Let me know if you want to see some type of new gameplay revolution for Nintendo Switch 2! Also, please hit the like button before you leave! :)
They should bring back Dual screen, I love that gimmick
The Dual Screens, a pencil and the VR Headset would be really nice to see from the Nintendo Switch 2, defienitily the Dual Screens! :)
Nope. Straight up power for me.
I have a feeling that there isn’t going to be a single gimmick. Kind of like how the Switch was a fusion of gimmicks, Switch 2 might be a fusion of additional gimmicks from other Nintendo systems while keeping a hybrid format with more power.
All I want is a more powerful Switch i don’t care about any gimmicks but I’d still buy it regardless because Nintendo is the only one that interests me and their philosophy aligns with my own and their games simply resonates with me by far.
Define gimmicks wasn’t the switch a evolution in play its self if evolutions in console gens didn’t exist there wouldn’t be a switch just a two buttons a joystick and a machine
I like the idea of the dock having a wireless receiver on it, so you can use your switch 2 as a second screen, with your TV as the main screen. Gives that DS/3DS/WiiU vibe while staying unique to itself.
If they could also bring back pointer controls, that would be tops. Full controller tracking allowing for some vr game implementations would be cool.
Everyone says the Wii U was the worst selling console, but they seem to forget that the Virtual Boy existed once, and it sold way worse.
Was it a mainline console? I thought it was run alongside the N64.
@@onetruebrickyeah it wasn’t a mainliner console. It was just a gimmick and the production got cancelled pretty quickly
Worst selling modern console...
Wii u flopped yet Nintendo lost only 55 Million dollar 😂😂😂
Cause Wii u software sales are insane too. And the birth of Splatoon
Word up.
Half step back to the WiiU
Dual screen functionality to port all those Wii U, DS, 3DS titles to Switch.
I’d like to see Nintendo do something with built in software capabilities. Just a brainstorm, but it’d be neat if as soon as a second player even touched a controller, the system would add them in almost instantly for local multiplayer. Just make it super fast and slick for at least first party games.
Switch 2 confirmed to have AAA games in 1080p60fps handheld mode & 2K/4K60fps in Tv mode. All this using advanced DLSS specifically build in NVN2 API for Switch 2
I like the detchable screen idea proposed in one of the patents. That would elegantly solve the touch screen issue in a way that would allow a DS/3DS setup in handheld and a Wii U setup in docked. It could also open up new gameplay possibilities with local multiplayer because then each player could get not just a Joycon, but a screen, so you could do a lot more with asymmetric multiplayer and preventing screen peeking.
one thing I could see them doing is making it to where you don't need a seperate docking port for the system
I'm just going to wait and see 🙈...
Nintendo's spelling of "Wii" (with two lower-case "i" characters) was intended to represent both two people standing side by side, and the Wii Remote and its Nunchuk.
So, I did some digging and can tell you EXACTLY how the next console will work. The new console will combine The Home console (Switch) and handheld (DS) into one device. This will open up gameplay methods that have been missing for quite some time as well as expand their offerings for NSO with the introduction of DS and 3DS titles, but that's not what we're here to talk about. Every game does not need 2 screens and Nintendo knows this which is why they have created a design in which the screen can be used in a DS format (with 2 screens showing) and a format in which the larger 8 inch screen covers the smaller second screen (With only 1 screen showing). Also because the device top screen detaches it fixes any hinge issues and it also allows you to cover the 2 screens when closed. Also it is from my understanding that rather than handing a joycon to someone you would hand them a screen and they would wirelessly communicate with the main device similar to how the Wii U communicated with the gamepad for better gaming on the go. Anyways exciting times ahead.
The 3DS was such a great console that I hope the Switch 2 can revisit. Streetpass and spot pass had me bringing my 3DS everywhere. I’d go to Comic con and I’d get so many puzzle pieces and gifts. The accelerometer gave us coins as an incentive to go outdoors and play. AR was there, but it wasn’t anything special at the time. If they could bring the social aspects back it would stand out as more than a portable gaming console.
I dreamed of the Switch 2 trying something that the XDS looked like it was gonna attempt.
Remember that.
I could be completely wrong about this. But I don’t see Nintendo doing any virtual reality stuff at all. I’ve read reviews in which virtual reality was involved with certain things and people had terrible motion sickness from it.
