Something a little different. Does anybody know the life expectancy of a Mini 2. That is how many flying Hours can I expect from my Mini 2. At the moment I have approximately 36 hours up so far. I live in Australia where the temperature could be from just above freezing to 43 C. Mostly around 10 - 35 C.

There are plenty of tutorial videos out there and many of them are really good. Yours is seriously one of them. You compiled some of the best tips in your video. For example, FPV mode is right there but our first instinct is to use follow mode almost all times. Thank you for the useful tips.

The SE doesn't have quick transfer, only the regular Mini 2

I like to hear more about why you don't like landing on the flat palm? That's how I do it and I feel it's safer because at no point are my fingers sticking up more than a half inch or so as I grasp onto the body of the drone when it settles in my hand.
Hello Khunjohn. I used to land it on the palm of my hand but had a couple of occasions where the wind tried to "blow it away". Usually the first reaction to this is to grab the drone and close your hand. I have also seen people get nervous having to fly the drone next to their face/chest (this is specially true for bigger drones like the Air 2).
By reaching out to it people will avoid having the drone next to their faces and in my case I feel that I have more control over the drone when I can just firmly hold it securely until the motors stop completely. I think that's the short answer 🙂

mini 2 se right joy stick pitching backward (toward the operator) will bring it back to me or move away from me. The reason I am asking this very important question is to determine the forward, backward movements are with respect to operator (course lock) or with respect to the front position of the drone?

They are great! I've been loving almost everything magnetic, not only freewell. The magnetic clamp that is on the OM4 (smartphone gimbal) is magnetic and this has been my favorite feature this far on a gimbal

I have had my DJI Mini for a nearly 2 years. Every day with vids like this I lear something new.
I almost lost it while flying in the hills of Jamaica at Dawn. If only I knew about the RTH Map and amending the RTH altitude that would have saved me from some heart palpitations before it returned safe and sound.
When "landing", I have gotten used to grabbing the drone with two fingers and flipping it sideways, which shuts it off. Any reason not to do this as a matter of course?

Hello Johan. I haven't used it, honestly with Occusync I doubt that anyone would need a signal booster. I've flown this drone on so many locations with different levels of (probable) interference and I've had no problems whatsoever
@@OttoJulian_ I experienced signal loss when my drone flew 1.3km with a flying height of 60 meters. It was my nightmare as a beginner. I flew the drone around a suburban housing estate and passed a tall building. That's why I think I need a signal booster.
Gotcha. As a beginner you should not be flying your drone out of a visual line of sight, that's a basic rule and it's required by law in many countries even for experienced pilots. Anyway, at 1.3 Km the drone should not be losing its signal, so I'm guessing that there were multiple sources of interference. You could try using a signal booster but even they tell you that for it to work you need a straight (with no obstacles) line of sight between the drone and the controller to be effective

I cant even activate mine, Says my email is already in use and all of DJIs responses are automated emails in Chinese that don't help at all. Ended up returning mine and never even got to fly it.

With mini 2 at what percents of battery should we go home?
auto Return to Home will start at 20%, and I think this is a good starting point to be close to your landing position. When I'm flying I try not to have the mini 2 very far away when I'm not over 50%. Hope this helps

I don't think some of these things work on the Miini 2 SE but only on the Mini 2. I wish you had mentioned the differences. I don't think the wireless file download works on the Mini 2 SE and I know it doesn't have 4k video. All these DJI models with similar names and various features is confusing to this old guy, lol.
hi Colin, yeah sorry about that, I believe it's only 2 tips that don't apply to the SE, but all the other ones do. I didn't mention them in the video because at that time the SE had not been released yet

Now you have me confused. This video was not intended for the original Mini, nor the Mini SE. it’s the Mini 2, and most tips except 2 don’t apply to the Mini 2 SE. Sorry if I’m not understanding your last comment
Once I installed DJI Fly app on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. For some reason, I reset my phone. But in my phone memory the DJI Fly app's folders were not deleted. After resetting I installed again the app and fly my DJI Mini 2. But no flight record files were not recorded in FlightRecord folder. Now what can I do or how can I delete all folders and reinstall DJI Fly app.
Interesting....I would suggest removing the app (press and hold the icon and select uninstall). Then go to the DJI website and search again for the app. You shouldn't be using the one from the Play Store (that version if you can even download it is old and not up to date)

I tried to catch mine, and was fine the first few times, and then i misjudged an attempt and one of the propellers took a small chunk out of the side of my finger. I'd recommend learning this wearing gloves!
ouch!! yeah that's actually a good tip, I should have thought about it :)
Suggestion: I find it's easier to hand-land by bringing the Mini 2 down to about eye level facing you, then reach up and grasp it around the front where the camera is. This avoids bringing your hand or fingers near the ground sensor. Then twist the drone on its side (it will resist a bit( and that cuts off the motors.
Great suggestion Werewolf! Sometimes I do it that way, but I've had a few awkward situations with the DJI Air 2. I think it's less of an issue with this smaller drone but for beginners I always suggest keeping the drone away from your face

Instead of this dji mini 2 etc...I would recommend the Yuneec mantis G if you can find one
much better and does 44 mph! Many of these dji mini 2's get knocked down by the wind that's
why there are so many broken ones for sale. Also these dji's are over priced . Yuneec mantis is amazing in the wind etc.

Finally the mini 2 drone that I just bought 2 months ago crashed. I don't know where the error is, when flying 70 meters with a height of 25 meters, suddenly the drone cannot be controlled via the remote controller. The drone flew to the right quickly and hit the wall. The gimbal is crushed and there are cracks in the body. I've tried to do the opposite movement but the RC does not give any effect. Dunno what happened. Really confusing.
That's so sad that your drone crashed. Do you have a recording of your smartphone screen? Might be interesting to figure out what happened. There is also a flight record on the DJI fly app, if you go to profile and then on your left it says "more" just below the total hours and distance flown. If you select your last flight it will show a lot of information. How many GPS satellites were locked on your drone, etc

Hi Otto...now my drone is done repairing. repair costs Rp. 900 thousand (USD 63) including service charge. It takes 5 days to repair. So....I'm back in the air!.

Does it matter? It means nothing. 13 hours of total flight time just with this drone.
1 - To start the motors, use sticks bottom-center, it's faster that holding iphone screen. then, throm the drone.. no need to put lever up.. just throw it... it will hover...
2 - To land, catch it and no need to hold the lever down.. just flip the drone on his side, it will stop by itelf.
3 - 1:43 a lot of stutter in your panning shot. It's because you shot in a different frame rate that your edit. (like 24fps and 30 fps)
4 - Cool video.

Tried to buy the mini 2 online second hand for 400 dollars but ended up getting scammed, this is now up to the police, since im studying i guess i wont be getting one very soon, but good side is i will be watching for a while longer... (':

@@OttoJulian_ Well i live in Denmark and our biggest second hand website is called DBA. To verify ur legitness u can connect ur personal ID - so that everyone knows that the user is using a true identity. knowing this i trusted the guy to wire the money first as it was a good deal, though it turned out that the guy was indeed himself ''hacked and abused'', scamming up to around 12 other buyers, thus making it impossible to point a finger at anybody since he can proof it wasnt him. hope it makes sense.
Its now up to the police to try to find the scammer by using IP-address location finders of the trade offs and locate the owner of the bank account i sent the money to. But im pretty sure these type of cases go unsolved as they are tricky, though i pray i can still get my money back somehow in the next 6-12 months or however long these cases take to solve/unsolve
