- Here is a classic example why I don't support Microsoft's Bullshit. This disc is only a year old and this disc cracked from normal use. Microsoft, Prepare to be amazed as I will end up with a new copy of the game, not on my dime.

I didn't get a long cracked like that but I did get small cracks in the center. It happened to my black ops 1 and 2, MW2, and advanced warfare. These games are way too expensive to constantly buy over and over again.

Just a day ago, my mom hit the hell out of my xbox, which made the Borderlands disc inside act unstable, whirring in a disturbing motion. I tried to stop the torture the game was enduring, but it was too late. :( This also was the same result for GTA IV. THE GIANT MARK WAS WHY I COULD NOT PLAY IT!! HELP!

The thing you push down in the game cases sometimes have pieces of extra plastic sticking out. At least 2 of my games have been cracked because of it, including a brand new out of the case AC brotherhood
I didn't know this at first, but you can install the game and after the game loads than you can take it out. AFTER YOU TAKE OFF THE SHELL. You shouldn't have to do that. Microsoft needs to play down the explosiveness of the console.

Its always GTA 4, GTA 5, Prototype 2, Saints Row 5, Black ops 2, MW2, MW3, minecraft and fallout new vegas, Just cause 2, Black ops 3 and Halo reach

Do Xbox games spin faster than dvds? My cracked disks run fine.

I never really noticed my disc crack until I got this multi plug in. after using it literally every game cracked that I owned. I don't know if they were a little cracked already but the moment I plugged in the multi plug in my x box went nuts. i ended up getting a new x box and took the multi plug in out and it stopped cracking as long as they didn't have a previous crack.
Its mainly the game case that causes the problem. When you click the game in the case it puts pressure on the inner circle edge and forms the crack. Happened on my mw3 and good words man

try installing games on your 360s hard drive. the disc comes out cool and there is no noise. hope this helps.

I would rather make copies of every discs that I bought as a back up in case the original ones wrecked.
My Ufc undisputed 2009 got 1 little crack in the front and two little ones in the back and 0 scratches and it still works really good no glitches no disc errors no nothing
This happened to my Dark Souls 2 disc...maybe not as bad, and it still shows the game icon when I put the disc in, but I'm 100% sure if I keep playing it, the crack is gonna get worse. Dammit Xbox 360!!

Try instaling a good copy of Black ops. My Nba Live 10 had a huge crack in it. I rented a good copy from family video and installed it. 6 months later it still works better than it did when i bought it from gamestop.

I have the same problem, except imy discs are scratched, not cracked and have gradually got worse until it's impossible to do anything on the game. Most of the time it just freezes but other times it says the disc is unreadable. I take good care of my discs (Black Ops & Halo 3) but i was considering buying a new dvd-rom drive to replace it. After this video, im not sure whether i should waste £30 on a new dvd-rom drive if i'm going to have the same problem if it could be to do with heat.

I remember my Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 disc copy got a huge crack and it wouldn’t let me play Mutiplayer. So I had to get a new one...

my halo reach formed a crack from the center out but only just an inch or so. i can play the game but most maps have a load failure the only thing i did different was setting my Xbox vertically which had to have caused the crack. Is Microsoft responsible for this
indeed the guy is right. discs these days are so fucking sensible. they break so fast. they are purposefully made like that so you buy more so they can get more money

I understand. The new Xbox 360 Elite (Only used for about a year.) and have a ring scratch on the Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 1 that cracked in HALF while I was playing it. So Microsoft better do something about this, because it is the console that does this, not because I was playing it so long.
This exact thing happened to my black ops 2, it cracked two ways and I heard a drilling sound, so I took it out my xbox and it had split in half.
i know how you feel man my freking game was disinagrated because of that xbox so please make them feel how we feel
happened to my mw2.. i think if you just install all your games when you first get them the disk wont get bashed up as much because the xbox only needs to spin it for a minute. I got by with my mw2 because i borrowed my friends and installed mine, and the xbox could just read it to start it off. but now its completely fucked and im pretty pissed.

I load the game I'm playing on the hard drive to help preserve my game disc. But I totally agree with the video.

I agree with you. My xbox broke not only my Halo Reach, but, my Destiny copy! I was just getting ready to play, and it just DOESN'T work.

my sims3 game has a 1inch crack and a perfect circle around it....the Xbox is able to read the disc still,but in the middle of the game,it freezes completely!!

this problem has nothing to do with the xbox getting hot and spining the disk at such a fast rate that is splits. the crack form when the disc is being forced in or out of its casing. you have to be very delicate with the disc when taking out the disc and replaicing it back into the game case. its starts from that and gets worse when the game console spins the disc. remember when you buy a new game to be very careful with it when doing that. its did to happen with ps2 discs of mine also

That happened to my minecraft disc it was put back every time we didn't use it and it cracked from normal use. Our disc is only 1/2 years old and the first time we used it it cracked a little we didn't think much about it until it got further and didn't work anymore. And I worked so hard on those minecraft worlds and I don't want to get another and start over.
It happened to my NCAA 11, NBA 2K14, but i can buy new copies of both games, especially NBA 2K13

maybe you should install the game to your hdd next time. i did that on my gta iv with three cracks and it has been good for years. i think it might be the disks rockstar used, two of my friends also have cracked disks. halo reach, splinter cell conviction, bfbc2, and many other games that i have don't have many problems.

i heard the newer models of the xboxs fixed this problem cause they have a smoother disc drive

My Minecraft disc did this today and it still works but I have to make sure the crack is exactly lined up when I play... Although I am thinking of getting a new one..! And when I play Minecraft or a game and I save it to my hard drive. So if I bought a new disc will my saved stuff be on the new disc??!... From my saved hard drive?
IF YOU INSTALL EVERY DISC IN YOUR HARD DRIVE, DON'T STOP DOING IT. YOUR MINECRAFT WORKS ONLY BECAUSE IT'S INSTALLED IN YOUR HARD DRIVE :)

"This gaming generation's awesome." lol Graphics-wise, yes. Gameplay and reliability is totally lacking. Also, jak, you are right. If the system messes up the game, the company must replace said game that was in said malfunctioning system. That is the bottom line.

So I know this is old but here is the answer. The plastic on the disc got replaced in 2010 to be more eco-friendly, so did the cases. I realized this because my Halo: Reach, FIFA 10, Skyrim, and Black Ops have cracks. My skyrim just cracked as I took it out of the case and I bought it 2 days ago. Normal discs don't do this and I can prove it. It is just the way Microsoft is. I suggest either install it to the HDD, or move to PC gaming like I did :D
How on Earth did it come to this? My original Xbox is still running like a dream, as well as my N64 AND my wii; it seems to me that the gaming industry is making leaps backwards...
