Hey thank you very much for this comparison. I would love to see a review from you about pocket 2 vs. the mini 3 pro on a selfie stick/ mono-/ tripod and overcoming the no audio hurdles. Thankyou for your work possibly even a DJI action 4 vs. Mini 3 pro on a selfie stick.
Hello, in the past I've used DJI Drones as you have described, but I don't recommend doing so with the Mini 3 Pro because this drone doesn't have an internal fan and the cooling is done when it's flying. So if it's not flying it will overheat in a matter of a few minutes.
Thank you for the video. I have a pocket 1 and wanted to upgrade, was looking at the GO as a replacement, lots more options along with the stabilisation but after watching this I don’t think it’s going to be the replacement I was imagining. I might consider this as a second camera instead for the beach and playing with the kids etc

I have both cameras, and I really can't say which one is better ,since I use them for different purposes. The pocket 2 is more of a take for a walk at the park, or maybe film a birthday party. It has a very good zoom on it, and a lot of accessories to help you make the best of your footage. The go3 is more a take out on your bike camera. You can also use the go3 in a swimming pool. The pocket 2 is not waterproof, and it's a bit more fragile. When I go on vacation I typically take about three different cameras with me, each one for a unique purpose. They're all lightweight and easy to carrie.

Very similar to my use case on vacation last week!
Pocket 2 worked well indoors, night time outdoors, and vlogging with wireless mic and even a handheld wired mic.
GO2 for b-roll from the end of a stick, hat brim or pendant and also in the pool.
Sony 405 camcorder handled zoom shots at the zoo and Manhattan sightseeing.
All three cameras weigh next to nothing, coexisted together inside a small shoulder satchel, and cost no more than about $1,000 combined. I wanted for nothing!
With so many shots cut together, you can't tell which camera is which when you watch it all on them phone screen.
I have a gopro 10 already..would I want a DJI or insta360 next?
Yeah agree, I own a pocket one, and about to get a Go3. Feels like Go 3 is about being in the middle of the action, whereas the Pocket is about observing the action. Both look great cameras but find that the Pocket requires a bit more focus to control the gimbal. Getting the Go 3 will allow me to set and forget more.
This one comment is all I need. Hehe Gonna use it for running so Go3 is the best option. Thank you!

Thank you for this video! I have the Insta360 2 version and debated on getting the 3. Though I've also been eyeing the DJI pocket 2 for quite some time. I suppose it depends on what you use it for. Still undecided right now.
That’s right. It will mostly depend on what you are going to use them for.
Have both, each unique in their own way. Got the tricks and tips of using DP2 from your channel. So far so good mate! But it is so fragile and not meant for any type of action situation. One drop and you are a goner. Changed it on warranty once, and now that warranty has run out i am extra careful but the G03, can be slammed around a bit can be used in rain, underwater etc. Both complement each other for a vlog!

Great comparison. I bought the DJI pocket 2 when I saw your first video about it. It is a perfect camera, small, light, and ideal that it comes with a gimbal, and you don't have to use a gimbal with a smartphone.
Now I also bought the insta360 go 3 because the camera is a bit smaller and you had many other recording options and angles. I would be happy if you could make a video, e.g. how to make cinematic footage.

Thank you! I haven't tried that but I get the feeling that because of the small size and weight, the OM5 or 6 will not be able to balance it.

@@OttoJulian_ same here.... it would be nice to understand the differences and best uses for both of them... for example: I'd like a compact and easy to use "travel video camera" and, by logic, I should opt for the Pocket 3, but it is a bit "cumbersome" and one always needs to use it at least with one hand fully "devoted" to its operation.... while the Go3 can be "clipped" or attached to clothes, caps, or also to one's torso with the "magic medallion"...
So I guess the Go3 could be also used to record videos of the travels even when walking (maybe while holding smartphone to use maps or translators or paying/using ticket machines or something else... or when visiting crowded areas where one cannot stop for too much time to pull out the camera, manage it and start recording..)

@@korinlovesmusic Yep I got a Pocket 3 CC in December. the new firmware sorta gives a locked mode, but I wish it was a little more like a go pro as far as pure point and shoot. I still miss some shots here and there even in locked mode because the camera decides to point in some oddball location. Image quality is fantastic and it does very well at night.

