Darren, this video could not have dropped at a better time for me! I pick up a new Mini 2 this morning to replace my crash damaged 2. I thought I would refresh my memory to change the settings efficiently by watching the video you made about 8 - 9 months ago, but lo and behold you have made this little gem! I love your work and enjoy your presenting style enormously.
I had been holding out for the Autel Nano+ but my patience was waning and when a friend asked me to take some images of their Christmas light display for charity yesterday I decided to bite the bullet. I guess I shall remain a DJI fanboy now and upgrade as and when a Mini 3 is released, but there is no rush now.

Great tips and even though I've had mine since summer these are good reminders and after app/firmware updates good idea to check if your settings got reset!

Great video. Had a Mini 1 for 15 months and recently got a Mini 2 and love it. I have only flown it 4 times because of bad weather. Now put away for winter (Toronto, Canada). I will certainly use the phone video and suggested in the "Bonus" section. Always enjoy your videos.

I used my phone once to record the Drone taking off. But slowing down the footage. Looked really cool, and a nice way to start the video.

Clitheroe Castle was a surprise near the end, with Worsaw and Pendle in the background. I need to go fly on and around Worsaw. Also starting inside the castle and rising out of the top, since Cromwell so consideratey removed the roof.

Hi Darren, great content as always. I was wondering what DJI mini filters you actually think are the best value, I see you have a link to the freewells but they only go up to ND16 which doesn't seem dark enough to me, do you think that pack will cover any light conditions in the UK?
Perhaps I was thinking the 5 pack of skyreat may be next value as the has ND4 all the way to ND64 - I understand it will rarely be bright enough to need an ND64 in the UK; however, surely that's much better value including the ND32 than the freewell standard day pack.
I was also wondering if you had any experience with cheaper filters such as Sunnylife
Hi the skyreat pack that I linked also have a wider selection and just a good, I use both 😊 the cheaper ones have plastic teeth and snap easily. Metal teeth on freewell and skyreat geni.us/qAjUJ

Helpful video just got my mini 2 so handy to have a recap of what settings to use.
I’m just having issues with smooth video it looks smooth in my phone then play it back and it’s jittery not sure what I’m doing wrong
Are you playing it back straight from memory card ? Or after editing ?

Hello, thanks for video. I rewind step 5 a couple of times and still can't figure out the self photo feature, I'm using a android and don't know if the apps are different alot of the features are the same but don't see that setting for the camera that gives me access like your demonstration.

The app 1.5.1 works with all drones that use the dji fly app. Don’t get confused with firmware too

Hello DM Productions. Thanks for the video - informative. I bought a DJI Mini 2 just a month ago and still lots to learn. Clearly the DJI Mini 2 is designed, at 249 grams, with people like myself who're not qualified drone pilots. My question is this: would the addition of an ND filter take the Mini 2's weight upto or over the 250 grams weight limit??? Obviously, if it does, I would have to look at becoming a qualified drone pilot, which is something I'm not financially in a position to do.
If the nd filter weighs under 9 grams it's okay, mini2 weighs with battery 241grams
excellent video! one question I have. I have the same kit of ND Filters. and when I use them, in combination with pro settings lets say 1/120 SS, 200 iso and 16NDCPL. the MM shows -0.3 or -0.7. Is there a way to adjust the MM ? (EV) or do I have to correct it in post, assuming its much easier to correct a minus MM than a + MM ?
Yeah most of the time my MM is under or over by 0.3/0.7. That’s Normal and looks great. Drop a lut on and maybe increase or decrease exposure a little
@@DMProductions whats a lut ? and how do you increase or decrease exposure ? iso ? I dont see a setting to play with EV Comp like other cameras (Gopro for instance)
LUT = Lookup Table. Im "looking it up" :D lol. but my second question remains though. can you adjust EV on dji mini 2 ?
How do you get to the screen that lets you video the drone with your camera at the end of its flight and control the drone I missed the last part.

I have a question, is there a way to remove the information I.E. altitude, distance, battery life ect. from the screen on your phone while flying?. I am try to get audio sound on my video via screen recording on my phone but I don't want all the info showing in the captured video.
