How do you win against someone who is extremely manipulative? I’m worried he’s going to manipulate the judge into believing him just like he does with everyone else in his life. I’m so scared.
If i win my retraining order case. Can i get my place back if she put a retraining order on me but we shared the same leases
Im nervous cause i have court next week and have cptsd. Im the respondent. Im scared cause i know im innocent i dont want to stuff up. Mild freaking out 😅
I def recommend if you have time, going Over potential questions with your lawyer.
Having ptsd (and autism lol) I have to have "scripts" that I practice so I can smoothly describe what I need to, it might help to have those
What’s your availability for 6/17?
Is there any way to get my side of the situation known without all the complicated legal wording. It seems like they are talking in Chinese.
Yes. Your side should be presented in plain English, not legalese. Typically, for these hearings, the judge is looking for a clear account of your side of the story. Your testimony and evidence needs to be relevant to the issue at hand (in CA, for domestic violence restraining orders, relevant evidence means evidence that helps the judge decide whether a restraining order is necessary to prevent future domestic violence).
Make sure to show zero negativity in your attitude, don't give any sort of emotional reactions, an unwillingness to co-parent and pettiness.
Document, Document, and Document everything that happens...

So I went on the curtilage.
She saw me on the Blink camera and filed a restraining order.
Hmm and there was no RO in place at the time? These cases are so fact-specific but that doesn’t sound like enough to get an RO unless you were up close peering in a window etc.
But assuming that she has more allegations, remember that a DVRO can be granted in California even without physical violence. Be prepared to explain or refuse any of her allegations.
If she cries (I saw an earlier comment) do not react, even if they are obviously crocodile tears. Just calmly explain your side.
Yesterday, she sent me pictures of our children.
My heart is broken.
We were married for 25 years

Also, I noticed in your other videos that the hearings sound like they are usually kind of long, like 15-30 minutes.
But in my case, my testimony will be very short: I went to the house to look at the Xmas lights and someone's car was on my driveway, so I inspected it, and then left.
