Kubota B2301 plowing 10 inches of wet/frozen snow. This was difficult.

  • Another snow storm came through and left about 10 inches of heavy wet frozen snow. So I fired up the B2301 and put her to work plowing this heavy frozen snow. Also the county grader went by this morning and left a huge frozen ice/snow berm. Hopefully the B2301 has enough grit to break through this berm. Stick around to find out if the Super B can tackle this job.

    Hey Kyle. I guess you guys were clear of the path of last nights storm. We got mostly rain all day and a lot of wind last night.
    On another note, great video. Every snow we have had up here in Fayette County has been preceded by freezing rain and drizzle.
    the weather guessers are calling for snow tonight throughout early morning. temps back to around 0 degrees for the low by next weekend.
    That frozen crap looks really hard.

      Evening Gary. Yeah it really hasn't snowed here since the middle of January. Just cold and icy for the last couple of months. Temps are starting to come back up finally. Looking forward to spring. Thank you for the kind words and continued support. Hope you have a great rest of your week. Take care. 👋

      Hey there Mitch, I've been wanting to take the sled down that hill but haven't worked up the nerve yet. LOL . Hope all is well with you and the family. Have a great week buddy.

    Hi Kyle you said was difficult but I got to say you made it look easy. But I know what you're saying that wet heavy crusty stuff is time-consuming but you did a great job enjoy the video

      Morning BB. I think it took me about 2.5 hours to get the driveway completly cleared. Normally I can get it done in about 1.5 hours. Had to use low range for most of it and the rear diff lock a couple times but the Super B got it done. Thank you for commenting and checking out the video. Have a great week. Take care.

    Heavy wet snow ❄️ how do you like the back blade? Great deep snow dump area you have keeps it from stacking up 👋

      Morning Dana, I really like the back blade I just wish it was wider. I think a 1572 or the 2672 would do better. But I got such a good deal on this one I couldn't pass it up. That is one good thing about the bank it makes for a good storage place. Take care ✌

    Can you say how the snow pusher works compared to the bucket. I have the 2301 also and have used my bucket since 2018. I have wondered how the snow pusher would work on my gravel driveway? Let me know your thoughts

      The snow pusher works great. My driveway is gravel as well and it glides right over the gravel. If you get a lot of heavy wet snow like 8 inches or more it will overload the tractor at times but for most snow it works great.Chains on the rear tires help to get through the heavy snow. Thanks for checking out the video. Take care and all the best.

    Great video, Kyle. Are you happy with the 60" back blade? Do you think it's wide enough?

    • @6DOutdoors
      @6DOutdoors  Před 2 lety

      Hey David, The 60" works well but I think a 72" would work better for our tractors. When I turn the 60" to side cast it barley sticks out behind the tires. I see most people are running a 72". Hope all is well. Take care buddy.

      I agree with Kyle the 72 I have a 84 on my lx2610 the tractors only about 4 ft wide a wider back blade is okay when it comes to a box blade you don't want to go much wider because of the load
