  • OK it's not glamorous, but it will save you a ton of time. Setting up a great tuning dashboard makes seeing everything at once and tweaking it a snap. We'll go through the process of creating the ultimate Idle Tuning Dashboard. The same techniques work for any part of your tuning process though!
    As always, the numbers may be specific to a Miata but the process is the same for any car using a Tuner Studio supported ECU.

    Wish you had come done this 6 months ago lol. Great videos. Best I've seen so far concerning miata MS info. Can read till your eyes bleed but sometimes watching someone else helps connect the dots. Helped me go back and fine tune closed-loop. Look forward to future videos. Suscribed.

      Thanks! For future stuff that's tuning related I'll be doing some regular street tuning and eventually e85 and tuning for boosted applications.

    Any idea why my TunerStudio doesn't show the 'Tuning and Dyno Views' enabled so I can click it?

      @OGPedXing  Před 5 lety

      Huh. I did not realize this until looking it up right now but this view is only on the Utra version, not the MS or free versions. You can upgrade it looks like for $45. What you get is the tuning views and designer, integrated log viewer and trim table autotune plus a few other things.

    Did u create the Idle VE Table?

  • @fam4sta611
    @fam4sta611 Před 11 měsíci

    Is there any reason i can't add certain tables? Im trying to tune my miata with an MSPNP2 with the current version of Tuner studio (3.1.08) did they remove them or is there some settings I'm missing? or is it a limitation with the firmware of the PNP2?

    • @OGPedXing
      @OGPedXing  Před 11 měsíci

      There are a couple of screens based on the version of tuner studio (free vs regular vs ultimate) but most differences will be based on the megasquirt hardware version. The ms2 is missing some features they added, like some of the extra flex fuel stuff and maybe the special idle ve table.

    • @fam4sta611
      @fam4sta611 Před 11 měsíci

      @@OGPedXing Ok so it's most likely a hardware limitation then, since I did pay for Ultimate along with megalog viewer. Thanks for your reply! Tuning is kinda tricky and i feel like I should have gone MS3 simply because onboard logging too

    Does it show fuel capacity off the factory sensor so we can possibly use this as a full time dash?

    • @OGPedXing
      @OGPedXing  Před 5 lety +1

      No, unfortunately not out of the box. The factory fuel sender doesn't connect to the ECU. However you are able to wire it yourself by connecting the signal wire to a spare input on the megasquirt (0-5v) I think. Then in tuner studio you can configure the pin and use the add channel wizard to calibrate it like other sensors. This link may help

    • @OGPedXing
      @OGPedXing  Před 5 lety

      @@dangerousfandango5943 should be a similar process for an ms2 although there may be fewer inputs to work with...worst case you can add a circuit in the proto area. If you can find a wiring diagram and pinout for your particular unit (there are a lot of different ones out there) then you can see what you can do next.

    Hey man great info here.
    Got a question, I’m trying to setup my idle tuning views and I’m not seeing a idle vr table. It’s not there , any advice ?

    • @OGPedXing
      @OGPedXing  Před 5 lety

      If your Ms version and firmware supports it it should be on the main menu Startup/Idle then the last item, Idle VE Settings. If it's missing from that menu then your firmware doesn't support it. If it's there but not in the dashboard designer, you may need to turn it on, there is an option on that screen to enable it.

    Been following your videos. I paid for a tune that's I feel is pretty bad. They added a new fuel pump and tuned WOT but my idle is rich and cruising is 10 afr sometimes. I can't get it to catch idle and it idle high. Turbo build motor miata build. Want to help me out?

      @shinobi1203 Před 4 lety

      I feel like alot of those tuners only tune for WOT power on the dyno but don't mess with too much idle and just say hey, you got XXX WHP, here you go

    i cant seem to find Idle VE settings in my tuner studio is there a special way to get to it ?

    • @OGPedXing
      @OGPedXing  Před 4 lety

      It may be supported in later megasquirt firmware's only (like for ms3) but if you set idle be to on in the idle settings it should be available on the idle main menu. Honestly it's not that huge of a feature if your version lacks it. You can use the regular ve table and just change the scale slightly if needed to give you more cells in the idle range.

      What you do is on the dashboard menu there's a load file option and you can select it and it will open up as a new tab on your dashboards view.
