  • In part III of the tour, Craig Westergard, Architect and Trustee at the Roslyn Landmark Society, discusses the ongoing restoration of the historic grist mill in Roslyn, which dates back to around 1700. Key restoration efforts include reinstalling the turning water wheel, dismantling and raising the building to place it on a new foundation, and repairing deteriorated wood. The project also focuses on preserving the building's structural integrit.
This Dutch-designed grist mill, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is one of only two such buildings remaining worldwide. The restoration aims to preserve its historical significance and functionality, with plans for the water wheel to be operational in the near future.
