      However I'm not 100% sure he still has an ACTIVE license anywhere because his current job dosent require him to be licensed in any form or be a medical professional.. I think he lost the lisense in Texas and then ended up just not renewing his medical certificates because he had no need.

But why does "being from Europe" matter if we're talking about Dr. Phil? He's American and in the US you can't practise without a license, period. Like someone said before, that's exactly why he sends his guests off to actual practising professionals. But you can't love someone properly, and support what's best for them through a lens of guilt. They all need to heal, as a family.

His father definitely does NOT think he would have done anything differently when the son was a young man. From the videos of the son at an early age, it’s clear that the whole family doesn’t engage in any physical activity and think that junk food is just fine.

      @toi4154 Před 4 lety

      I guess there are many ways to look at it. How I see it is that using your willpower means forcing yourself, and you have limited mental energy for that. Something hard may become easier in time, but it's not because you have more willpower, it's because you need less of it. I guess you could also train your willpower to some degree, but it's still more efficient to try to make things work with as little willpower as possible. You can't rely just on willpower when you're tired, busy, hungry, lacking motivation etc. You need habits that become almost automatic. Habits, once formed, are easy, you don't need much willpower there.
