      And you can only do the Terraform action on an objective that hasn't been terraformed already. Stipulated under the Units section. They can only target an objective that hasn't been terraformed. And at the end of the action segment, it says on a success that marker is now terraformed.

The "sensationalizing" and blatant lies often used to draw people in and flagrant use of colours is made to draw in "normal" people and made by "normal" people. Mordian Glory has been running 240+ Tyranid bugs lately, and the basic strategy is to dominate the primary for the first 4 turns, but basically always get tabled by the end of the game. That mission where you have to destroy or shatter all the enemy units would actually almost be a hard counter to this strategy.

      If you manage to stop him from (a) going above 40 primaries and/or out do him on secondaries. But yes, it could generally allow you to catch up on primaries to make it out as winner.

      For what it's worth, when MG ran it at a tournament, he held two out of three opponents to less than 50 total points at the end of the game, so, yeah, it's a strong strategy to prevent your opponent from scoring primary.

      TBF, GW have been doing this more as of late. Orks have Gretchin in Dread Mob, Custodes technically have Prosecutors in NMV but nobodys running NMV for a myriad of reasons, Dark Angels get Outriders in the Ravenwing detachment, and CSM get Traitor Guardsmen in the Chaos Cult detachment.
      SM, Nids, Admech and Crons can get fucked though.

    • @captainweekend5276
      @captainweekend5276 Před 23 dny

      I'm not sure they could do that without making a bunch of detachments broken since making a unit battleline also increases its OC by 1 and allows you to take 6 of that unit rather than 3, a lot of detachments are not built for those units to be good objective squatters and be taken in double the amount. Lists will change around the new rules and it will just mean some detachments will be not as strong anymore, but that has always been the case. I don't think we need more additional battleline with detachments since it then defeats the point of giving rules that incentivize the actual battleline units, it's pointless to make changes that favour battleline if you're then just going to turn units into battleline in the detachments where they're strongest.

    A reason you might want to use the unbroken wall secret mission is if you're behind on primary, like say 0-10 points or something, so then if you can capture the points you can score primary AND the secret mission. It could be possible to go from 0 Primary to 40. Not likely though, though there is now some amount of bluffing you can do since your opponent might expect you to not go for the objectives since you chose a secret mission, and maybe pulls back a bit to protect some units and then you capture the objectives and gain those 20 points. Depends a lot on the playstate.
