Roslyn Landmark Society was founded in 1961 as a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history and historic resources of Roslyn, and its surroundings on Long Island’s North Shore.
Thanks to the hard-work and dedication of countless members, volunteers, and elected officials, the 340 year-old village is not only a showcase of historic and iconic American architectural styles, it's a vibrant community illustrating the economic benefits of good preservation policies. Our organization is a nationally recognized landmark preservation success story.
Although the Roslyn Landmark Society has enjoyed many successes over the years, our greatest challenge lies ahead. Witnessing increased developmental pressures, the Society is working diligently to preserve Roslyn's historic architecture and maintain the wonderful qualities of life it offers its residents.

2024 Roslyn walking tour - Part 5 – Rallye Motors
The last part of the tour, conducted by Craig Westergard, Architect and Trustee at the Roslyn Landmark society, offers a look at the history and evolution of a landmark building Rallye Motors, initially established by Peter Terian and George Moss.
Designed by the acclaimed architect Ulrich Franzen, the luxurious showroom epitomizes sophisticated Art Moderne architecture.
As we explore the building, Doug Foss, General Manager at Rallye Motors, provides a detailed tour of its interior, showcasing both the new and used car showrooms, the spacious service area with advanced facilities, and the thoughtful employee-centric design.