The touchscreen on a pro controller could be like the touchpad on ps5 controller but it would be foldable so when you open it up it would be like double the size of ps5 touchpad and would function as QoL touchscreen for inventory management, menu options, map etc.
You know i would not mind having a controller with the second screen but still having the hybrid functionality. The one thing i can homestly say I enjoyed about my wii u was access to my inventory from the touchpad in certain games, or simply the ds library on wii u. I can see that controller help enforce immersion in games like Zelda and such. Rather than pause the game the action still plays out.
Agreed
Dual screen makes sense to add on and promote a nso update with ds games. Wii u style using the handheld as a second screen with the TV, or an optional add on or I guess built in 2nd screen. Could also go portal style controller. Also had that patent with analog sticks that had vertical movement
What's the photo of in the thumbnail?
I think the next Nintendo console could very likely be a Switch that doesn't need to dock to play on the TV, thus giving you dual screen capabilities while at home.
However, there is another direction I'd like to see them go with this model. How about instead of adding screens, they subtract them? Wait. Hear me out. It's called a Virtual Retinal Display. Instead of scattering photons at a grid matrix display (typical screen) they instead pipe those photons (in the form of low-level, vision-safe lasers) through a waveguide and directly onto the retina of the player. The result will be a second screen that appears to float out in front of you. Or, better yet, it could even entail 3D elements added to your TV. The world of the game could seep out of the edges of your big display at home. On the go, you could play without needing to carry around a tablet.
I feel like VR *IS* going to be the gimmick. But it will be optional. The revolutionary part is that it will be the most easily accessible way to get into VR. If this is more of a sequel system, it's only natural they'd take all of s1s features and refine and expand them.
I do like the thumbnail clickbait design, but I still think a Surface Duo design would be more becoming. I can totally see a Switch Duo or Switch DS coming out next. Foldable screens are extremely interesting and versatile. If they partnered with Samsung a bit, I'm sure they'd end up with an amazing next generation handheld console.
If the new switch is as good as my desktop pc then I’ll definitely buy one
Just give me a powerful gamecube
I do see Nintendo exploring secondary touch screen features again, but just not on a PACKED IN a pro controller. It's too much of an expense on a console that could well cost as much as $400, with all the things it will have to achieve.
Instead, think in terms of a small, relatively low res touch screen(packed in on the new joy con grip, and on the new OPTIONAL pro controller) that helps enhance certain functionality, like maps, menus, customized touch button settings, or quick-select items. Nothing elaborate, but offering tools to developers, and quality-of-life functionality for the gamer.
Speaking of tools. I do think device camera(s) are an excellent way to open up the functionality. We may THINK there's nothing revolutionary about it, but it just takes ONE game to introduce a new fun mechanic utilizing the camera, for everyone to take notice.
Also, beingt back analog triggers with digital click!
My philosophy is to add as many features as possible. None of them have to be very expensive or groundbreaking on their own, but the idea is to inspire creativity by giving developers lots of options/tools to explore IF* they do choose.
I love nintendo gimmicks, I just wish they came with capable hardware. I loved the wii even though it looked like crap. Wiiu was less accomplished, few games truly used the gamepad and star fox was just broken. I still enjoyed using the gamepad.
the portal like controller is nice but I think having them stuck on a screen kinda limits the system... now think about a small low rez 5 inch screen that can be put into a plastic harness like attachment that you can connect your joycons on it and the main system on top.
OR they can make the original switch connect to the new switch some how and we can use the original switch as the bottom screen lol... but really... I think that would be confusing.
I love the golden eye music
Wii u integrated type tech would be amazing
I agree with the Continued hybrid trend with Stronger FPS functions and possibly PS4/Xbone level resolution minimum. It is hinted to support UE5 at least. VR should just be an optional add on at most. But a Double Switch type of design sounds perfect. But won't get hopes up of seeing that but maybe one day.
If you 💭 about it, why would Nintendo have brought whole kits and stuff to that expo just to show devs that Zelda/Link/Banjo-Kazooie (I wish) could be in higher definition? It probably was b/c the next system has a major/central ‘gimmick.’
7:13 Is Nintendo going to come up with something entirely new?
What is the new switch to was a 3T switch, maybe even somehow mirror your games to a TV, to make it 3-D on the TV don’t know if that would work so what do you think about the 3-D switch, that way Nintendo can keep the 3-D going!!!
