    This video should have millions of views. Great story all around with supportive teammates who didn't put on the pressure, but cared about Ayres and making him comfortable. And then Ayres delivers!

    This is why hockey is the best professional sport, where an everyday joe has a chance of actually playing and contributing.

    The arena in Toronto doesn't hold 20K people. It's capacity is around 16K. Montreal, though is 21,276.

    Ifit weren't for those 2 pesky goals in 3 shots, he'd have gone his whole nhl career without being scored upon.
    Man....so close.

      Soccer isn't a real sport anyway. It's good for 13 year old girls on a school yard. Completely effeminate game.

    • @damonm3
      @damonm3 Před 4 lety +1

      Rumple Stiltskin what? It’s the biggest sport in the world. Hockey or American football don’t even make the top ten. So there’s that. And to make it sound like 13 yr old girls are the bottom of the barrel I’d probably say it’s more like ignorant fools such as yourself. I would say that hockey players are probably the most physical and injury prone people in sports but that doesn’t make other sports less amazing. The top of the top athletes are always amazing in every sport. But to say soccer is for girls is silly. I’d challenge you to go play a pick up game and see how it goes. 😂🍻

      Damon Europe has only one sport , that’s why mate. To many actors , fake injuries , no fighting in soccer . Over here Nancy , pass it to me , my turn to kick the lovely round ball.

  • @damonm3
    @damonm3 Před 4 lety +3

    I still don’t get why his 8 saves were amazing. The avs had a rando come in 1 minute into the game and had a shut out. Now that is no joke. If this guy matched that I would better understand all the attn.. still cool and kinda crazy. The only sport where something like this will ever happen. Could you imagine this guy catching balls in the major league or pinching for a soccer goalie? 😂😂😂

    •  Před 4 lety +5

      Its amazing because hes never played pro-hockey in his life. The leafs paid him $500, and won against a $40mil offense.

    • @damonm3
      @damonm3 Před 4 lety

      Julio Rowana just imagine if he went in for the leafs and faced 20-30 shots haha. It’s a good story and he didn’t look bad. A little slow to react on the first shot but wow he is still flexible... he did a great job. But I think the guy who went in for the Avs was kind of similar. He was a 3rd goalie, Plays minor league, but literally had a shut out. He played so good they started him the next game. Unreal. I just think that was more impressive to me. It’s always fun to see things like this. And what an experience for him! Couldn’t imagine

    As Leaf fan I am disgusted and embarrassed about this. Ok, there!! I already got a shot in against me so you don't have to. But I honestly can't believe that everyone is STILL going on about this like the guy is some chosen one or some great news story of the year or something like that! The guy has had his 15 min so now everyone, including the so called Media needs to get a life! Sorry, not sorry
