use a lift in the back. Maybe like air bags or something and that might make it steer better a little better. I would think. it looks like the front ends about to come up off the ground. Otherwise what a beautiful build. I would love to have that thing.
Those rear stacks are really just unfathomable!
Very cool. Never heard of Marmon before. Thank you for the knowledge.
Ssaaawwweetttt! Now that’s traveling in style!
Was great seeing this rig this week! Thanks for chatting with us!
Wow, That's awesome. The steam whistle on that is also super cool.
Thing is sick, interior is well though out and love the extra seats.
Nice man and awesome truck. God Speed and happy trails to you.
I would buy it in a heartbeat❤
Fascinating idea and well appointed rig
I had a friend that had a Marmon years ago,I didn't know they made a conventional, you did a beautiful job on that COE
Sweeeet! I had a 1987 Marmon conventional, they were the Rolls Royce of trucks, no doubt!
I just saw this on the highway and was curious what it was. It's so cool that it's custom-built!
She is beautiful. Keep on truckin
So great
I’m so with this guy when it comes to the stacks. Through my 20-30’s I loved hitting the jakes going through a tunnel. Now 62 still love hitting the jakes though retired. I could never have 6-8 inch stacks right behind my shoulder blasting out exhaust 12-16 hour days and an 18 speed with a big 600 cat would be plenty loud enough……..Is that all air-ride?? Looks like it floats a lot. Great rolling down the road soaking up a lot of those potholes and things.
Amazing job
Beautiful! 👍
Plus is made from a cab-over semi truck & made it into a cab-over crew cab truck.
Always did like cab overs..Nice looking rig!!!
Beautiful
Beautiful!!
Beautiful !
Just BAD-ASS!! NICE!! 😎🔥👍🏾😆
Badass! Great story
Beautiful Rig!
This is awesome to see, I've owned a few Marmon trucks when I lived in Pennsylvania, don't know if Sholl Brothers on 611 up by Perkasie is still in business but they had a fleet of green hood units pulling dump trailers with them, these were tough trucks and hated to see them stop building these.
Very cool
400 Big cam RV that’s what I’m talkin about.
I know I just got my antique tags are pretty cool for my 74 Chevy and 98 S-10
I dont know ya Leroy but I like your style
They should make more because this is what people want maybe an electric one!🤔
Saw my first Marmon at a Houston Truckstop....I started googling...find the Marmon fanpage site...picture of a guy in top corner....sure enough I look up and there he goes walking right past my truck. Haha. Like 10 years ago.
Probably only thing I would change is the transmission. 15 speed is really a 10 on the road with a deep reduction 5 for off road. My favorite is a 13 speed
Pretty cool use of a old cab over
That’s a 120 mph plus motorhome. Respect his love for Marmon which I love also. When I started driving in 1975 I had a neighbor in our apartments that had a Marmon
COE leased to George Trucking. You’ll have to study that history of George on your own.
George Trucking from Delaware?
Fatlarry Bot Not sure, just said George in big letters on door
Flatbed o/o company. Don’t remember the legal issues but their demise was ugly
I think I saw this at the Macungie PA antique truck show every year.
What a Beautiful Job Excellent Build Dang I’m in a Chair. That is built to suite me just need someone to throw my cripple ass up into the seat. Love everything about this Build Happy Motoring
As an old gear jammer that is my tipe of motorhome
I just saw this RV in Myrtle Beach
One Badass Rig
Very beautifull
Nice truck but I liked the downsize cab over Marion and the long nose Pete when we were in the Lancaster Co Ramblin Vans still have the pictures
Awesome
Wooooow
That was Awesome! Does Leroy still do this kind of work? Converting "Old" Marmon's and such?
Hes working on a cabover now
Lots of great engineering
Lots of $$$$s 👍
First class.
Gorgeous amazing job. You should build for sale
Good
Kick ass truck
Wow!
We built the interior of this and the slide at Reeds Trailer Sales under Stagecoach conversions and we were in Samantha Ohio not what was referenced here 🤦🏼♂️
Do you all still take in jobs similar to this one?
wow
Sty - ling! It is bizarre to me to hear a man talk about popping in an extra axle like he went to U-Haul for a hitch. That is industrial-grade engineering. Very impressive.
Could you use this rig as a hotshot rig having the enclosed trailer
Cost . . . inevitably in excess of $100,000 !
Looks amazing but many youtube videos have stated that RV parks do not accept RV's older than 10 years.
Not true. Only very few. Besides why would you always want to be in a park??
Lindo camión 👍👍👍
Big and fancy that’s what the real deal is
Sitting over that diesel hopefully insulated ? nice video
I've seen this at a antique tractor/truck show. Thought it looked familiar.
Amazing! Do you need a CDL to drive it?
NO it's an RV!
Whats in the trailer he was pulling?
He's an ebay seller on the side. Deals in pocket pussies. That trailer's his inventory.
As Dave Kindig would say "BITCHIN"
Okay!!!
I bet that semi sticks out like a sore thumb out on the roads, especially with cabovers being so rare here in 🇺🇸 nowadays.
Is this dude near lititz?
Do you have to scale your rig?
Do you need CDL to drive it
no cdl required?
I wanna see a motorhome made with a Kenworth C510
How much is it?
A home on wheels
Why the landing legs (stabilizers?) under the cab sleeper? No weight there. This rig deserves a T-Shirt.
Auto leveling
What are your monthly insurance bill
Cheap, it's an RV!
Are you required to have a CDL to drive that
Probably registered as recreational vehicle so no cdl required
Yep he got big moneys
I remember Dutchman's they would let you run a new Marmon for a couple days as a demo, I remember these guys borrowed one over the weekend and switched the motor out of the truck and they got caught. What bunch low lifes.
nc would not let me build house car with my kw twin screw out back. Said l haf ta have single axle. Dont know anyway around it.
How do they explain tandem axle RV coach’s? Build with a single screw followed by a separate tag axle
change domicile states
North Carolina /Yearly vehicle safety inspection. They inspect all cars for road worthiness.
You really don't need a twin screw single it out and mount an air ride tag axle. Install it after you resister it and when you go through inspection have it lifted off the ground.
@@neilpuckett359 : the ah @ dmv said it has to come from factory single axle. Its a sh state.
Why not use Volvo auto gbox easier on your knee
That would be the sensible thing to do, but since when are collectors sensible, I got the impression he took pride in saying it was a 15 speed, he must love gear jamming.
The way he keeps saying "OK" bothers me.
You’ll be first at the accident for sure
It is sad that emissions have ruined a lot of good car and truck companies. I really don't feel like We are any better off than We used to be. The Korona Virus will probably kill Us all anyway.
That doesn't have anything to do with the demise of Marmon.
@@michaelhawk6847as someone who just stumbled upon this truck. Could you explain why they went out of business.
Lol probably gets 5mpg or less with that trailer being tugged along
It’s a truck not a Prius 🙄
He's not worried about mpg.
Look at all cupcakes that just had to say something do you really think I care about mpg ? I drive a 6.7 twin turbo Cummins on a 40 minute work commute twice a day sometimes three if on call. So I understand it's not all about mpg.
If you worried bout fuel..its NOT 4 YOU..LOL
Big Deal, if ya gotta ask about the fuel mileage then ya can't afford it! My diesel motorhome only gets about 8 mpg, this is Class!
The host says ok too much
Агромный, не оправдано дорогой. В общем фуфло.
nc want let ya build a house car unless u have single axle. This state sucks.
The interior definitely needs a do over, man , that is 80’s ugly !
Maybe that’s the idea 🙄
Wow!!!
Seen the PA tag I thought I seen this at a local truck show
