There’s a concept of need and want, and people unknowingly buy phones like the iPhone 15 Pro Max or S23 Ultra which they don’t need but want. This is the video that describes how the trap of these expensive smartphones works, and why you should stay away from phones like these.

Our society needs more influencers like you! Keep up the great work Sir.
@thezoldics7648 i mean if a phone is priced equal to your 1 month salary then there is no problem buying it even in 3 month no cost emi, but you have to keep it for years even after peer pressure, I am running my phone for past 4 years Note 10 suddenly the display got damaged due to pressure. Hence brought a S23 Ultra
Bro literally said “WAKE UP TO REALITY”
Jo kaam ek 20000 ke smartphone se ho sakta hai uspar 120000 kyun spend karne so true bhai need more influencers like you
I just bought it due to the processor of the mobile
Thank you for saying this. Last month I bought an S23 for 72k (I can afford it) after my friends have been pressuring me for a long time. I've been using my 15k Realme phone for 3 and a half years. And let me tell you, flagship phones are not as big as a jump in experience as you think. I mean it looks really good, takes good photos but within 2 days, you lose all the shock behind it. The worst part is that now my brain has adjusted to a 120Hz AMOLED display and now my laptop which I work on looks bad. Now I feel like I should upgrade my laptop as well. This is lifestyle inflation. Now I can never go back. If I lose my phone, I cannot buy a new phone less than this price range. Moral of the story: don't spend money on stuff. The happiness goes away in 24 hours. Instead, spend money on experiences (like travel). The memories stay with you a lifetime. When you look back in life, you're not going to remember the things you bought but the fun experiences you had.
well said

Ur friends were pressurizng you?? And u got pressurized?
Don't put blame on ur friends... Koi bhi kisi insaan se paise kharch nhi krwa skta jab tak wo khud paise kharch krna nhi chahta..

Meanwhile people are purchasing iPhones on 2-3k EMIs with just a 10k salary.😂😂
No way, seriously 😂😂😂
Correct 😂😂
iPhones are no longer a luxury product to flaunt, almost everyone has an iPhone, mostly Genzers and Millennials, which is a big chunk. Buying a 50-70K phone has become the new normal for many reckless spenders.
Indian market is evolving, but at what cost. 🤔🤔
For a short time my current phone was cheaper than their EMI(okay a little bit more expensive)
exactly😂
I wanted to buy a iPhone 13 pro Max. I saved around ₹1.6L and went to a mobile store.
Exactly the same questions came into mind and took Vivo v23 which I got @ ₹25k and with remaining amount I bought gold 😅.

One of my cousin wanted my recommendations to buy a smartphone during the sale. She wished to go for iPhone 13 or 14 primarily because of the cameras (for point and shoot majorly). Finally she went and bought the phone which I suggested, the S21FE (with SD888 chipset) for 30k. And she's very happy with it's overall experience and cameras. And it saved her a lot of money too.

This is 100% true and this is what I've been explaining to my friends whenever they are about to make rash decisions. I will never understand why a piece of metal should cost ₹100,000+? And the craze behind it is just insane.
In my opinion, one should change their phone only when their current phone is really asking for a change, i.e., there is a significant drop in performance, battery life has gone down significantly and the phone is now obsolete. I have been using my Pixel 4a for 3 years now and I think it will remain good for at least one more year. People should plan that the yearly cost of a phone should not exceed 10-12k per year, which means, if you're planning a 60k phone, use it for at least 5 years.
I canot agree more I have used my iPhone XR for 5 years now it costed me 42k May be another year then I will change. The joke is few years back 40 k we used to get flagship now we get midranger 😂😂

Strongly agree with your take on buying behavior, I purchased OnePlus 5, the flagship offering from OnePlus back in 2017 as a long-term investment for reliability and long-term performance (Apple and other tier one brand counterparts were also available).
Kudos to Oneplus' build and quality that time, it held its ground. 6 years down the line, stepped on to 7th year it's still working and still my primary device and suffices each and every day to day use. Hope it reiterates the point of this video. Thank you!

Bro I always felt that your phone costs should not exceed your 1 month salary. Your thoughts are exactly what I feel from 3-4 years now. Currently i can purchase a samsung ultra and an iPhone but your points are exactly on my mind. My current phone is Nord 2 for 29k bought in aug 21 and it still works like wonder. I have maintained all my phone's till now in good condition so it still looks new. A tip for all- you can change your backcover every year if u feel the urge to change your phone 😊 u ll just spend 200rs max rather than changing ur phone and selling it to a less price...use a phone for minimum 3years..I will use this for 4 years minimum. The only thing i have run out of is memory..current is 128gb..earlier were 64gb and 32gb ones...so go for 256 gb one but then use it for minimum 4years..I have friends who are using their iPhone from 5-6 years now so don't fall in software upgrade 3-4years scam n all..please note this advice for our middle class girls n boys 😊 u can buy other things for home with the money u saved or mutual funds..tc
I would say half month max. If people change every 2 years 1/24th of what you earn is a big amount for the phone I think.
But if u want to buy good phone u need to have min 18k+ in 2023 but 2021, phones are low cost best efficient
@@manojreddy9872 Only options under 20 k are redmi, oppo,Vivo and Motorola. Those do work good no disrespect. Phone brand has become a status symbol now a days. Before this 29k one plus phone I was using 16k Motorola g5plus...it worked well for 4 years then I sold it for 5k as well.
A phone should cost somewhere around what you can buy tomorrow if it gets lost. I know people who lost their iphone pro models than weep for a month.
It is correct that midrange or even few budget phones are good enough to do our daily routine work.

Just fantastic and so well explained.I am a 65 years old man and understand you are doing a great job by saving people specially the young and middle age persons from falling into a trap and then suffering. You had posted a similar video maybe a year or two back I agreed with your opinion then and I agree even today. Thanks and God bless you
You earned my subscription today buddy ❤ I've been buying flagships for over 5 years but finally switched to a one plus Nord 3 this year instead of going for the 11 pro or waiting for the 12 pro and I was amazed. Yaar iska camera aur flagship ka camera exactly same hai! Farak sirf itna hai ki ispar Hasselblad wali branding nahi hai and few other differences which don't bother me at all. Great content buddy, cheers 🍻
Kitne me liya Bhai??? Me kafi salon se dhundra hu mere according koi mob ni milra😢
Koi phone perfect nhi hota bhai apni jaroorat dekho uss hisab se decide karo@@hameedibnabdulvahab
Love it 🤩
I totally agree.
Always go for midrange phone 15-25 k we can get awesome phones use it for atleast 3 years and sell it , price depreciation will be very less compared to high-end phones.
2020 i purchased realme X2 for 19 k just last week I sold it for 9k ,,invested 14k last week for my Nord ce3 .
Which can last 3-4 years easily

Mad respect for you bro, I'm still rocking Realme 7 while my friends who don't even make 1/4 of what I make are buying new iPhone pros every year and they don't even have hardware to process pro res. While I do have 4080 on PC because I've a editing agency.
Great.👌
Bro...strange but true. I APPRECIATE yr thought.
Well done explanation Mr.Techpedia.💯🙏
People don't know that Needs and wants are the 2 different things.
Most of the time people buy things to only show off and they have to face low money in the month end.

I like this video, it is too good , informative and every thing u told is 100 percent right and you represent it really well and with some sarcasm .
Really honest Tech reviewer. Loved the fact that you included the comparison between application for everyday average users and your own specific usage from a CZcamsr's perspective
