  • The tour, conducted by Craig Westergard, Architect and Trustee at the Roslyn Landmark Society, continues to highlight the historical significance and redevelopment of Roslyn. In part 4, he takes us to the former site of the Blue Spruce Inn, a beloved establishment that burned down in 1974 and is now replaced by a thoughtfully designed retail space.
In the distance from the shopping center, the iconic AT&T Tower peeks through the trees. Built in the late 60s/early 70s, it is now slated for removal despite its historical value. The Sinclair Martin Drive Historic District features well-preserved historic houses, some built by Bill Levitt, and is set within a protected hillside environment.
During the tour, Craig Westergard also points out another significant building, Trinity Church, designed by Stanford White and renowned for its Tiffany-stained glass windows.
