Compared to the best smartphone cameras of today, and even compared to the best smartphone cameras of past years, all the way back to 2015, focus on the N8 is very slow, you can't tap to focus, you can't manually adjust focus, you can't manually adjust shutter speed, there is no HDR, Dynamic Range is lacking, low light performance is terrible, focus distance is average, and so on and on... I understand the love and nostalgia for the N8, and it is still capable of producing some very nice images, but to claim ten years of advances in smartphone camera technology are beaten by the N8 is just beyond ludicrous.
I really like the fact that u appreciate and respect older phones and their hardware, keep making these these kind of comparisons where you toss in N8 and lumia 1020 with the bests of the time, much respect brother good luck, reach a million subs soon(btw I still rock a Nokia N8 as my secondary phone and I will have it as long as it lasts ❤️)

[EDIT] There's another number I forgot to add: 1.75 micron pixel. Yes, it has more native pixel count than those Quad Bayer cameras when pixel binned using interpolation technique.

The N8 can still hang with the best of them even today. It was the phone I used on my college thesis. The photo quality was just so ahead of it's time.

N8 was my first touch screen phone❤❤...I got it from my elder brother... I was so excited for this phone bcz it was going to be my first camera as well as touch screen phone.... The camera was superb.... The least I can say is the best camera phone in my life....If flash was used when capturing photo the skin tones were absolutely amazing...completely natural and full of details unlike todays android phones which only makes your screen smooth and fair not but does not capture that much detail and pixelate with little zoom. .. Sadly it is not working now...

It stopped working 3 years ago and I had to revert to my Nokia 6310i, my favorite phone as the primary phone--a phone I had been using for 20 years since 2002, when I first got it--it is used 24/7/365--never shut it off, except for occasional reboot, for 20 years, and still using the original batteries--it still has the clearest sound. I had three Nokia 6310i's--the one I used, my late mother's--which got dropped out of a 4 story window--got damaged, and a third one which is new and used as a charging station for spare battery. But the carrier informed me my Nokia 6310i would no longer work on their network so I have to replace. Wondering if my N8 would work once repaired. Nokia is/was the best!

I had N8 and let me tell you it was a bomb. I still vividly remember a time when i went to a concert, the conundrum being in a concert is you can't see the singer if you're quite far and that was the time i use my n8 camera it was a 3rd party app but it zoom 16× and still i could see the person. It was so shocking and reminiscing.
I bought this phone back in 2011 while I was in UAE it was the best phone of that time. I used to watch my pictures and videos on my tv screen with the help of that hdmi port. And it’s camera results results were unbelievable

Nokia N8 was giving xenon flash , Dolby surround headphone sound and AMOLED display 10 years ago , its red eye was so powerful even you can see object in a dark to capture with its powerful xenon flash , Nokia phones today not even closer to that . On my third set of Nokian tires. Check them out. Reasonable price, great premium tire. I don't think many people know that they made car tires also.
