It’s funny how Harrison genuinely enjoys talking about Indiana Jones but despises talking about Han Solo and Star Wars 😭
I know, it’s weird because the characters aren’t that different, really, and I don’t think there is any more depth in one over the other. Maybe the fact that Han got such little screen time, relatively speaking, is what made him sour on the character. It’s really the only movies where he is part of an ensemble and not the star.
personal preference innit
Hes said that its because he grew up reading the serials indiana jones was based on and its something that resonates with him, scifi isn't something he identifies with.
Because he loves the character more.
Also, because Disney/KK begged him to help sell this movie knowing that they truly screwed up.
"My parents were inefficient in curtailing my impulses." What a great line!
"Why am I wearing a leather jacket in the jungle? Isn't it hot?" Harrison Ford is brilliant! Embarrassed to say I never even contemplated this question. Ford just sold the whole package of Indiana Jones so well.
ironically i rewatched some of the Indiana Jones movies before going to see Dial. and when i booted up Raiders and we get that very first scene of seeing Indy... i literally thought the same thing. 😂😂 "wtf. why wear a leather jacket in the rainforest???" lmao. i LOVE that he brought it up here.
Same question with Mad Max wearing the whole leather stuff... like dude I have a vintage 60s motorrider's leather gear and even in just autumn it's comparable to being set on fire.
'What am I gonna do with a f***ing whip' made me laugh out loud!
@@user-un5xj1wl6p Leathers provide protection in wrecks. That's why bikers wear them.
Harrison Ford taking off his pants to make Sean Connery feel more comfortable about being sweaty is the most wholesome thing I've heard today
same. like when Sean Connery was committed to it, i thought, "makes sense. do what you gotta do." but then when Harrison did it, too, i thought, "and he didnt even have to! thats so nice!!" 🥹
Dude got a chance to not have to wear pants and took it.
Thank you, Harrison Ford for all the childhood memories! 🙏 No actor could ever replace you as Indiana Jones. 🤠
LEGEND❤️
Only Tom Selleck could.
Yeah, I agree whole heartedly. Here's hoping no reboot of Indiana Jones will be done future.
I’m tired of Indy being a guy. He should be a trans lady…
Such a legend he is also 80 maybe even older
Harrsion will probably be one of the most missed actors in the industry when he passes. A true legend
same with clint eastwood
What an ageist comment!
his latest movie will make him turn in his grave
Absolutely
YOU CALL HIM DR. JONES!!
The most happy and talkative I've seen him in an interview.
Makes me appreciate Dial a bit more, honestly
Same.
same
Stop.
Nothing will make Dial less disappointing for me, but Ford still put all of his heart into it, and it would've been much worse if not for his performance.
Disney bots confirmed
Sean Connery was an amazing performer. He could even read the newspaper upside down.
😅
That's the joke, because it's in German it doesn't matter.
Now THAT'S acting!
And he has so MANY different accents for all his roles....
That's the joke because he wasn't wearing his glasses.
Really fortunate to be able to witness Ford do all 5 films as the character.
Franchise will go on for 500 more years it’s owned by Disney
He ruined the legacy with the last two films.
@marsrecords8344 nope it's over after dial
we could probably get some sort of animated series but that's it no more movies
@@marsrecordings If you actually watched Dial of Destiny, you would no that the ending is definitively the closure of Indiana Jones' character. Harrison Ford has said that no one else will play Indiana Jones.
@@NobleRaiderhere is a video game being created, super excited for it tbh. I gotta go back and watch the Young Indy show though. Wouldn’t be surprised if there were like comic books expanding on the character like they do for Star Wars.
Love every Indy film. Kingdom of The Crystal Skull reminds me of the time my father was alive and the time we spent around the movie. That makes the movie perfect to me. Always makes me feel like he's still here
That’s nice. I know what you mean about warm states of mind surrounding something. It can make it hard to stop being near or watching or doing whichever thing brings us back lol
Indiana Jones will forever be iconic and hold a special place in the heart of my childhood. Thanks for playing such an incredible character!
How I wish I could shake this man's hand. There's so many people I want to meet and ask questions the world over but the ones I respect the most, a hand shake will do because the honor is all in that moment. Thank you Mr Ford.
