Simon : nobody wants a regulator in football... Also Simon : football agents should be regulated.. Everyone but the owners
imagine being so desperate to disagree with Jordan that you defend agents 🤢 give your head a wobble
Simon is correct. The FA could regulate agents, but they've failed to.
Two different things, donut
@@harryn1602 not defending agents. I am saying he only want regulation for agents because he doesn't like them. He's a previous owner who purely looks at football as a business, owners clearly also need to be regulated. Look at the current state of football. And the FA and the premier league are not good or strong enough to govern it.
@@samprizeman4509 100% but he said nobody in football wants a regulator like its a fact. On its current trajectory the need for more regulation in football is needed.
Ask Portsmouth, Reading & Bury fans, to name 3 clubs whose owners needed regulating well before their clubs entered multiple administrations
regulating by who? useless politicians who have destroyed the country. no thanks
Administration being what? The clubs ceasing to exist?
He won’t talk about those clubs because they’re not premier league clubs.
@@craigfarr5521 the regulator is top 5 leagues, not just premier league
3 from 92 in 30 years - that is a very low equation - and not the PL issue - that is EFL - regulating by whom? useless politicians? Get real
Does Simon Jordan think the story of Jesus Christ on the cross is from 'a TV show in the 1970s'? Lol
no such thing as "independent"....... everyone can be bought...... the only thing that can bring actual transparency into the sport, is to allow EVERY "mortal" to be able to look into these matters...... for instance, let the public see the paperwork of those City FFP charges...... anything else is not trustworthy enough
I say bring it on! Something has to be done to stop the rich clubs getting richer and the smaller clubs can go to hell, the ESL and unscrupulous foreign ownership etc. If you don’t want this then start putting the fans first for a change! (i.e., ticket prices, kick-off times etc).
fans do not own the game - and have not for a three decades. It is a private business and parasitic politicians should have no say in how private business is run. third and fourth div clubs have no right to PL monies - no right at all. Fans should have no right to a say - they do not own the clubs.
Unfortunately I feel like this regulator malarkey might just further encourage top premier league clubs to push for a super league
nobody is forcing you to buy tickets ...
@@peterrowe-prvvideo1853well said ! All this we own football nonsense is laughable ! Without these guys spending all this money our league would be nothing . You wanna own football Pay up
Since the beginning of football, wealthy investors and owners have been involved. FFP in it's current guise is nonsense. Another system to encourage MAXIMUM investment whilst staving off parasites is warranted
“,,,but right now what we got is a Revolution rather than an Evolution”,,,,”,,,if we’re not careful, these are existential threats to the value of this game” Mr. Jordan said it first! Much respect! On🔥
If the performance of other regulators us anything to go by football hasn't got a great deal to worry about. Regulators tend to go native
It pretty simple as soon as the regulator is appointed they could move the head office out of the country somewhere like ireland so they will not have to deal with the regulator .
If they want to play in the English Leagues then they will have to deal with the regulator, there's no getting away from it.
It’s not as simple as that.
No industry wants regulation.
Any industry that fights this hard against regulation is one that needs it most.
the uk government is totally incompetent they will destroy football like they have with everything else in this country
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
rubbish - fans who still think they own the game - they don't
@@peterrowe-prvvideo1853 The fans won't be the regulators.
That's not how it works.
Really the big EPL clubs built it and now everyone wants a slice
Let the EPL destroy themselves, other leagues can now gain ground and come up.
Feels like the chickens have come home to roost for english football
No, we should let owners put clubs in Administration right Jordan? 🤡
Of course Tory Simon doesn’t like it
Simon is not a Tory, there are no more Torys in England. Only Laboraties who are 10 years too late
Yep because Tory Simon has a brain
@@Ali-lc7vpCrystal Palace fans would disagree
Tell me 1 thing Governors been successful at? just lieing to me @truthseeker3503
You call him Tory Simon for disagreeing with the Tory's?
Scobby doo is less confused than you
The government has done such a good job with the NHS, the Post Office, the rail network, Brexit, etc. that they'll no doubt turn the most successful football league in the World into a clown show.
Simon absolutely spot on. This will ruin football
Talksport have ruined football in a way. They critic football teams who celebrate a win 😂
Hand over trust to the government and the game's fate is sealed for the worse.
When the Government were directly involved with football, David Evans, the Tory MP & Luton Town chairman at the time, was banning away supporters from Kenilworth Road and calling ANYONE who wasn't a Hatters fan "animals". That included little old pensioners who followed Norwich City FFS!!
I find it difficult to feel enthusiasm or positivity for that club even now some 39yrs later....
The ESL starts next season, it’s already baked in just called something else. Seedings & co-efficients for payments etc.
This will be a disaster. In the end this intrusion will result in someone like Garreth south-gate becoming the England manager:(
When someone can buy a club and get the league to go along with them and pretend the ones buying it aren't the ones buying it to allow a war criminal to own a club - that's a signal that something is massively, massively broken
what war criminal? the game is not massively broken. It is one of the best leagues in the world.
what club are you talking about ?
What war criminal ?
PL is the best league in the world and that's because it's easy to buy in. Fit and proper ownership is just a way to stop incoming investment, as they were trying to do with Newcastle.
How to spot a Chelsea hater 101. 😂😂😂
I’ve gone from listening to Gary Stevenson speak about distribution of wealth, to Simon Jordan speaking about distribution of wealth. Come on boys keep fighting. We Thankyou!