I would be open to some glasses that use AR to project the HUD outside the tv
And for those who already wear glasses???
i would buy a oled right bow but switch 2 is around the corner
Mario tennis remake sounds cool
I was thinking the same as you. The Wii U was actually a good idea. If Nintendo really wanted to give us the dual screen experience but on home console then they should have just made the Wii U pad a bit smaller and allowed the console to connect more than one controller with their own screens...Later
VR isnt a gimmick, unless its not a dedicated setup....
I yeah the switch 2 that allow you to create anything into gold, also allows you to fly breath underwater also become a rocket ship this gameplay feature was shown also it has 7680 fps has storage of 100 petabyte and 1m hddd hd resoulution, has ai bulit in which you can talk too, the game was shown was pokemon gen 1000000, legend of zelda infinity, smash bros ultimate ultra instict, and also super mario is 56 yrs old man deal with it, yeah pretty good selection for lunch game.
The Era of the Nintendo DS and Wii belongs more to my childhood than even Wii U and 3DS, because DS was my first ever Handheld Console what I've got in 2006 when I was a little kid, and in the Same Year Nintendo Wii was my first ever played Nintendo Home Console. New Super Mario Bros DS, Mario Kart DS, bowser's Inside Story and Pokemon Heartgold/Soulsilver were my first DS games and my first Wii games were Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii, New Super Mario Bros Wii, donkey Kong Country Returns, The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess and Super Mario Galaxy 1/2. The Nintendo Switch 2 Gameplay Revolution is going to be something amazing and I really hope to see the Nintendo Switch 2 will finally have Nintendo's own VR Headset to Switch, that would be so awesome! 😍❤🔥
What was the gas gimmick?
Please have a 1080p screen this time
In addition to a clearly more powerful Switch that is on par with what the rumours are saying (A Ps4 Pro in handheld and more powerful but not quite a PS5 when docked) which has full backwards compatiblity with 60fps boosts out of the box and $10 DLSS 4k patches, but the idea suggested by some patents; where it can screen mirror and adhoc play offline/online multiplayer games off of any phone, tablet or current gen Switch, via an app and the NSO subscription; would be something I would pay a subscription fee for with me and my friends (while selling individaul NSO retro games finally).
I want Switch 2 to have VR.
I just hope they skip the Joycons and do a Nintendo Switch 2 like the Switch Lite and Steam Deck that you just put down in a dock.
8 inch screen will be perfect
I think they should be really creative and more user-friendly
I kinda have the feeling nintendo isnt going to update the joycon except for the sticks and maybe pull out the hd rumble to bring down the cost.
Hear me out cuz i think the next system will be dual screen but not how anyone thinks...
What if the wii remote had no buttons but was a small touch screen. The joycon attach to the small wiimote screen something like a standard controller
If you think about it this way nintendo can possibly sell you the new system with no joycon to bring down costs and what ever features that might get removed from the joycon can be worked into the new screen con or what ever it will be called
Better tech joycons perfect 3d gyro true mouse ssme for the pro pad maybe a pro dock for a third power level or a tv set that switch 2 docks to.. innovation in controllers or just a better than before upgrade
I’m not really looking forward to VR. But of all their games I think the best one they would have would be Metroid prime 4
I don't think they should do anything drastic cus the switch is an amazing console. They should keep the same design and aesthetic n just make it more powerful and have more features. I think it would be sweet if you could run 2 apps at once; like have Spotify playing in the background while you're playing your game, like you can do on Xbox (and PlayStation?) but other than minor things like that and more power n storage I think they should leave it alone design-wise. Maybe make better joycons tho but that's not a big deal cus I use 3rd party Nyxi Hyperion Pros cus Nintendo joycons are waay too small. But yeah; that's my 2 cents.
VR with head tracking and everything is kinda trash, but normal games with normal controls in stereoscopic 3D is pretty great.
There not gimmicks there evolutions it didn’t start after GameCube it started with the Dpad the shoulder buttons the analog stick and so on
i want to see real true actual virtual reality with the next gen nintendo hardware because i'm a fan of vr this time i don't want it to be like nintendo labo because that's not real true vr to me
I think the formula Nintendo has with the Switch is near perfect. I love how I can play my games on my TV and literally take it out of the system and keep playing on it without any interruption. I think they will play it safe this round and try to run off the success the Switch gave them and try to carry that over to the next "switch" device. In the end, you have to remember they are a business, they only want one thing: Money.