I agree wit you
I'd love to see the interview in full and not cut for time. I was completely engaged. Stapling the fedora (I thought it was a stunt; a gag, empty gun) but WOW! I have a hundred questions easily about the films, please let there be more to this.
It was obviously a gag with no staples. The interviewer was daft to ask such a question and harrison’s humor pointed out scars that aren’t there.
Exactly. Like he'd be daft enough to staple himself 😂
This is why no matter what anyone says about Dial of Destiny, I will always love and cherish it. Harrison Ford coming back one last time as Indy as something we should all appreciate 👒
Is it????
wish we could see more writers use ford's charisma on screen. dude just seems bored in 90% of his filmography. this interview showcases that he's still got it.
always did
I think he's trying to show more enthusiasm because he realizes that as someone who is 80, but types of roles that he is going to be offered maybe limited soon. He enjoys working, so he wants people to know he enjoyed working
"Why am I wearing a whip?"
"To whip people."
"OH. Ok.'
😅😅😅
I've loved Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford since that scene of him coming out of the shadows. ❤
So much respect and adoration for Harrison. Indiana Jones had such an enormous impact on me. I'm so glad we got to see him take on the character one last time. Please go and see the film while its still in cinemas!
Unfortunately there are so many toxic people that already rode the hate bandwagon against Dial of Destiny
@@jesseowenvillamor6348 Not liking a movie is toxic? As opposed to what you are doing?
I love Harrison Ford as an Actor, i dread the day he passes away, he will be remembered as a legendary actor i was born in 1998 but i cherish the 3 Original Indiana Jones films and Star Wars is well
Well, think about people born much earlier: he is such a big star to me!
Harrison Ford has a very huge legacy. His performance as the iconic Indiana Jones will always be his most iconic role.
We love you Harrison ❤️
The amount of times he got seriously injured on film sets and how casual he talks about it is insane to me😂
I am glad he did this show, it’s needed for the series!
What a complete legend 🙌
Looks amazing for his age. Happy memories growing up with the films.
Even though he wont see this I just want to say thank you to Mr Ford for being Indiana Jones you made such a big part of my childhood and were a big inspiration to me
Harrison will always be an important part of our lives because we grew up with it.
And that ladies and gentlemen is why he's America's favorite hero"!! Long live Indiana Jones"!!
"I said okay, and that makes it my own" - Harrison Ford. love it.
I loved the new film. He is an absolute legend.
Same, I really liked it
His doubts about the hat and the whip are interesting. Now they are an iconic part of movie history.
I like how they all quickly moved on after Shia's character explanation lol
I was born in January 22, 1969! I love Harrison Ford and all that he brought to the character of Indiana Jones! He was great in Star Wars too.. I just love Indy!
Really wish we hadn’t just gotten this edited down interview, I’d have loved to see more of this
Stapling his hat to his head was incredible dedication.
Harrison Ford. Thank You.
For bringing and sharing with us all the incredible adventures and memories of the greatest character of all, Indiana Jones.
You are a treasure.
Really Loved the final installment. Thank you Dr. Jones
Happy Birthday, Harrison. You are still my favorite. You're the best. Love You Always. ❤️ ❤️
I just saw the last
movie I LOVE HIM ❤❤❤❤❤ no other actor can replace him as Indiana Jones so Mr Ford we Thank you for all those wonderful movies which we enjoy and we will missed
@@HarrisonFord-Backup110 Your last movie still playing down here in Ecuador everybody love it .
We remember when you and yr wife visit Guayaquil and enjoy our local cusine and enjoy our Galápagos Islands. Hope you will return someday ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Harrison was my neighbor in Jamaica (West Negril) for two weeks in 2000, he was a very nice guy and always waved hello It would have been better had I approached him but I respected his privacy He’s a super nice person
Absolute legend! I will always be grateful for all the memories I have watching Indy's adventures
What a fantastic video of Harrison Ford. Top notch actor. Not many with his caliber on the big screens nowadays. 🌟👌
At least Harrison understands the concept of age in a character and the change that age comes with that character so that it does not become a nostalgia trip and let the character become a straight parody
I could listen to him talk about this for hours.
I'm so glad i didn't listen to a bunch of bitter whiny star wars fans, i saw Dial of Destiny and loved it!
👍
Me too - it's ace! Weird crybabies who hate women don't own the narrative, the proper fans do.
