Very helpful. It is good to know that since I am able to manage this on my own, I don’t need to see a doctor. I had been having problems with insomnia. Also, I had a pain in the side of my neck and even trouble turning my head. I did not realize that the two were related until I bought a heated neck stretcher. I was disappointed at first because it did not feel like much of a stretch. It felt more like a hard pillow that was somehow very comfortable. It put me to sleep and when I woke up, my neck pain was gone and I could turn my head with full mobility. And, from an insomnia perspective, it was like an off switch where it put me to sleep. I am here because I was worried that I should go to see a doctor or what else I can do. And, while I like that all I have to do is go to sleep on a neck pillow, I appreciate hearing about the exercises and when to seek professional help.

I started having severe shooting pain down my left arm a couple months ago. At first it wasn't every day, so when it occurred during a day at work, I thought it would go away. It didn't. By the end of my work day, my arm and shoulder was so stiff and painful I couldn't even drive. My sister took me to Urgent Care. They took X-rays and sent me to an orthopedic. I was diagnosed with tendonitis and started physical therapy. The PT helped decrease the pain so that at least I didn't have it every day.
Over time though, I began getting the same pain in my right arm and shoulder. My upper back was also in pain and sometimes just walking around, my shoulders feel so heavy. Also was having a slight pain and stiffness in the neck but that was minimal. Went back to my orthopedic and she referred me to a spine specialist. He ordered an MRI and it turns out that I have a slight degenerative disc, a bulging disc, and two disc protrusions. My job at work is very physical so I've had to step away from it.

Thank you so much for watching the video and taking time to leave a comment. Unfortunately (and I know this will be frustrating for you), I am unable to give individual medical advice out on this channel. This is because of medico-legal reasons, not knowing your full case, circumstances and it would be unethical of me to do so otherwise. I have included the general resources I used to make this video in the description box but I have to advise that you speak to your own health provider (e.g. doctor, nurse) so that they can properly assess your case. Thanks for understanding.

5 years? It took you 5 years to do something and this is where you come for diagnostics?
Go to the local doctor or find a specialist.
