The hardest song for my band class right now 🙏
I’m my class I’m a 1st bass clarinet our altos don’t know how to play sadly so I carry
Then your band is trash af, since 6th grade we were playing grade 2 music and rn I'm playing grade 4
it’s not that hard
Wait till you get to galactic episode ( if you have that book )
As a flute player I think Celtic air and dance is by far the hardest
R.I.P Robert W. Smith, the best musician I know, I played his songs in band for 3 years straight and they were amazing, R.I.P to a legend💔🕊🕊
I didn't know he died. He was an amazing musician.
Cool, I'm actually learning this song in band this semester.

I play the clarinet, and the clarinet "Solo" in this song hurts my mouth so much! we did this for grade 7-8 band and was awesome!
Same 😭😅
Sameee😂😭
Same💀💀
I’m doing it for 6th!!
the french horn has 2 solos in this song, the second measure it starts.
The tuba part for this is literally 98% the same note
ColaKolaCola as a person who played this, it’s just as boring as it looks! The notes that we play are the same fingering over and over as well!
Bass clarinet is the same too
French Horn too
bruh i play the claves on this, literally just hit them together every 2 notes.
Sometimes tubas suck but sometimes we occasionally get the spotlight and I LOVE IT! I still dont regret choosing tuba and tuba is not my life sports is but US TUBAS ROCK! *TUBAS UNITE!*
As a junior high student listening to this which I played for my first concert it’s like looking old pictures of yourself
Believe me, gets much more nostalgic when you're a senior in HS hearing that a sibling in middle school is playing this
Same. I'm a junior now and I remember playing this in 6th grade😪
I had to play this as a senior in Australian High shcool fanfare competition against other schools, I was grade 10 at the time😎🇦🇺(realt sucks when your a clarinet and u have to play percussion for a song then play another with your instrument)
I was 100th like because I am so epic and nobody else is epic
Im the only flute in my class so its scary when i have to play a solo in the song XD
Try your best it scary but you'll get used to it
Last year all of beginning band had like 7 flutes in total
@@theresachacon1122 my band class has around 6 flutes and a TON of clarinets, and I mean a TON

Yep and when I have my earphones in acting like I'm playing my clarinet and I always hum alone with it so my mom will be just like "wh-"

I played trombone in my 7th grade band for this song. Our piece had the trombones not playing for like 23 measures
Commander Bacara ikr, trombones literally do nothing for most of the song. our teacher gave us the option to play with the bari sax tho

i was a french horn in sixth grade and i remember this song and how repetitive it was. i’m currently a high school freshman and i can still play this song bc of how repetitive it is
played this on flute in grade 5. melody hurt my mouth so much!
Been 6 years since I last touched this song.
this song made me fall in love with timpani.
I love this one! Because this is like the only song we are allowed to gliss! Played this in grade 7 on trombone. Now in grade 12. Wish there were more band arrangements like this where we are allowed to actually gliss for once.
I played this in 4th💀
@@jeremiahlevoy3435WISHH
I also played this on trombone!
Dude lol playing this on the flute was hard
Look at the clarinet piece!
Played in 6th, this song made me stay in band
i have to play this song twice because they forgot we played this for our first concert this year aarrhghg
as a clarinet player i am not happy
Listen to this at the second fastest speed it sounds so cool!
YES
If your in band
What instruments do y'all play?
Do you think it was a good choice??
Do u prefer brass woodwind or percussion?? Better

Though it ain’t bad and I love percussion so far
Oboe and yes it was I prefer my instrument
My school plays clarinet, guitar, saxophone, piano, trumpets, flutes and drums but for this piece we're using clarinets, saxophones, trumpets and drums its very e p i c
Playing this tm, for spring concert 6th grade
Playing it tomorrow
Playing this next week❤️I play flute! We have so many solos!!
Sydney Cox I also play the flute! My band teacher is making me do a solo for the 11 measure.
2 years later, how did it went?
I had play this one flute also, goosebumps went down my spin but was so exciting!
No one ever gets to hear the flutes, it's ridiculous
I played this in sixth grade and im just going into high school now, and I can confidently say that this is one of my favorite piece as french horn
In a week I have a concert and were playing this song
If you like repeating the entire song but 5 measures... PLAY THE HORN
Марадаф демона lol I play that instrument and I have to play this for my spring concert
And Alto sax >:3
If u like playing without quitting play the alto sax😂
Play tuba
Personally, as a clarinetist, measures 35-59 hurt my mouth so much that it’s unbelievable. What probably doesn’t help is that it’s the same part. 12 times over.
I'm playing this in my winter concert
Crowbar _ good luck :D
Try your best even if its a super easy song. Make it sound the best you can
Yo I gotta play this in my band in February😀
My daughter is playing the flute to this song and she is 8 years old and my other daughter plays the trombone to the song also
That’s so cool my son plays tuba on this and he is 5 weeks old!

mine can play at 1.25 speed
I used to play french horn in the past, and I felt POWERFUL playing that solo man, I still hum it every once in a while
I use this song to practice conducting because i know what sound should be where so i can get back on track i i get off
That was the first piece I ever played in band :) it was in 5th grade

Splaying this in a month on clarinet. Any tips?
Practice with a metronome. Mainly practice parts you are struggling with. Be super critical on mistakes and don't stop practicing the part until you don't make that mistake. Follow dynamic markings. First measure accent the notes as written. Since the first measure is at forte(loud) play really loud right when you play the note but immediately softer, but not too soft. The sfp in measure 1 means play the note loud but immediately quiet down a lot, to piano(quiet). Then in measure 2, there is a line, a crescendo, that means you get louder while playing the notes. So in measure 2 after playing the the first two 8th notes you wanna get louder and louder till the first note of measure 3 and play it but right after you play the A in measure 3 quiet down a bit. Stop the note on beat 2. At measure 35, the dots under the notes are called sticatos and that means you play them short and light. The easiest way to play light is to play them slightly quieter but the hard way is to touch the reed with your tongue lightly, remember to keep the note short. Remember what accents are and accent every note that has one on it. Same for sticatos. The last 2 measures the dynamic is fortisimo(ff), that basically means play it loud.
If the band is playing extremely quiet loud isn't going to be that loud so your louds are going to have to be softer. If the band is loud your louds have to be softer and your quiets are going to have to be even softer.
Relax and just count with the horn and sax part.... played this last year and I just sat there playing F-E -A and G the entire time.
Same.
I played this 3 years ago don’t remember much lol
High notes are easier if you press your lips against the reed.
I just stumbled across this. I remember playing this last year omg it was so fun
The trombone part is my favorite
Alto sax played the same part 90% of the time coming from another alto sax
RussellRandomness so is the French horn note
As an Alto saxophone player for the 7th and 8th grade, it's still fun uwu
I play alto sax and bari sax. But with furioso I play from beginning to end and i have like 8 rests the whole song:/
Alto sax plays only a little bit of this song I know this because I play this song
True I played
i play mallets and this version is different.

My school was decided what to play for our concert, and we skipped this song, but we all had separate classes with separate teachers (mine being baritone). My classmates and I got the music from our band teacher (which is now the band director for the varsity band).