But Nintendo has been around for over 130 years, they know how to survive, they know if they make a good fun product money is going to come in, if you build a product just for the primary reason of making money, you fail and go out of business. If the product is good, people will buy it.
@@ItApproaches They also know they can't afford another WiiU (Which I actually loved).
@@JGKingCrusher They can afford another Wii U lol, they are the richest company in Japan. They could afford 50 years of Wii U failure before they are in a bad spot lol.
I like the word system more than console because of NES/SNES has system in the name.
I would love to see a VR/AR mode on this new console.
I think they will incorporate some sort of technology into the VR accessory but retail it at a price similar to the Nintendo Switch's dock, because we don't want another Virtual Boy situation do we?
If the new console still has rails like the ones you slide your joy cons onto, you could slide it onto the VR Accessory & the console would detect that it is connected to a VR headset
I would love to see them dive into AR gaming again like they did on the 3DS but the VR feature can actually make it more interesting, but including AR as well might make it too similar to the Meta Quest 3 & Apple Vision Pro. I do think a new team will be formed just for VR/AR games, & I also think that VR Updates that already released on Nintendo Labo previously would be compatible. I am crossing my fingers if VR Was to happen on Nintendo's Next Console that third parties support it aswell.
I don't know if a feature like this would happen but similar to how you can play Xbox Cloud Games on Meta Quest 3, a Virtual Screen feature could allow users to play their library regularly while wearing the headset, it may look weird in public but if this new console could handle VR Passthrough, maybe it could work.
They tried that with the virtual boy. They won’t make that mistake again
I'd prefer a home console with more expensive VR headset. You can get a Quest if you want cheap crap.
@@bluefox9erdo you know how old virtual boy is? The tech isn't the same 30 years later....
Ew no
@@Alien_isolationist I’m not a Zuckerberg supporter so good luck with that, probably gonna buy one 2nd hand so Zuckerberg doesn’t make profit
Imo, with the Switch Nintendo combined both the home console and the handheld consoles so there is nothing else besides this hybrid model they can do. Either it's a home consoles or handheld console so it's hard to imagine what else they can do at this point. Even the competition are copying and pasting Nintendo's formula. so knowing this i think the only thing they can do is add some gimmick to the next Switch. Like maybe 3D or adding another screen which are nothing new. The Switch itself is a product from its past products....It's hard to imagine what else they can do tbh but it's not on me to worry about this so let them surprise me....Later
ok, i will tell you EXACTLY, what nintendo are doing, they are doing a hybrid DS/wii U/switch style console with touch screen and on release day, they are brigning it out with a zelda phanton hourglass/spirit tracks, duo game and it is backwards capability, it is so backwards that even the DS games will also fit into it xD damn i wish :D lol
You’re not getting joycons AND a pack in Pro Controller. No way.
New systems "Joycon's" could be built into the system so no more swapping them in and out.
The new gimmick is modern pick up sticks!
just give at least 60fps
we dont need another gameplay revolution. we need higher graphical fidelity and 60fps as a baseline. beefier CPU and GPU, or otherwise a cutting edge (or damn near) SOC. Nintendo has their gameplay down pat. They SUCK at render distance, enemy AI, onscreen effects, etc because they constantly use underpowered FOR THE TIME hardware.
Also better gameplay
I didn’t like the Wii. I liked it better back when it was shown off in black and called the Revolution. Such promise it held.
I always wanted them to keep the code name Revolution instead of Wii
you
New gimmick na how about more storage better online features how about a ssd no more gimmicks plz
Screw VR, I'd rather the system go in the direction of AR, like the 3DS did.
I think..... iwatta is dead... actually i know he's dead... and he was the gimmick guy.... but if it dose have a gimmick.... I hope ... its not possible I want scratch and sniff somehow... its not possible with current tech ... and maybe AR not vr.... unless it's a option I agree and maybe the small screen on the controller...like the vmu but in color ! And maybe good internet because the nes had internet even! And good hardware? And .... its a new president. ... so no gimmicks?
Same exact console with the following as minimums:
CPU- 8 core 8 thread
GPU- DLSS compatible with 2050 perfomance
RAM- 10gb (12gb preferred) DDR5 as a minimum since it's shared between CPU and GPU
Screen- 1080p LCD with 120hz and skip out on OLED to keep price lower and sell an OLED as a mid gen refresh.
