I watched the 'Back to the Future' trilogy with my 6-year-old nephew on the holidays. About five weeks after he went back to school, the teacher asked if anyone in the class had heard of Einstein. My nephew thrust his hand up in the air, and confidently said, "He's Doc Brown's dog!" 😂😂😂

This man has been an active actor in the industry for over 60 years, he has said several times in interviews that there is no role that is too small for him to take, his resume is higher than his age, he's been in independent movies, plays, television, video games, cartoons, blockbuster movies, theme park attraction videos, and GQ only breaks down 5 of his iconic roles?! Christopher Lloyd has WAY MORE iconic roles than just 5!! What a dis-service to him, the marvelous actor that he is yet not getting the full recognition he deserves, and to us, the fans who grew up watching him!!

Its sad to see them grow older but we were kids too and now we are over 40 those who grew up with them.

Doc Brown was such a positive presence in BTTF 2, and he got his own personal story in BTTF 3. Zemeckis did him real good with those movies. Thank you Mr. Lloyd.
Christopher Lloyd is a National Treasure! This could easily have been a two hour video covering "Why Framed Roger Rabbit?" and "The Addams Family", if not many more. He's a character actor for the ages that loses himself in the role. This is what an actor should be. He's the best.

I am really sad he didnt talk about Who framed Roger rabbit, an excellent role and a nightmare of my childhood.
Also Nobody from 2021 was a fun role, Clue from 1985 and his Addams Family role was great
He had such great chemistry with Raul Julia and Joan Cusack in the Addams movies.

He was also Professor Plumb in Clue (released the same year as Back to the Future). I’d say that role was iconic too.

Very few actors make me feel so damned happy as Christopher Lloyd does. A REAL gem of an actor.
Love Christopher Lloyd, but you should have reviewed WAY more of his famous characters! For example, Judge Doom (Who Framed Roger Rabbit), UNCLE FESTER (Addams Family), Rasputin (Anastasia), Al (Angels in the Outfield) and so many more!

Lloyd doesn't do all too many interviews, but when he does he always gives thoughtful, full answers!
He also doesn't do cons very often, but he was at my local comic con last year, and I was able to meet him. He's a childhood hero of mine, and I wasn't disappointed.

I never got into theatre because I thought I was shy. As I grown up I realize that i am open and not shy I just get my energy being by myself. A lot of actors are introverts and that surprised me. Even Micheal Jackson was a introvert.

I'm a lifelong Star Trek fan starting when I was 3 years old in 1968. When I saw Kruge for the first time, what came to me was "this guy is a pirate, he's all ambition and no honor". He was put on ably for he most threatening Klingon until Star Trek VI. I don't think anybody else could have played him the way Mr. Lloyd did.
I was raised in the 80s and this guy is a legend
I've met Mr. Lloyd before and it's amazing how such a soft spoken and gentle man can light up the screen with all his over the top characters. What an actor.
I think one of his most underrated roles was a voice role in the show Cyberchase. He was the villain and he made the show so fun to watch. Another underrated role was the hobo in Dennis the Menace. He creeped me out in that movie.
Never had cable growing up, Cyber chase was AMAZING and I'll never forget his voice.
That’s right he played The Hacker. It was a underrated show on PBS in the early 2000’s and a part of my childhood.
Agreed 😊 He and the actor that voices the robot bird made that show very entertaining. I still watch it for kicks, if I run across it.
I was terrified of him in Dennis the Menace all those years ago. I rewatched the movie just a few weeks ago -- still terrifying, can confirm hahah

The friendship between Doc and Marty has caused my heart to melt now in 5 different decades. It's so interesting how certain things are captured in a film. I would so like to meet Christopher Lloyd and thank him for so many memories, and me bonding with my best friend by watching Back to the Future. Lloyd and Fox are incredible dynamic duo.
He's one of those actors who will always be a part of someone's childhood. So many remarkable and unforgettable characters you just love have been brought to life thanks to Mr. Lloyd.
As Jim Ignatowski in Taxi, he was priceless.
I actually also really liked his 90s comedies like Dennis the menace & My favourite martian.

what's great is.. he doesn't CHANGE that much for a role, yet he still blends into those til he's a totally different person. He actually had 60s sitcom feel in My Favorite Martian, which helped ground it since the rest of the movie was a little WHOAA 90s HAHA
That's also why I loved him in Camp Nowhere. He actually gets to PLAY a conman who puts on a bunch of different personas... and they aren't all super different, it's not a Mrs. Doubtfire situation, he just has to seem genuine to each group of parents. and totally nails it.

I watched the BTTF with my father, will watch with my kids when they grow up and they will watch it with their children... this classic will live forever! Glad to see Lloyd still working as he is a big part of, and himself is, the Legend!
I did that same thing. I’m 38. My kids are 10 and 11. They love bttf. It’s a real pleasure of life.
I’m 20 now I love watching back to the future so many times! And I can’t wait to show my kids someday! Not just this film series but All the others my dad showed me!
Reverend Jim is easily one of the best television comedy characters of all time. 😄 The driver's license test, the scene where he's a door to door salesman, everything Christopher Lloyd did on that show was gold.
Taxi had such a legendary cast -- one of THE best television shows of all time.
Damn, I didn't want that video to end. Who else got a lump in their throat when he talked about people coming up to him telling him they'd become scientists or engineers after seeing him in BTTF?

*"Walk Like a Man"* is one of the most underrated comedies of all time. *"The Dream Team"* is also a great one. I've no idea why they weren't mentioned. Chris Lloyd is a legend.

