I'm enjoying Keqing as a major value card. She GENERATES a card in your hand. That's huge. If it's in your hand, be sure to elemental tune it before you use her skill again, and you get it right back. That utility in addition to its actual use of a zero cost, quick swap to her is just... *chefs kiss*
I've been running her with Mona and Fischl for resonance. Lots of fun!

  • @Azure_Aether
    @Azure_Aether Před rokem +68

    Some good combos to consider.
Liben and the Parametric Transformer. The Parametric Transformer will give you additional dice after it sacrifices itself but the dice are random elemental dice. If you still have some leftover after triggering it it can jumpstart Liben on the next turn.
Chef Mao and the NRE. This is a deceptively strong engine that can give you all the food you could use and can essentially pay for itself while giving you extra card draw overtime. Also with all the healing it's very likely that your characters aren't going to be dying anytime soon. Special mention to the Lotus Crisps that prevent 3 damage. These are a great utility for 1 mana. You can use it on a character you want to switch into and give them a good safety net to protect themselves with. It can also help to weaken an Elemental Burst's effectiveness.
And finally Tubby and any of the 2 cost Location cards. Tubby can give you a lot of insane value over time by letting you play a lot of the powerful utility locations for free once per turn. Healing combos like the Cathedral and the Inn can keep your characters healthy, the Liyue Harbor wharf can give you a ton of card draw overtime for no cost and the Dawn Winery can save you on switches to smooth out your plays. All of these are cards you could already be playing and adding Tubby to your deck will make them all free once per turn.

a note when it comes to Liben, each Omni die counts as a unique die
meaning that if you play Liben turn 1 planning on him activating turn 3, make sure that if you do have a combo that will leave you with 3 dice left, but you want him to collect 2, that your duplicate dice aren't Omni dice

I'm running Ayamiya and Magu Oceanid control, and also played Mono Pyro, and here are my tips:
    1. Aggro heavily depends on setting up the board as much as possible, so Timmie+Liben+Paimon+Parametric Transformer are better options overall.
    2. Magu Oceanid is a Summon Spam deck, and I am using the Food Engine (NRE + Chef Mao) and all the 0 cost food for simple dice generation even if it seems to do nothing that turn. Add in Hydro Resonance and Mona, and you have the most annoying, stalling deck even if your summons are dealt by Xiao, since the healing and freeze is enough to buy you time.
    3. Mono Element is where The Best Companion Ever!!!, Strategize, Jade Chamber, Katheryne, and Element Specific Artifacts shine the most, because you are essentially trading reaction damage for pure resource advantage.
    4. I find Strategize to be a weak card in Aggro and Control, but in Midrange, I only keep 1 or 2 copies depending on the deck. This is because you can do a lot with 1 dice. Gaining 2 cards is nice, but then, Genius Invocation always ends in Turn 3, and you can get higher value by playing Liben or Timmie in the same round. Strategize is a net neutral (-1 card -1 die for 2 cards) while Timmie is a +1 (-1 card for +1 card +1 die) after three turns (YGO equivalent is Shard of Greed) while Liben is an INSANE +3 (-1 card for +2 card, +2 die, since you can't use the extra dice you pay for Liben most of the time. There is even a Liben+ Resonance die combo where you trade that die for an immediate +2 instead)

    • @indeeditiscirro

What counts as midrange, aggro and control? I'm lost with all this jargon, please explain and give examples

    • @skybattler2624
      @skybattler2624 Před rokem +2

@@indeeditiscirro Aggro: your goal is to end the game Turn 3 or even Turn 2, if situations are in your favor. Ayamiya is the best example of an aggro deck, so is Collei Burn
Control: your goal is to interrupt the opponents' play or stop their plays overall to slow down the game beyond Turn 5 or more. Best example of this is Freeze control (best team is Xinqui, Ayaka, and Chongyun), which actually counters Ayamiya. Other examples are Sucrose Jean Double Swirl, Magu Kenki Freeze, and Overload.
Midrange: typically centered around characters that pop up on Turn 3 or 4. Quicken teams (esp. those centered around Cyno), Noelle teams, and Ganyu teams are examples.

Personally, one of my favorite support cards is the jade chamber.
It guarantees dice that are useful for your active character. And even if you plan on using a different character, the mismatched dice can still be used for other things, even a simple normal attack.

I've been having *so* much fun with the tcg. I've got a noelle deck as my main and I'm working on perfecting my aggrivate deck. Here's a couple tips I've got:
    1. The more low-cost/non-matching dice cards you've got, the less value Liben has.
    2. Got a deck with lots of burst-reliant characters? Iron tongue tian, liu su, and the exile's circlet can help you pop off that combo faster/with less dice than calx's arts, starsigns (mona card), or simply generating more dice for more actions
    3. "I haven't lost yet!" (itto card) is a universally good card for any deck. Can get you out of a pinch real nicely. Its useless if your opponent kills your character after you've ended your turn though
    4. 2 artifacts that I've found to be invaluable are gambler's and exile's. Exile's is good on anyone who just wants to pop their 2 energy burst and swap off (xingqiu, kaeya, collei, etc). Costs 2 dice, they don't even need to match. Gambler's is more situational but its really good for 1 turn kills if you have a main damage dealer. Noelle /w burst active + gambler + minty meat rolls go brrrrr

The only argument I have is tip 3. I always try to match my teams element because I might need those certain dice to do what I have to do for the selected character or when I switch characters. Even if I get all the dice elements I want like say 8 Cryo, I doubt I would use all of them in one go for that character and use a few for the other cards I have and that’s ok. So I see what ur saying and it’s true, but I rather try to get all the dice I need for a better outcome

This is just my opinion and im quite new but I personally think that the Ningguang card is SO OP! Her skill can be reduced with the archaic petra artifact to 2 and it generates a shield thing which reduces the dmg taken by 1 or 2 (i havent checked) plus her burst does 6 dmg! Which can almost insta-kill a low hp enemy!