Storage - 128gb nvme minimum but 256gb preferred.
Network- wifi 6
Don’t be daft, I only know want a more powerful Switch with the same amount of battery life as the Switch OLED, I don’t care about 4K or 120fps either, I’d rather have an OLED display than an LCD display even if the price is slightly higher.
You're a tech head, not a gamer. Specs don't matter to the gamers/consumers, only to devs.
Looks Like The New Nintendo Console will be the new next gen consoles competitor
LOL, the controller with the screen already exists. It's called the Switch Lite
With the Switch 2 you can attach a second screen. That’s why it will be called Switch Attach.
Too expensive
@@Dilmi.AOUKLI That second screen is from another user so you have multiplayer.
Wii U gamepad was not to big, it was comfortable to hold, and I don't even have large hands. The Switch is far worse to hold then the gamepad.
The gamepad was big as hell and had a bad display with awful battery life.
@@ZackSNetwork It was designed specifically to be held, it was comfy unless you had really tiny hands, and the Switches battery life is worse...you can plug the gamepad in and have infinite battery life, can't do that with the Switch, you plug it in and play it drains faster then it can charge.
First
GDI PLEASE no stupid-ass gimmicks, Nintendo. Nothing I have to strap on my head. Deal breaker. Love Nintendo, but just name it the Super Nintendo Switch, give it better, beefier graphics and handles that a man hand can hold without cramping up, and YOU WIN. That's it. That's all you need. Please. Just this once. No gimmicks. No stupid names like Wii. Just be cool this once. The Switch is the single smartest idea they've had since the Super Nintendo. BUILD on it. But don't change what WORKS - make it BETTER. Just like the SNES was a SUPER version of the NES. It was a superior system. Just do that. And while you're at it, please, a version that has the grey and purple scheme of the SNES would be AMAZING because, after all, best console EVER.
Switch 2 just needs to be bigger and better, no more stupid gimmicks please except maybe a tried & true back-facing camera. And don't give a dumb subname like "U", just call is Switch 2 or Super Switch. Or if you must give it a unique name, call it something like the Nintendo Slate to play off the Shiekah Slate.
Dont really see a point in a camera either. Camera would only make it more expensive without being more powerful or would have to compromise power and it would probably be sht quality anyway. You already have camera on your phone. Zero reason to have it on a console.
I honestly hated the wii and Wii U. I hate controller gimmicks. Switch is pretty decent. They need to make a console with a hard drive.
So you hate creativity and trying new things...sounds like a you problem. I like experiencing new things in life, instead of being stuck with one experience over and over. Also Switch i decent? LOLOLOL gotta be trolling, it's like holding a dan Ipad which is not comfortable at all and the joycon drift was a menace and the worst controllers Nintendo has ever done. Gamecube controller will always be their best controller. But Wii motes and Wii U Gamepad were great!
@@ItApproachesNah the gimmicks are dumb as hell and only last for one generation for a reason.
@@ZackSNetwork Everything only lasts for a while....humans only last for their own generation.
@@ItApproaches The C-Stick unfortunately holds the Gamecube controller back from being their best controller. The C-Stick sucks for modern games. The Wii U Pro Controller is the comfiest to hold. Take the Wii U mold, put the Gamecube buttons on it, put modern analog sticks on it and then you have a perfect controller.
@@eclipticsonata1313 Most of the time you didn't need the c-stick for much of anything. I will grant you that it was the only crack in the armor, making it slightly bigger would have been smart.
This June we'll be holding a Nintendo Direct on the Nintendo Switch 1 software lineup for the second half of 2024, but please note that there won't be any mention of the Nintendo Switch 1 successor during And Nintendo work 🇯🇵🤓🫡
Okay before anybody begins fkng debating on the idea that Nintendo has Fcked up releasing the Switch Console
When It WASNT FULLY FINISHED!!! Tha a bunch of whiny Bs made us Gamers look real fkng bad!! This Switch 2 is
Definitely fixed and finished and will be the fully upgraded console for the Switch Nintendo.
So don't go bashing this new Switch 2 because I'm pretty
Sure that this time around the Switch will be able to do alot more then just play physical and digital games only.
First time ever, we will be seeing these functions in it
Which weren't added to the first Switch because of it not
Being fully completed thanks to the whiny bs.
Now we will get Fully MP4 and Internet much more needed to browse on the go.
