Grumpy's Toy 1966 Chevy Nova 1:25 Scale AMT 772 -Model Kit Build & Review. Build and photos by Craig Wallace for RoR. Copyright 2021 Right On Replicas, LLC. All rights reserved.
This was the 1st 66 he had which was destroyed in an accident and replaced with an all white version. I built one using the 66 Prostreet kit and Slixx decals but now that these are available I'll have to grab 2 and build 1 of each color scheme. Good video thanks for the Review!
Very nice build. I like the detail work that even extends to simulating fluid in the washer tank. AMT came out with the Nova in 1964 when Chevy introduced the model. I still have my model, which I built stock. It didn't have anywhere near the number of parts of this kit.
Really nice build !, Looks great !, Originally kit came out back in the 80s not 1965 and used to have a molded in mirror in the glass and they finally fixed it, It's been reissued several times originally was supposed to have been a 67 not a 66.
Beautiful scale model drag Nova ( Bill Grumpy Jenkins) was one of master's in pro & super stock Nhra cars back in 60s all that's missing is Christmas tree light park in front or on side.
Good Looking Build Doug, I've Got 2 in My Stash, 1 For THIS Build The Other I'm Doing a Factory Stock w a Six Cylinder as a Replica of My Awesome Late "Gramma's" Car !! God Bless All.
JUST THE FACTS::::: As far as the D-Day invasion goes ( and thanks to all that served in the military ). The stripes painted on the airplanes top and bottom were to identify the Allied planes from below and above ( if any ). However, some were difficult to see and were shot down or shot at in adverse conditions...... OH yeah, Great build !!!! Awesome...... and I'm a truck builder!!!! Thanks.
Great build Doug, nice detail work 😎✌ Ermine white... awesome factory white... I had a 66' Chevelle SS in that color ! ( Also a ex-drag car ) I really love the cigar chompin' 4spd shiftin' Grump.... in that CZcams video, it is a classic ! I was lucky enough to see him race many times.... I know most of his "Toy's" were white and I know of this red one because I copied it on Forza 4 the video game along with many other historic drag cars ! Besides this ride how many other non-white cars did "The Gump" race ? ( By white I mean that as the main color of the car ) Thank you again for the build & please keep the Classic muscle & drag cars comin' ! 😆
I really like watching your videos and the way you paint your models and describe everything the only problem I have with it on your videos why do you have newt come in and ask a question I find it a little weird and so I skipped that every time it comes on and I don't understand why you need another person I have enjoyed your videos ever since I started watching them over a year ago but anyway can't wait to see the next video and yes I will skip newt
SW, Thanks for your feedback. To answer your question, Newt usually asks a basic question about the kit's subject. It encourages young people's curiosity about the subject's history and helps draws them into the hobby. PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers! -Doug
Mike, Sometimes it helps to wrap some tape around the wheel to give it a little larger diameter. Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers! -Doug

Hey Dan, thanks for the information and for watching! -Doug
This car ran in A/S (A Stock), and the '67 396, 375 hp, Camaro ran SS/C (Super Stock C). The '68 Camaro was Bill's first Pro Stock.

on my kit the inner wheels were too small and fell right thru the tires- threw the kit in trash- pure junk
