Poor parents, losing their son in their last years. Nancy must have blamed her husband for her own failures. She’s a terrible writer and a nasty person, no one else’s fault but her own.
This poor man had to dampen the seriousness of the matter. Remembering his son in a positive light. I think it was a coping mechanism for him considering but I think he's traumatised inside. Well it's obvious it had becoming co-habiting than marriage. The suspect is waving to someone in the gallery , interesting how she look oblivious to the whole thing.
Can we get like 20 More minutes of the old guy!?
The defense attorney said in her opening statement that THEY had a plan to subdivide the property and that to do that the back area where her husband had a garden needed to be cleaned up. I don’t see any evidence that he was working that issue in the months prior to is murder. That was her plan, not his plan. I think she was fed up. He wasn’t robbed, there is no indication that anyone was angry with him.

The prosecuting attorney did a masterful job with the case. He had such a thorough undemanding of the situation, the personality of Nancy ( more than once referred to her, somewhat sarcastically, as the “smartest person in the room”). He was very clear and logical as he communicated to the jury the damning evidence that implicated Nancy as a cold blooded assassin.
Only a father could say those things… God bless them.
♦️I’m sorry, is this for real? Despite the seriousness of the situation it’s hard not to laugh. Deadpan 😳… obviously what makes it so much funnier is the fact that this man I wasn’t trying to be funny. 👏🏼🤣🥰
Sometimes a murder victim is described as the most kind person one would meet, and any flaws are ignored. It makes one wonder if the heart of gold comments were exaggerated. By mention of Dan’s flaws, the positive attributes are more believable, for me. Dan’s Dan must have raised a commendable son who contributed to his community. He lived a good life, making a full life, until it was tragically and senselessly cut short. On balance, I can’t think of a kind thing to say about the Mrs. It would be understandable if Dan would come to realize, he was not stuck with his marriage.
@@judytullos9889 I don’t know anything about this case but now I’m curious. Dans Dad is adorable and I’m sure he is heartbroken, reminds me of my father after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. However, I can totally relate to the tool issue… it takes me two hours to do a five minute job because I’m always looking for my tools. 🥴🤣

This woman, Nancy, the wife, did kill her husband, Dan.
Nancy didn’t like anything Dan enjoyed, his garden, his chickens etc... on the other hand, Dan didn’t mind want Nancy did. He allowed her to vacation and go out and about. Dan, didn’t complain of anything with/about Nancy.
Nancy wanted to sell part of the backyard where his garden was, (that he loved).
Didn’t Nancy claim Dan had control of finances? Why did the Life Ins payment get paid, and the mortgage on the house wasn’t paid? Hmmm 🤔
Dan’s father gave them a van, and the dad comments “sure as long as YOU put the title in your name”.
Hmmmm🤔. Maybe the parents knew more about their financial situation.
Obviously Nancy didn’t care about anything but money. Her books weren’t really selling, her attempts at multiple jobs failed. She wanted Dan to fail along with her, she was envious of Dan, ppl loving Dan as the person he was.
Screw Nancy... she did kill him. Lock her up for the rest of her inner hatefulness life!
I think she killed him because the mortgage was behind money was short and he was not going to leave what he loved for higher pay
What does it matter how his house yard and garage were kept?
The back yard was in no condition to subdivide, the defense attorney said it needed to be cleaned up. The garage was functioning more like a barn, keeping chickens would not have been an impediment to subdivision. The wife didn’t want chickens so re-homed them asap.
We have had only four days of testimony. This has all been just background, familiarizing the jury with the defendant and victim, and how the school was organized and operated. The crucial testimony about the guns and her whereabouts is yet to come.
Do you mean „Victim’s parent testifies“. The title is a bit confusing.
Mom and dad are parents. Their grammar is incorrect, should read: "Victim's parents testify" (they testify). It's not confusing...
She knew he was shot- I hope the students /school sue her and start suit now to freeze her/his assets- give money back to his parents too-I believe he would love that - garden in his honor

Prosecition /investigators should order same parts of ghost gun that she ordered (if they havn't already) and test the gun she turned over with those parts- if for no other reason than to test it for jury - also if the manufacture of part used same cast it is possible there may be something that can match idk but would like to see
The ghost gun was not used in the crime and is not the same model as her assembled gun or the parts she bought on eBay. I think the criminologists know how to process the evidence.
@@GH-oi2jfyou didn't read my comment very well and part of the gun is interchangeable apparently so.., they have enough other evidence to convict her without it anyway thankfully

Does someone know about the gun... Have the bullets not been compared to her gun - whether they're the same or from a different weapon?
The bullets used for the murder were fired in a 9 mm Glock. The defendant has a 9 mm Glock, but it does not match the bullets and casings from the crime scene. She bought a barrel and slide for the gun on eBay, but the extra barrel and slide have not been found. Those are the parts which leave marks on the casings and bullets.

It seems so risky for her to kill her husband at work.
Killing someone anywhere is risky. If he had been killed at home it would have been even riskier. Most amateur murderers are caught. Going forward with such a scheme is risky to begin with.
She wanted extra $$ from worker's comp claim in addition to all the life insurance policy payouts. And she knew there were no cameras there and that he would be there alone vs with her at home. She probably also didn't want the crime/cleanup to jeopardize the home value because she wanted to sell it quickly.

Bless this Man… it was funny but you could tell he wasn’t even trying to be given the horrible circumstances.
Note the comment about the parking sticker in the car window of the car driven by the defendant. I wonder if it shows in the videos that the police obtained.
The presenters made a big issue of the t-shirt worn by the colleague, that it was disrespectful. Hey, this is Portland. It wouldn’t bother the jury (the only audience that counts) IMHO.
