  • After getting almost 8000kms out of this current Heidenau rear tire, and having a spare sitting in the shed ready for immediate install, I thought it only fitting that the old worn rear should go out in a blaze of glory befitting it's exceptional service..
I have a new pattern 150/17 K60 Scout waiting in line so hopefully it will prove as long lasting and grippy as it's predecessor.

So how bad was the tire before the burn off? 8000kms, any tread depth at all? I have a 6000km trip coming up and have 4500kms on the K60 Scouts (ones with the rubber strip down the middle) now and trying to figure out if they will make it. I hate taking tires off that are half life. This is on the 2012 Super Tenere. Any thoughts? The traction control stays on all the time except for off road which is half of what I do.

Read the title message... The tire was rooted and due for replacement.
Anyway, I might just post another one up of smoking up a brand new tire just to piss you idiots off :-)