I have the pocket 2, I don't like it so much, the screen is so small although you can connect it to phone but still very inconvenient for me to do that. you can't even shoot a portrait video so it's really a -1 and another minus for me is in low light, my God! It is so bad. The rest of your review is true.
Well, everything that you mentioned are true life stories. I got used to the screen when I was using the P2 more often but now after some time of not using it I was not enjoying the whole experience

Regarding fake drone shots, you can do those with just about any camera if you have an extension rod, the low weight of these cameras is perfect for that purpose. Thanks for your support!
What happens if you recording and get out of the range of the pod...will it stop recording or will it just stop transfering?
It will keep recording. The memory is inside the camera module and the action pod acts as a monitor

Had terrible issues with my Pocket 2 in Japan filming on windy days. It ruined so many good scenes. :(

Hi! In my opinion it doesn't need to be the same concept to make a comparison video. These are both cameras after all and I know that people get confused about how to spend their hard earned money. By the way, I am not going to compare the Go 3 with the Action 2, the Go 3 wins hands down and the Action 2 is not a camera that I would recommend anymore, same goes for Fimi Palm.
I will have the Action 4 in a few days and I will need several days to test and play with it before I can make an opinion. Thanks for watching!
You need to see this more as a buying guide. Not everyone knows a lot about tech or cameras and this helps out to clear things out
I bought the GO 3, what I can say:
- Battery: if you buy the GO 3, you are going to wanna use most of the time without the ActionPod and in FreeFrame mode 1440p, and for that is only 35mins.
- Audio: Is not good, the Pocket 2 audio is better, also don't expect to record band/concert or any high sound pressure stuff with the GO 3, with the Pocket 2 that's fine, and the GO 3 doesn't support external mics.
- Size: While the camera it's really small, you are gonna have the actionpod in a pocket or in your bag all the time, to charge the battery after you record.
Even after all of this cons, the smallest size/weight, is a very good pro, and is a reason to not return the device.

About the Actionpod, it depends, Me for example, I prefer to use both things together and I only like to use the tiny camera on certain situations, which is not most of the time. I think there are more users like me that would prefer it that way for multiple reasons, but this is a personal preference...
@@OttoJulian_ Ahh yeah, I saw some videos using the device like that, but in that case a GoPro or DJI Action is gonna have much better video quality and both are waterproof.
Obviously, if you are gonna use with and without the action pod, that's fair enough, still the downside will be less video quality
I use the Go 3 for fun, casual shooting with friends and family. Nobody feels self-conscious in front of it.
I use the Pocket 2 for "filming" - more serious attempts to capture moving images, or bring static things to life.

Just order my DJI osmo pocket 3. Ihave the insta x3 ,insta go , as an addition na DJI osmo.all three has diffrent use in every situation.the x3 is waterproof,unlik tje go 3. And dji.the photos on both wasnt really good and not good for low light so i will try the osmo fir photos and for low light
nice collection. Don't forget that the Go 3 camera module is waterproof. I've used it on shallow waters with no issues

yeah both are good! The Pocket 2 has more resolution, I'd go with that if you care more about resolution than other features shown here

The DJI Pocket 3 is overdue based on previous releases - the DJI Pocket 2 was released back in 2020.
For real. I get the feeling that they had something going on but had overheating issues. They are now more cautious about that after the bad experience they had with the Action 2
Nice review, but since I hv both pocket 2 and go 3, agreed with everyonelse that those 2 for different situation n condition, go 3 is really amazing for the super compact size, pocket 2 great with it super gimbal

And it's not the time to buy a pocket 2 because the pocket 3 is definitely coming out this year.
#1 everything is expensive
#2 Recommending the Action 3 over all the other options makes me believe that you don't have it, A3 has some issues making it "not worth it"
#3 If the Pocket 3 comes out, the Pocket 2 will be cheaper and it is a worthy camera even now. The fact that a new camera is coming out doesn't mean that everyone will be able to buy it and it sure doesn't mean that it will be a good camera for sure, even from DJI (just take a look at the Action 2)

4k is overrated..... And the pocket cam is a total piece of crap. It's super old and the bagery life is horrible. The go 3 in teg video mode 2.7/30 no over heating.
yeah, no overheating at 2.7K....... and low bitrate, no horizon leveling, laggy screen view and no 60fps. Pocket 2 can be a "piece of crap" but funny enough not to have those issues. ***drops mic***
GO3 works underwater much better than the Pocket 2.
