That truck is way better than any new RV. Like you said it just needs a bit of a remodel. But worst case you can get a nice airstream or othe bumper pull that might be a newer nicer thing that will make the wife happy. I'm guessing you need a new air switch for the fan. Seems like that's what I had to replace on the last Cat I had. I had an '88 International with a 425 Cat back when it was the most desired motor around. You got a solid truck to fix up there, I don't see how you can go wrong. Be well! 😊
Dude has a gold mind, and that RV is a great find. Solid old school pete all mechanical, with hard wood interior. If you wanted you could rip the wood out and start from just the studs.
For me, you nailed it on the head when you said you didn't grow up much if you didn't grow up on a three-wheeler. But they were so dangerous and fun. They were outlawed

few months back there was a similar unit available near me, black cherry and chrome, though they converted it in a far easier manner. they removed the sleeper, put a travel trailer on the frame of the truck with it's back end tied into the cab, cut the hitch off the trailer. the exit from the rv living quarters was on the drivers side. powered by a series 60 detroit diesel.
Love that RV 👍🏼👍🏼. That little AC window, lol. It's actually called a smokers window. If you're a smoker and ride with that window open, like magic it draws the smoke right out of the window.
Looks like it's got a big ole canopy on the side as well. Pretty handy for setting up a bbq camp site.

That is a really cool rig. If the interior was completely redone you could flip it super easy. All the Glamis and Pismo guys in So Cal would love to have it. The shower and head combo looks like a marine system for a yacht. I've purchased a couple of those marine toilets in my time. And can you imagine the estate sale that'll eventually take place there? You'd have to hire an auctioneer to handle that inventory.

The good thing about it needing so much work is that you guys can redo it exactly how you want it to be. Hopefully it was a good enough price you got money to play with for the remodel

The "shower pooper" combination is called a "wet head" in boating and they are fairly common on boats.

Bruce You Sir are a very fortunate soul, quite the find, Very cool. I would put an Allison auto in it though, then the Ms. can drive it as well. Kool find.
That thing could be real sick, it deff looks like a great base to start with. Then u can tow the GLAMPER for amber, maybe someday turn it into a 5th wheel hauler like cleeters rig and some slides, update it, would make a sweet OTR rig for hauling the pulling toys or mud trucks. Plenty of room to put bunks in for the kids that fold up. It's got a shit ton of ceiling height.

Garden tractors ❤. Got a cub cadet 126 I tractor pulled. Had a 1250 thet we converted to a 1200 lol. My 680 which is a weird odball and a 310-8 wheel horse. They are my weakness the lady gets mad every time I stop to look at one 😂. This place is my heaven. Old Tractors trucks and trains stuff.

Hi Bruce I have worked on tons of rv,s I have fund the older units are better built but one thing they all have in common need to look at the roof check the caulking around vents air conditioner and seams around the edge what I have seen so far every good unit great base to start from have fun stay crazy G.Whyte

The engine fan could possibly be engaged by joining the lines together at the switch valve, if its the problem

Your AC vent can not be open like you had it (unless you love to eat bugs & bees) just open to about 45 degress of the side door window with the side window down about 2 inches. You are right you would never find Mr Bob or Miss Lucy in Texas. Good name for the RV ,Miss Lucy,s Travels! Love the antque engines & tractors.