  • @madeliefynana

I think TCG is pretty refreshing and fun.
My deck consists of with Barbara, Kaeya and Xingqiu.
Barbara for some healing, Xingiu for some extra normal dmg and Kaeya for his burst. I also have exile, calxs art and Tian in it, so I can get their burst quickly, also a lot of stuff to get more dice.
I mainly build it around Kaeya's burst, because it can do 2 dmg for the price of 1 dice.
Most funny moments when I win are those where my opponent basically dooms themselves. There was a Ganyu (1 HP) they killed my active character.
I was forced to switch and because of the switch the icicle did dmg back to Ganyu.
Is it the best deck?? No
Is it fun when I win? In some instances: hell yeah!
I remember this one time Kaeya soloing it against 3 character cards, honestly I'm note shocked than proud when Kaeya killed all 3.

My own playstyle (which has moderate success) is to open with a character that has some form of damage reduction. My dendro team has Mona, my melt has Ganyu, my freeze has Xinqui and Monster has agent. This allows me to play my high priority cards like Paimon and then tank the opening damage from the opponent.
I then try to get any summons i may have up to get maximum value and/or prioritise a certain reaction.
Honestly the biggest hurdle for me is the AI spamming normal attacks to burst in the 2nd round.

I’m a sucker for Fischl, Ganyu and Ayaka:
Ganyu is a “Jack of all trades, master at none” type of card. She has a cheap burst that allows for early superconduct, and once you have Oz up then you will be easily chipping away at the whole teams health.
Fischl has an easy e but also a very powerful aoe burst (costly though). It’s useful if you get the energy early enough
Ayaka is the standard dps. Once the other’s summons are up you can simply switch to her and she will take care of the rest- PLUS if your ganyu burst runs out then ayaka’s more powerful burst can replace it

  • @jmagicd9831
    @jmagicd9831 Před rokem +1

Nice video, not sure some of the character cards were placed in the right archetype though.
The agro characters were mostly the ones used in the Ayamiya deck which is a combo deck meant for an OTK at turn 3. Noelle isn’t really a control deck card. While she has some sustain, she actually can turn agro if you get a weapon on her and her burst up. (I would know, since I’ve played more Noelle than any other deck)
Also the card draw while useful, can be overstated in GITCG since you aren’t allowed to have more than 10 cards and overdrawing can really screw you over if the overdraw makes you lost a key combo piece.

My deck consists of Jean, Maguu Kenki and Oceanid. It relies on skills and dices a lot as well as quick swapping, but I find it very fun to set up those summons and switch to Jean, freezing and constantly applying elements and swirling, forcing them immovable and making them waste their turns to switch only to have Jean swirl again and kill them.
This deck isn't the best thing ever but boy do I like it because it's my deck and my strat, and it feels my style.
It relies a lot on elemental die support cards, fast switches and stuff. Summons use a lot of dices and I need to switch fast to be able to get a perfect in a single turn.
Yeah it's not efficient, maybe it is high set up mediocre payoff (idk you be the judge) but when things go right it is so satisfying.

Personally i dont like the paimon card cause it well costs 3 of one color and doesnt get you any advatage the turn you play it
It takes pretty much a full turn befor its any use and 2 inorder for it to pay for itself
Meanwhile you could just play the area card that stores your last two dice for 0 cost
Or the other paimon that fixes bad rolls for free
For the 1 drop that just needs you to attack 3 times which you were probably gonna do anyways
There is just so much more you could do with that three dice you waste on the three cost paimon that its not worth it.

Unfortunately video provides some basic info. That's OK though it's just I needed something to understand more sophisticated way of playing so it's not for me. But it's still gives some not-completly-beginner tips which may prove helpful for people who just started playing

At first I had fun with the TCG, but after playing it enough I just don't understand why everyone likes it so much. I want to like it too, I think the concept is really neat and refreshing, but I simply cannot enjoy it.
For starters, resources. Everytime I play I'm n e v e r given the dice I need, and Tuning is a waste since I only put cards in my decks that I like and want to use. Tuning a card wastes its value, so it's a lose-lose situation. I use the Favonius Library and Paimon cards specifically for this issue, but a 4/30 chance of getting one of those isn't exactly what I would call reliable.
Not to mention character switching. It's just downright detrimental to do so unless you can at least use it as a fast action. Otherwise, what? You switch from one screwed character only to condemn your next to be equally as screwed? What's the pay-off beyond not having a character die, even though whoever you switch to is probably going to get rolled anyway?
The latter issue isn't even that big of a deal, however when combined with the former issue I'm having it means I never even get to defend myself. I just get all three characters instantly on low health or dead by the third round. I can't deal any meaningful damage, if I even get to attack in the first place, so how am I supposed to do anything?
And don't even get me starter on the Magu Kenki fight to unlock it. I've tried every deck, almost every character I have and nothing, n o t h i n g works. The constant switching around makes him basically impossible to damage, both he and the grunts tear apart my characters like they're nothing, and even when I do get to damage him it doesn't even matter since he has 20 HP.
I get making it challenging, but there's a difference between difficulty and downright impossibility.
Either I'm missing something, my luck has been screwing me over way too hard, or I'm unbelievably stupid, and not being able to figure it out so I can actually play the damn game just makes me want to not bother in the first place.
I just need some help figuring out what in the hell I'm doing wrong so I can have fun again.

I HATE this game & REALLY HATE that primos are locked behind playing it. If I wanted to play cards, I'd play cards.

The best tip for GITCG is to avoid it.
