He's a previous owner who purely looks at football as a business, owners clearly also need to be regulated. Look at the current state of football. And the FA and the premier league are not good or strong enough to govern it.

I say bring it on! Something has to be done to stop the rich clubs getting richer and the smaller clubs can go to hell, the ESL and unscrupulous foreign ownership etc. If you don’t want this then start putting the fans first for a change! (i.e., ticket prices, kick-off times etc).

Launching a crazy, spiteful, un-winnable case against City, catching clubs like Everton, Forest, Leicester, Chelsea in an FFP/PSR net designed to stop new competition and protect United, Liverpool etc - all clubs running large debts. And they’ve crimped any future growth at Newcastle, Villa, Wolves, Palace etc where owners want to invest, but can’t.

Ideally, all football clubs will be like the ones in Germany where owner don't own most of the club & the fans own majority. I am sorry but football is the only sport in the world where you compete alongside your fans, the money & support you give is what gives meaning to the club.
No offense but Girona, Man C, PSG & many other clubs owned by billionaires/oil states would still have this success with 0 fans, that's not a football club but a franchise, a business full on. The success of such clubs are no longer football clubs, it's no longer a sport & a fair competition if it all depends on the whims of owners. It's like hitting the lotto in getting a rich owner, a smart one & a owner that prioritizes competition.

Finally the monopoly on winning will be broken. Gaining an on-field advantage by buying players you legally shouldn't have had on the field ... is cheating. Man City should have the last 10 years of trophies deleted from the record and relegated to the 3rd tier, minimum. Same has happened in other countries for clubs that have cheated. Man City need to be made an example of to stop other clubs doing the same. Hopefully the regulator will look at club ownership so clubs like Man City and Newcastle can't buy success with blood-money from oppressive regimes. If that is how you want your club to gain success? Says more about you.
