Miscellaneous Meander #52

Welcome to this week's ramble. And welcome new subscribers. I hope you enjoy what you find here.
Today's ramble is, in part, a tribute to one of my 'influencers' - the late, great Jack Hargreaves. As a boy I watched him impart his knowledge of the countryside on shows like 'HOW?' and later, as a teenager, I watched his weekend shows avidly. I learned so much from this man about wild animals and plants, British rural history and country living. He's very much part of the reason that I live my life the way I do.
Meanwhile, I'm tiptoeing through the early bluebells, nipping through nettles and cursing Storm Kathleen while Harris the pug has a good old run around.