You two keep going round and round talking about financial regulation and points deductions and blah, blah, blah. The elephant in the room is player greed. They are massively overpaid. Salary could be divided by a 100 and they'd still be well-paid.
No one wants to pay taxes either😂. Football is getting a Regulator whatever Simon 🤡 Jordan says. The Premier League has royally screwed things up. Launching a crazy, spiteful, un-winnable case against City, catching clubs like Everton, Forest, Leicester, Chelsea in an FFP/PSR net designed to stop new competition and protect United, Liverpool etc - all clubs running large debts. And they’ve crimped any future growth at Newcastle, Villa, Wolves, Palace etc where owners want to invest, but can’t.
The Premier League are sure doing a great job Simon 😂
I'm sure the government will make as good a job with football as they have with the NHS, Brexit and the railways.
Time for a luxury tax. That way ambitious clubs like Newcastle can spend what they will but the levy imposed on them will go to the other clubs. It's been a success in baseball 😀⚽️
Simon Jordan simply da man
Who Regulates the Regulator it never ends
The regulator will end up be currupt bought bt Arab money
What’s the common denominator between Everton Nottingham and City none have White owners and aren’t American that’s the truth of it the yanks have been trying to take over the premiership for years. The corrupt FA have been bullied by Utd Liverpool and Arsenal for years.
Get the excuses in early huh?
No body wants VAR in football except Jim VAR white but every regulator is nearly always corrupt & everything a government does is nearly always corrupt so nothing will change
Whats arab money?
The govt already is, hence the pressure from them on the PL to accept that the Saudi state investement fund is nothing to do with the Saudi state
Give us FCA regulation too. thatll sort it
Elaborate ?
Financial Conduct. Would be a great way to clear up any player ownership and pay issues. Nice bit of grown up regulation with all the sums in play @@stanthemafia
Iav thing it's very good news for football ⚽️ instead of having points taken from football clubs football clubs can spend what they want then the next thing to happen is stop paying football players silly wages let football players get 12 pounds a hour instead of 80 thousands pounds a week iav work for 10 pounds a hour football players should not get paid all that amount
Remember Brexit? Now u guys letting Politicians involve in football? C'mon!! What is this??
The league especially Mr Masters has brought this on himself...
, , , and one wonders if a relevant CV with the name Simon Jordan will be in the appropriate inbox.
Man City certainly hope not !!!
'PL owners should be able to spend whatever they want' so in the same breath they can afford to pay more to the pyramid
no one owes the pyramid anything. Your argument is insane.
No one cares about the EFL besides the individual fans of the clubs. You rep what you sow. Why should the premier league clubs hand over money
The PGMOL and FA are corrupt, so if they regulate them then I’m for it. If a pundit is against it maybe he’s on the take from the old system?
You don't Simon, lots of fans, do! Clubs need bringing to heel. Big clubs running roughshed, and smaller clubs in lower divisions being bought by people not fit to run a market stall!
Ideally, all football clubs will be like the ones in Germany where owner don't own most of the club & the fans own majority. I am sorry but football is the only sport in the world where you compete alongside your fans, the money & support you give is what gives meaning to the club.
No offense but Girona, Man C, PSG & many other clubs owned by billionaires/oil states would still have this success with 0 fans, that's not a football club but a franchise, a business full on. The success of such clubs are no longer football clubs, it's no longer a sport & a fair competition if it all depends on the whims of owners. It's like hitting the lotto in getting a rich owner, a smart one & a owner that prioritizes competition.
Football ain't the only sport like that all club sports are like that.
Sam equates success and money - football being successful is that it is fair and entertaining and sustainable. The billions brought in have ruined it not improved it
Is Simon trying to claim that Cardiff got promoted because they wore red?
why ya blaming me for hustling Simon,
bout ta get da paper,
came up off da block with da regulator
So he finally admits the the implementation of VAR is currently damaging the game
Football pundits need regulating.
Simon is performing for his big wig football owner friends that are terrified of regulation. Why would regulation be a good thing? Why have any rules? 😂😂
EPL-buys best players from any football league then says ‘Saudi league is the problem’.
Because Spain didn't buy the best players hipcrites
Sound rationale
Elite Jordanite = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
Why should the PL distribute anything ? they are not a charity ... EPL should learn to look after itself
I DO. Cant be worse than the mystery punishments being handed out.
Lmao 🤣
If a regulator isnt going to stop man citys owners who have poor human rights records from owning them because they are good for the economy then we might as well not have a regulator
If clubs challenging city have to pay money to stoke and scunthorpe etc then they wont be able to buy players to challenge city so the elephant in the room needs sorting first and then id go along with it
Sadly a regulator is needed to stop the 3 red tops and spurs from destroy the pl
Finally the monopoly on winning will be broken. Gaining an on-field advantage by buying players you legally shouldn't have had on the field ... is cheating. Man City should have the last 10 years of trophies deleted from the record and relegated to the 3rd tier, minimum. Same has happened in other countries for clubs that have cheated. Man City need to be made an example of to stop other clubs doing the same. Hopefully the regulator will look at club ownership so clubs like Man City and Newcastle can't buy success with blood-money from oppressive regimes. If that is how you want your club to gain success? Says more about you.
Brits love the governments hands in every pocket in their lives don’t they?
Simon, I’m-a-failed-former-owner Jordan has no right to say anything on this subject. He is only interested in himself and has no interest in nonPL football. Cancel him
