The hidden strength of zilfin is that you can have an IC and a frigatte and still being able going down to one-drop if necessary
nice
Looking good for my Pi'Rats conversion army :)
I know someone doing that too, it’s a cool idea!
With the transport rules clarifying that the models have visibility and range from the vessel they are in, does that mean they can fight in melee while still being embarked in the boat? Are there any rules suggesting otherwise? Might have to keep a set of endrinriggers around on all ships to repel borders in that case!
Yes units can definitely fight and shoot while in the boats
Ironclad with 18 riggers, the rigger hero and an admiral looks really tempting to me. If they target the boat you heal it back, if they go after the riggers it's a ton of wounds on a 3+ you can potentially rally on a 4. Feels like a very powerful and resilient death star.. am I insane?
Youre probably insane but good lord the healing. If you cut some riggers and add a gunhauler and navigator with a free spell in a bottle you could set up a very annoying screen for your opponent to get through while you heal your Ironclad back to full.
The downside is that is almost your entire army. 500 points for boat, 800 for riggers, 200 for rigger boss, and 100 for admiral. You got probably enough for a gunhauler, a navigator and 3 riggers for hauler.
Nice you can take a Runesmiter and his lava tube deployment still works so this Priest can teleport and get that new Prayer to work.
The army looks a lot more fun and flexible now.
Worst thing for me is that they kept that dumb restriction for Cities of Sigmar allies. After they removed similar restrictions from the other three Order armies that had them.
Yeah it is a shame, especially after losing coalition in Thryng as well. At least all the KO units are good and viable now though 😊
Damned. Missed it.
Will bot Thubdik be ok in an ironclad doing 5+ MW f4om it?
The brearh of morgrim is only on 1 unit. I think that this one could be usable
Thundrik is every unit yeah, but once per battle, I’m not sure he’s worth it tbh, but could have been if he was cheaper or a GC
@@Aethercast yea I think if he was like 130 he would be quite good
@@jdurthu4304 yes because then you would get a hero and a deckchair unit you could potentially put elsewhere that’s worth roughly 50 points, less than anything else you can get for that role
Hey guys! I'm Fairly new to KO and I'm trying to figure out how the spell in a bottle works... Once you drop it, does it activate and moves or does it stay in place? And unless you have a character with an arcane tome, at your opponent's next turn, if he just has one Spellcaster he automatically takes control of your spell right?
I'm just confused cause it does not seem that strong to me 😅
Hi Léo! Once you cast the spell it stays in place until the end of the hero phase and you will move it then. Having a character with arcane tome doesn’t make any difference unless they cast the endless spell (which they won’t have done if you used spell in a bottle). This is because wizards can only control a spell if they cast it. Your opponent also does not control the spell even if they have a wizard because their wizard didn’t cast it, the spell is wild. At the end of each players hero phase you each move endless spells you control, once all of those have been moved (if any) you then move endless spells that are wild (the one cast by spell in a bottle, or if you killed any of your opponents wizards that has cast an endless spell which is still on the table). You and your opponent take turns moving these wild endless spells, starting with the player whose turn is taking place. Often there’s only ever one wild endless spell, which is the one from spell in a bottle, so in most cases you can move at the end of your hero phase and your opponent can move it at the end of their hero phase.
Spell in a bottle is powerful, but risky. You need to be very careful using it, and how good it is depends on the spell you choose. Purple Sun giving -1 save to your opponents units when your shoot them is very good. soulscream bridge has a lot of potential for teleporting thunderers without spending 500pts on an ironclad. There’s also a few endless spells that can only move in one direction which are less risky to use. Lastly, don’t forget your movement phase comes after casting the endless spell, so you can move away from the spell if there’s a chance your opponent will have the next turn
@@Aethercast wow thanks a lot for your detailed answer, I was slightly confused by the wording but now everything is much much clearer 🙏❤️
@@kingofka0 no problem, it’s a thing many players new to KO have trouble with. It’s a rarely used mechanic in the game so many players have no experience with it until they play KO
So how does the endless spell work if you can’t control it? Is it whoever goes second that has first pick like in AoS 2?
You move it your turn and your opponent moves it in their turn
It’s moved at end of hero phase by whoever’s turn it is
To resume, Which warscrolls become mandatory in order to this V3 ?
A lot of stuff is good by the looks of it, but you can’t fit everything in so it’s hard to say anything will be absolutely mandatory. I’d start with some arkanauts as a screen, some thunderers and some endrinriggers or skywardens, a frigate, a Khemist, navigator, codewright and an admiral
Can barrak thegryn still take despossed as part of your main list?
we lost coalition. That being said we can still ally in disposed(duardin only), stormcast, and fyreslayers
When do you think you'll be releasing more vid on potential lists and stuff ? Thanks
Hopefully soon, I’m a bit under the weather at the moment and Max and Krohn have events, but we’re going to try and squeeze something in without me being too sniffly!
@@Aethercast Thanks guys, New to KO so love the content. Take your time
Have you found yourself stuck in a shooting/magic meta? Try out the all new Invinci-Clad! All you need is one ironclad, 7 min units of endrinriggers and one endrinmaster with dirigible suit lmao this bad boi can take upwards of 112 wounds (at a 3+ minimum save) in the same turn! For the low price of only 1510pts this is available in all sorts of oddly specific armies. Purchase today and get a free antique piece of aether gold now!
Your forgot the gunhauler for the 6+ wound 😉
Would the arcane tome be a good option for any of the KO heroes?
Arcane tome is always pretty good because it gives you access to mystic shield. Unfortunately there’s a LOT of good artefacts so you just have to pick the ones you want the most
Used mystic shield today, was great to save my command point for all out defence and being able to use that in offence instead.
How would you guys build:
1. Thunderers?
2. Endrinriggers?
Ty in advance!
Thunderers mixed weapons, though there’s a case to be made for not taking a mortar if you want to shoot single models, or for just the 18” weapons if you want a bit more range. If you’re not sure about those then just go all mixed weapons. Whatever you do, don’t leave home without a LoN aethercannon!
Endrinriggers are best with saws and pistols I think, though there’s a case to be made for a grapnel in a couple of smaller units
@@Aethercast Thanks! Is it the same for Skywardens? All pistols & Skypikes?
@@slickmackey620 yes, the long range guns aren’t really worth it now they’re only 3” extra range for the combat damage you lose out on. Grapnel is good for the extra movement it gives, but not strictly necessary
@@Aethercast Big thanks for the insight. And a great video!
When will this be in the stores?
Saturday 11th March, but it’s available for preorder now
23:18 - Is there a rule saying you can't Embark multiple times? I don't see it.
You can embark when you finish a move, so to embark multiple times you would need to be able to move more than once in the same phase, which you can’t
The Cursed City Kharadron Character is also still missing from the list. So I am not sure as what that is about.
I assume he’s not getting points unfortunately… but we don’t really need another hero so it’s fine
So what points do you guys think might get adjusted if any? My list is 35 points over 😭
Anything that ends in 5 points most likely. Khemist and codewright seem a bit cheap too. Not sure anything will come down though tbh
@@Aethercast alright thank you mate. Cheers for the review vid, love the channel 🔥
Damn it I missed it! =(
There’ll be plenty more!
