His dry sense of humor catches you off guard, its golden. Had some good laughs, "I didn't do it all myself". Its almost like he is jokingly addressing our misconceptions. Its a certain kind of humorous modesty. He is among the prodigies of cinema. He truly forged some classics.
I think he’s also being humble and giving credit to those directors, writers, and others that make his job possible and effective

It was the first Indy movie I saw on the big screen after seeing "Raiders" and "Temple of Doom on VHS, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.

One thing about him is he knows how to dress. Perfectly cut clothes with little details. Apparently when they do photo shoots with this guy they use his own clothes.
Honestly I think Harrison gets a bad reputation because people have this idea of what an actor should be like (all animated and expressive) and he doesn’t fit the mold. You have to remember he’s old school, pragmatic.
At the end of the day he does it for money, not the fame. It’s just a lucrative job for him. I can respect that.
I agree with m taylor, he chose roles for the story and richness of character and the challenge. Money grew because he’s good at his job! I think awards mean little also, because it matters what “he” thinks mostly. As it should be.
I only wish really important jobs like “good” educators, healthcare and safety workers, etc, had more value. And Politicians only had two terms period! Lose the losers i say. Sorry, i digress!

In one of the interviews he basically said it, when asked why did you decided to make that particular movie. His answer was short: "Money", and he was quite cheerful about it too :) Not that I can blame him for it!

Out of all of all the amazing movies Harrison Ford has done, I think my favorite is probably "Regarding Henry" followed closely by "Presumed Innocent" and "American Graffiti". Of course, the "Star Wars" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark" series are incredibly amazing too. He's had an amazing career to be involved in so many great movies.
He also was in The Conversation with Gene Hackman. Two Jack Ryan films Clear and Present Danger and Patriot Games.
Mosquito Coast is one of his more uncharacteristic movies. He's not 'the good guy'. That one with Michelle Pfeiffer where he's the bad guy are two of the rare ones where he plays against type. But The Fugitive is a classic as well.

Yeah I think for him especially the character had much more depth. I mean George Lucas and Spielberg began writing based on their own alternative version of James Bond, and added a lot of depth to the character outside of just an action star. This is also what makes rewatches so awesome and especially for Harrison Ford’s consistent performance of the character.

He picked the best possible roles/movies ever. . . many of the characters became legends, how did he know, how did he do it
he didnt know. as he said its about emotions. I think the emotional part of his roles and the unique style of those movies compared with his great acting made those characters such legends.
I have yet to see so many of his movies though, i always wanted to see call of the wild but never was able to. And morning glory seems funny, didnt even know that movie existed before i watched this video.

Seems like he just picked roles/characters that were similar to his own personality, so... not much acting was required. Dry humor, lack of affection, impatient and intolerant. Plus, he's good with his hands and he's a pilot. Not to mention, a ladies man.

I actually disagree with you on that. Considering how reticent and jaded Harrison Ford is, I couldn't imagine him doing something he didn't want to do or not care for at his age. As Old School as he is, and as rich as he is at this point, he'd only devote his later years to a movie if he truly wanted to do it.

Harrison Ford is such a humble guy and a kind soul. One of the reasons he'll always be my #1 favorite actor.
Harrison Ford has made so many classic movies, with classic characters, it's incredible. Iconic roles such as Han Solo, Indy, Jack Ryan. Great films such as The Fugitive, Witness, Frantic, etc. But I have to say I think he was incredible in Regarding Henry, which surprised me at the time after seeing him in so many action/adventure type roles. And he's still cranking out great performances!

I love him as an actor but in every interview I get the feeling that he rather wants to be somewhere else😂
I think he's genuine but also isn't a big fan of "celebrity" and all that comes with it, so some of these self-gratifying style interviews don't seem to be something he enjoys doing even if he does them.

Spencer Kindra Sean Connery looked like that naturally as he was bald in 1980s and was hair was grey almost white and was only 58-59 years old when filmed Indiana Jones and Last Crusade. Connery wore toupees for many of his films
I actually like the way that Harrison Ford acts differently compared to other celebrities. He seems much more down-to-earth and not just overly-enthusiastic about the littlest things. Like, you know you did something impressive if you can impress him.

IMO he's well aware of the divide between character and actor, and basically dislikes anyone or anything that wants him to play a real-life role as anything other than himself, an insane, utter perfectionist about the art and craft of acting, storytelling and film.
Dang, he sounds so sad but loved his career so much! His voice is so deep when he's just talking, offscreen. But he was a legend onscreen. I can't wait for the 5th and final Indy movie next year! #foreverlegend

@@sejiva no he made 55 mil to 60 with his percentage points off Indy 4. Spielberg and Lucas also made a killing!. So he made way more than 30 mil for Indy 4. I'm sure for Indy ford will get 25-40 mil

One of the most amazing actors to ever live! He can play almost any part if he wants to and then puts his own twist on it and makes it part like know one else can! He has talent like very few people ever will have but is humble about the whole acting scene!

@crookback yeah he prefers indiana jones much more it seems, and it shows in his acting as well - also probably working with Spielberg helped a ton
Ford seems to hate Solo, but loves Jones!

My favourite Harrison ford films are Witness and the Fugitive. I could rewatch them any day.
The movie "Witness" was literally part of my English class's curriculum in grade 10. Amazing film.
I think this was his best acting.
