Gerry takes a look at Zone Wars which features everything that you need to play right out of the box. You get to pick from the Ark Mutant and the Genlab Tribe in the Core Set, enough for two players. This can then be expanded by a separate set.

Does look like a good starter set and the buildings are a nice addition; some “starter” games miss the mark by telling new players ‘here are the minis, now go scratch build a table full of buildings’
Looks fine!
So nice to see they kept the old Mutant style and Swedish stuff is still there but updated. Your Swedish pronounciation was good.
Dux, Bormin and Farrow were among the Ark's Stalker team in the computer game Mutant Year Zero:Road to Eden. Dux and Bormin were the starter characters and you recruit Farrow not too much later. Farrow has her own intro trailer up on youtube. Moose looks an awful lot like their late-game team mate Khan.
None of the Ark Mutants shown turned up in the computer game associated with the Ark but they are in the art for the RPG's Human mutant corebook with Franton centre of the cover.
The bad guys for the computer game are one of the factions in the expansion box.
GenLab Alpha was the RPG corebook that covered Animal mutants.
I didn't know there was a video game, I'll have to look that up. I have most if not all the RPG material.
@@erictighe1683its been out for a while. You might be able to get it cheap
I have played a few games with the base set, it's very fun and easy to get into
Didn't know this was in the works, but glad to see it, as I love the Mutant Year Zero Universe. Something I'll have to pickup.
i own both copies and have been having a blast, my only complaint is wishing the gear and mutant power cards were full size
The sun-drop effect is just a primer paint equivalent. It can be removed or spray directly over, for those looking to paint their models.
Excited to see future support for this system. It has a lot of potential to provide a light-weight and quick to play system for players. The expansion (which maybe you are looking at in a future video) comes with even more terrain and 2 more warbands!
next week will be psionics and robots!
Can you paint over the sun-drop effect? Or do you have to re prime them before painting?
@@30SECONDSREMAINING they look slightly shiny, a new prime wouldn't hurt but you may just be able to go over the top, I'd test the base first and if it beads up then prime it
A bit mixed on the only named characters part, but everything else looks cool.
The setting is interesting, but I'm actually more interested in the game mechanics. Any chance of a Let's Play?
yes it's coming soon
@@Gerrcinn damn, you're good.
A pity they didn't include full RPG dice set - green dice are missing :(
you don't need them for the game
Who makes that scale gauge you used to size the mini's and bases?