Such fun and a gift to get Harrison's thoughts!
I absolutely loved Ford and Connery's performance together in The Last Crusade, and just hearing that they both decided to be pantless in some shots is phenomenally hilarious!
2:43 - Cut to a completely CGI location when he says "environments" LOL
That's a physical set that they're on.
@@RubyRangerr At 2:48? It looks so fake though..
@@RubyRangerr They're standing on a physical set yes, but the background behind them is CGI.
@@thetalentofno CGI at all
Harrison Ford the Legend
I'm 77, recently re-watched all the movies in preparation for the new one....Loved It!!
I love ALL five of the Indy films!! Thank you Mr Ford!
Just saw, “Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny.” Really enjoyed the movie, Harrison was true to the character with an expected twist. My Thought is Short Round could have been included in this Movie. And it would have worked.
"What am i gonna do with an Fn whip?" 😂😂😂
🤣🤣 “what am I going to do with a **** whip?”
Harrison Ford is my favourite actor. He has great screen presence, he's charming, he is funny, great looking guy who is so likable on and off screen. I will be broken hearted when his time is up but boy, do I have so many happy memories to cherish watching the Indiana Jones movies as a child of the 80's, and teenager of the 90's. They gave me hours of escapism and pleasure, and all five of them are very close to my heart ❤
Best interview ever!!!! Bravo!!!!😊❤❤❤❤
WHAT A LEGEND
Nobody is goi g to talk about how they filmed some of the scenes pantless?? That had me rolling.
Love Harrison, such a cool dude. Thanks for the interview !
' Im not the young buck I once was. That really made me cry
I love Indiana Jones and his adventures ❤❤❤
Harrison Ford may be older now but he is still great looking! He is my favorite actor.
First of all, Rest In Peace Sean Connery. Overdue condolences to the family for your loss 😔💐🏁. Also, thanks Harrison for your many great acting roles. You are truly amazing. 😁
This character wouldn't have been the same with anyone else in the role he was born to play indiana jones
Something I can't unsee:
How often Ford points with his index finger across the entirety of his frickin' career.
The greatest movie star of all time hands down!
I first became a Harrison Ford fan by watching the Indiana Jones movies.
We Love you Harrison as Indy. There is no other
I love Harrison Ford and I enjoyed the movie immensely! 😍🤩
I’m glad someone did
he's still just so gorgeous
I was brought up on these moveis and always wanted to go to Neple with your movie and I manged to go on 2016.

Indiana Jones: The Last Paycheck Before Dying
with age comes such a strong sense of the english language. His sentences / word choices are a lot of fun
Absolute legend!
Loved all of the films! Thank you Harrison.
Greatest actor of all time
We love you sir Harrison Ford🫶🏻🫶🏻
Love HF and Indy is one of the few characters he truly loves to play.
Sadly I'm one of the "riding off into the sunset in Last Crusade" WAS the perfect ending for the character. I remember my parents buying the VHS for Raiders. We wore that and ET out on VHS.
Harrison Ford will always be a legend 🤘😎 No matter what
Legend ❤🙌
Still cracks me up whenever I watch Last Crusade, watching Sean Connery “read” the newspaper in the Zeppelin, even though its upside down…😂😂😂
He'll always be one of my top favorite actors in history. Hope he lives forever!
Smashed it with Dial of Destiny! Loved it, saw it twice
Loved him in Frantic.
Harrison Ford you are the best
Having loved Harrison Ford and Sean Connery separately, having them together as Indy and his dad was orgasmic!
I loved the new film. so underrated by the masses.
same I love it i don’t understand why it’s getting a bad wrap

I loved the last one, honestly. Wonderful experience
This was one of the best Ford content out there

Living legend, so great.
Great last film and he will be missed as THE Indiana Jones. Great film series overall too.
He visto todas las peliculas de Indiana Jones ,siempre se recordaran Fantasticas y Harrison Ford me enamorara siempre , he visto todas sus peliculas Salut querido por mas años 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😁😁😁😁😁😁
I hope I can have a voice like his when I’m older.
Not gonna lie. The new movie wasn't amazing, but I still enjoyed it cause Harrison Ford was still fun to watch.
I thought it was awesome.
It was a solid film. Just saw it last night.
Exactly
Legend. One of the greatest actors of all time.
