- This monitor proved to me that I would've chosen the GLOSSY WOLED 4k monitor over the QD-OLED. Hopefully my insights are useful!

went to sleep, woke up to this vid playing
imma touch u
Went to sleep whit this video... zzzzz 😪
EVGA, Gskill, and Akko, in my recent memory, have had a very smooth RMA experience.
Another great vid!
In dim/low light, is the black level of the qd-oled equal to this monitor or does this monitor seem to go visibly darker? Thanks 🙏
Appreciate the kind words! They are near identical in dim/low light situations if the lights are behind the monitor. QD-OLED will raise black levels a tiny bit if there is light on the panel!
Appreciate the reply, I'm saving till hopefully next year Black Friday to grab a 3rd Gen OLED and a high end Nvidia GPU. Feels great considering that OLEDs in general are fixing their issues that came with 1st gen displays. How long have you been rocking an OLED? Any burn in or other issues?
A few months of light use! No burn in for me but I know people have been reporting burn in within the first few months! Pixel refresh gets rid of most of it but it will get worse with time!
MSI’s 3 year burn in warranty def seems worth it! Hope you get the graphics card and monitor you want :)
Great Video, i'll be buying the alienware aw2725df
Really want your review on samsung g8 32 oled and comparison with other monitors
@@SkilllfulL I sadly don’t have plans to review the G80SD. Unless Samsung would be willing to send one heh.
But from what I’ve seen my favorite pro is definitely the bezels. And I think one con I noticed was it has a different coating? I know some people have been loving the matte coating on it. Without seeing it personally I’m not sure if I can recommend.
Personally, I prefer the glossy but if you lean towards matte it’s definitely a great option
I own the qd oled Alienware 4k 240hz and so far its been my main monitor, i tried the new ultra wides and nothing has been able to top it. This Asus one peecks my interest so ill be buy it just to try it out. Are you keeping yours?
I am not! The OLED fringing on this monitor was personally too frustrating to deal with. But you should definitely try it to see if it is not as distracting to you!
@@AmelisTech So if you're returning this one, which one are you planning to try next?
@@Coodiie Nothing at the moment! I’ve tried most of the top OLEDS and the 321URX was the best experience so far!
I have no problem with text fringing although I work a lot with text and numbers. I don't game so I can't speak for that. One thing you didn't mention was the joystick control of the monitor menu -- easy to use and intuitive, not like other monitor menus I have seen.
@@woofinu Very true! I’ll be sure to mention it. I think it flew over my head because all the new monitors I’ve tried have this joystick btw!
The samsung, LG, MSI, and ASUS monitors i’ve tried all have this and i think it’s become standard :) much better than the old buttons on my last monitor
@@AmelisTech I have a 2-year old Dell Ultrasharp monitor and even though it has joystick control, the joystick is prone to error and often doesn't register the menu change I want. The Asus joystick is much better.
I have had this monitor for almost 2 weeks and am very happy with the OLED true black. This is my first OLED big screen (bigger than a phone), and the color contrast is amazing.
With ti take the msi 32 but in uk is £1300 and the asus just £699 almost double the price.
At those prices the Asus seems very well priced!
I wanted to get the MSI but just could not find it in stock, this one came out and was in stock on Newegg so I went for it. It's my first OLED monitor and huge upgrade over the VA panel I was using. I haven't noticed anything with the text fringing issue that everyone speaks about with these, I guess I am not sensitive to that issue. The one problem I am having and maybe it's just the game itself is Elden Ring. I have to set my monitor in windows display settings to 60 hz. When I set it to 240, the native refresh rate of the monitor, Elden Ring crashes as soon as the save file loads in. When the monitor is set to 60 it is fine. Any way to get higher refresh rate in Elden Ring without having a degree in computer science to fix it? ha ha
I think elden ring is locked to 60fps
@@littlebear4543 So every time I want to play Elden Ring I have to go in Windows display settings to set it to 60hz or my game crashes. Great .....ha ha
@@phillipvorndran6531 oh yea idk about that. That’s weird
Glad you got this monitor! The MSI stock has been absolutely tough to find. I’m lucky because my local microcenter had it in stock when i went in person even though it said out of stock online.
As for the crashes I really have no idea. That’s such an odd issue but it’s definitely not related to the monitor. You can look up tutorials on how to uncap fps in Elden Ring and it might resolve your crashes!
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I have been working on trying to figure the issue out with the locked FPSI can live with one game being locked to 60 I just wish as is I didn't have to change my settings in windows to keep the game from crashing!@@AmelisTech
if you can't use 4k monitor all the time dont get a 32 inch, 1440p will have such a low pixel per inch for a 1440p, not worth it
asus does that their costomer service sucks in India as well
im getting tired of these dim OLEDs. Miniled FTW
