I watched a few videos comparing the two as i am trying to decide which one to buy, in a couple of videos the acepro was giving a more orange/yellow colour to the face of persons in daylight, action 4 was spot on with the colours, although all videos say acepro is much better in low light. Did you notice too this orange/yellowish skin tone?

Being insta360 x3 user I can confirm insta360 doesn’t provide quality customer service. In fact their warranty policy itself is scam With that warranty you will only have 1 chance to replace lens damage (with this kind of exposed lens its quite evident one tend to damage it) X4/X3 categorized as action cam while the fact is you need to accessorize it a lot(protect lens) which makes it uncomfortable to use as action cam One suggestion for them is reduce its length and weight and introduce a new action cam I wouldn’t use insta360 for vlogging as it will anyways record in .lrv format so you have to spend lot of time in editing and exporting (again consumes unnecessary space) So BIG NO TO INSTA360 👎🏻 I like OP3 though for vlogging (but it also has limitations, you cant use it in bad weather) 😢

Only person I see that might be better off with this would be someone solely using it for something like youtube vlogs. Otherwise it is overpriced and very limited. I think it is a neat idea, but honestly $199 would be a better price point. A Mini 2 will do everything this will and so much more for $279 right now at Amazon. Anyone serious about a drone for this type usage should have the tiny amount of time involved in learning basic usage of a photo drone, and will unlock so much more potential.

Fan thing is unfair. You stay SILENT while recording and when turning the knob even the knob sounds SUPER LOUD which means that the mic is super sensitive.

OP3 is a winner for me, especially in night shooting and stabilization. But of course, everyone's style can lead to different choices.

that insta 360 video broke down soon as a cloud went by

Something people need to know and it almost resulted in me sending the x4 back, is the poor quality of the footage in the Insta360 desktop app. In the desktop app the footage looks incredibly horrible! When I exported it in the highest quality that footage actually looked way better! Its still not at the level of a pocket 3 or a full frame but it is decent!

Excellent comparison, both in terms of your narration and the great footage. To see those sunny scenes made me feel quite a bit better (currently enduring my first bout of COVID, so can't shoot video and not up for buying cameras!). My chief reaction is that the X4 clips did not look bad when casually viewing on 4k tv - they were not humbled by the adjacent P3 clips. As you said, carrying the two cameras in a small bag when out and about covers a good range of situations. Like a tradesman who just takes with him one good hammer and one good screwdriver!