Back to the Future is the reason I got into the film industry. I got to meet both Christopher and Lea on the set of a Hallmark movie (my first full feature, coincidentally). Lea wished me good luck with my career on her last day, and Christopher was so kind, funny, and casual. Surely a shoot I will not forget!
Even Christopher Lloyd's lesser known roles are well-performed. I loved the dynamic between himself and the main character in "I am not a Serial Killer".
Every role I have seen him in has made me smile. Truly a great and inspirational actor. They left out so much!
Please bring him back for a part 2. Judge Doom, Uncle Fester, his role on Tremors the TV series, his role list is epic!

I’m one of those kids who grew up with it. Born in 94 and they’ve been my favorite movies my whole life.
All his characters are amazing, I absolutely LOVE grandpa in The Tender Bar. Christopher is bomb.

4:50 The change-up of actors was a blessing in disguise because Doc's character now felt worn-in, like a real person already living in the world when we meet him, and Michael J Fox's energy clearly sparked the best performance in Christopher Lloyd after all that good full-dress rehearsal.

I used to play this point and click adventure game when I was a kid called Toonstruck. You play as Christopher Lloyd - Fantastic videogame and for me his nr 1 performance because of nostalgia.

He's one of the true, legendary, most underrated geniuses when it comes to writing comedy, acting and everything else to do with television and the movie industry bar none!
Christopher Lloyd played a formative role in my childhood by starring as Cyberchase's villain, The Hacker. That iconic voice, the maniacal laughter, the incessant, creative, and vocabulary-building insults he'd levy and Buzz and Delete... memories, man. This show did a great job at building me up to the math teacher I am today. Thank you, sir. Would have been nice to hear his thoughts on it.
I can't even imagine back to the future with Eric stoltz because Christopher Lloyd's chemistry with Michael J. Fox was amazing.
He was also great as Uncle Fester in the 1990s "Addams Family" movies, Henry Sikorsky in "The Dream Team" with Michael Keaton, and who could possibly forget John Bigbooté in "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension"?! What an amazingly talented and funny actor!
Oh yea, he delivered those memorable lines in BB with delightful conviction,
"Your OverThruster is for $hit" and ...Bigbooté. Tay, TAY, *TAY!*

Everytime i see an interview with Mr.Lloyd he always seems happy to answer the questions (many he's been asked hundreds, if not thousands of times before!) seems like a really good,interesting guy who would be great to have a drink with.
BTTF is one of my favorite series. Such a comfort film as it bring back memories of watching the films with my siblings and going to Universal Studios and riding the ride with the fam. A true legend Christopher Loyd is
Professor Plum in 1985 film Clue is one of my personal faves of his.

This man was a big part of my childhood. Even to this to this day it's such a joy to see him. I was kind of hoping they would ask him about his role as The Hacker, but just hearing him speak brings great happiness.
Seeing Lloyd kicking ass in Nobody whilst being in his 80s makes him a certified legend on top of everything else he’s accomplished.

Chris Lloyd is probably my favorite living actor. I've been lucky enough to be in the presence of many celebrities, but I think he's the only one for whom I might get emotional if I ever met him. (It doesn't hurt that at times he has a distinct resemblance to my dad.)

This man is an absolute treasure. This video could easily (and maybe should have been) twice as long to cover more of his roles... Even in his smaller roles, he made a huge impact on the films he was in. Perhaps we could have a part 2?
Christopher Lloyd definitely hits me in the nostalgia zone. I remember loving Taxi as a kid because of Jim. The only movie I've ever seen in a theater 3 times was BTTF and probably had more to do with MJF cause I had a wicked crush on him, but I loved Doc in the movie. He does a perfect befuddled genius. Thanks for all the laughs you've given me over my lifetime Mr. Lloyd.
I loved him in Taxi too, then he was great in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest ... in fact he's been bloody great in everything he's ever done. Marvellous man!
I remember having a great dinner with him and his spouse in Bali back in 94, He was a guest at our Hotel, he is a GREAT GREAT GREAT guy. It was an honor to meet him.
He is much more than the Professor in Back to the Future, much more, a great character actor.
One of the shows that introduced me to Christopher Lloyd was his role as The Hacker on Cyberchase, easily another one of my all-time favorite shows on PBS Kids in the 2000s and into the 2010s.
They left out some truly iconic roles, I always liked his Professor Plum in Clue
2:25 Who doesn't love when actors talk trade-craft? You really get the sense, through story-telling, of what it's like to be a working actor as a human like you or me with energy and self-esteem limits.
He reminds me SO MUCHHH of my Grandpa, that is not here with us anymore. I almost forgot how he looked, but "Doc" Made me remember it.
Such an absolute legend! He’s just such a nice and genuine person and epic actor! His films made my childhood and now he’s a huge influence on my own kids. I can directly attribute my love for science and wildly successful career to his influence as Doc! 👨✈️ ✈️
With Charles Grodin it was always a shock he was so old, he always played younger characters! With Christopher Lloyd it's a shock he's still alive, he always played older characters! :D

I watched Back to the Future in the theater as a teen and now my Grandson loves it.
Christopher Lloyd is always Christopher Lloyd. And I'm totally okay with that, because we need more Christopher Lloyd.

My mom started showing me Taxi reruns after I got into Back to the Future, and we seriously quoted that "what does a yellow light mean?" scene at each other for YEARS. Especially during driver's ed.
